Hide Your Wife: Chicago Man Pleads Guilty To Trying To Poison His Wife With A Puffer Fish To Collect $20 Million In Life Insurance!

What part of the game is this?!? A north suburban man pleaded guilty Tuesday to posing as a doctor to buy a deadly neurotoxin that comes from sources including puffer fish, which he intended “to use as a weapon,” according to the U.S. attorney’s office. Edward T. Bachner, 38, was arrested in 2008 following an investigation spearheaded by the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force that culminated with special agents in biohazard suits raiding his Lake in the Hills home. He was charged with illegal possession of the puffer fish toxin in amounts larger than necessary for research or other legitimate purposes. In 2009, Bachner was charged in a superseding indictment that accused him of scheming to murder his wife in order to collect $20 million in life insurance. In the plea agreement, Bachner concedes that he planned to collect on a fraudulently purchased $20 million life insurance policy on a person identified only as “Individual A.” Tetrodotoxin, a powerful poison, is produced naturally in puffer fish, a delicacy in Japan. While medical treatment can reduce its effect on the human body in some cases, there is no way to halt the respiratory paralysis and other symptoms associated with tetrodotoxin. How did this guy manage to get the poison in the first place? Posing as a Dr. Edmund Backer, Bachner placed an order for 98 milligrams of TTX in 2008, according to the plea agreement. When the company, a medical and chemical products distributor, informed him that such an amount was not available, Bachner requested that more be shipped to him when it became available, according to the plea agreement. “That’s a ton,” said Dr. Frank Paloucek, a professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago who is an expert in toxins. “He was buying enough to kill 98 people.” Bachner is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 8. He could face a maximum combined sentence of life in prison and a fine of up to $750,000. Maybe he was planning on collecting some other people’s life insurance too…SMH Source

Lindsay Lohan Theft Video Sparks Legal War

Apparently the photo of Lindsay Lohan having her chest clutched by Spencer Falls isn’t the most controversial image of the actress this weekend. The owners of the jewelry store where Lohan stole that necklace are at war with a guy who was trying to hawk the surveillance tape of it. A lawsuit appears imminent, according to TMZ. Geoff and Sofia Kaman, owners of the infamous Kamofie & Company jewelry store, hired a broker, Christopher Spencer, to shop the surveillance tape. Spencer reached a deal with the AP, which agreed to sell the tape of Lindsay Lohan committing the moderate-to- major necklace heist to media outlets. The AP was to give Spencer a cut of the profits, which he would in turn share with the Kamans. But the Kamans believed he was stiffing them. They sent an email to the Associated Press, inquiring about the payments to Spencer, who became livid and fired off a cease and desist letter. “You do not have any legal right to contact the AP and suggest I’ve been ripping you off which is what you’ve done,” the tape’s broker wrote. Spencer continues going off on them, “I am in disbelief that, after achieving so much in your benefit, you’d be reaching out to someone and suggest that my company or I are not paying you money that’s owed to you.” Spencer threatens if the Kamans don’t back off, he’ll sue. The Kamans had no comment, but frankly, they deserve what they get for trying to play the victim with the police, then cash in on Lindsay in the first place. Lohan went on to plead no contest to the charge, which was knocked down to a misdemeanor. She was placed on probation and house arrest.

Slain Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden had a hit list, according to reports, with taking down U.S. President on September 11 of this year his #1 target. Bin Laden’s list called for a “celebration” of the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by shooting down Air Force One with President Obama on board. The terrorist mastermind, who was killed by U.S. forces May 1, also wanted Gen. David Petraeus dead and to crash a plane into a major sports event. A “treasure trove” of documents discovered in Bin Laden’s hideout revealed the plans the Al Qaeda chief was crafting to assassinate Barack Obama. To accomplish that horrific goal, Bin Laden discussed attacking the president’s plane or helicopter with a missile or grenade, officials told ABC News. These machinations were part of U.S. intelligence discoveries that included the murderer’s huge porn stash at his Abbottabad, Pakistan, compound. Sources say that despite Bin Laden’s reputation was the world’s most notorious terrorist and fugitive, success would have been extremely unlikely. “It’s difficult, but not impossible, to shoot down either Gen. Petraeus or the president’s plane,” said Brad Garrett, a former FBI special agent. “The reality is because of all the countermeasures in place, and other planes and helicopters in the air, it’s not a likely scenario,” he added. The plane into a sporting event scenario, however? “We have so many small airports, you could fly below radar,” he said. “That’s possibly doable.” Sweet. Fortunately, the NFL and NBA are currently experiencing lockouts, and no one goes to NHL games (kidding, mostly), leaving only baseball.

How the hell did someone not check THIS ninja out?! Olajide Oluwaseun Noibi, 24, a Nigerian-born man who was found with the stolen ID and up to 10 old boarding passes containing various names, was arrested Wednesday after attempting to board a flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta; five days after passing through layers of airport security at New York’s JFK airport to board a plane with a day-old boarding pass, federal authorities said… Noibi was charged with being a stowaway aboard an aircraft, according to FBI Special Agent Kevin R. Hogg. He is being held at a Los Angeles Metropolitan Detention Center and is expected to be in court Friday. Noibi allegedly managed to get through every layer of security with a fake ID and numerous boarding passes, at least one of which came from another passenger’s pocket. The arrest came after Noibi allegedly boarded a plane Saturday under similar circumstances at JFK and travel to Los Angeles. Noibi boarded Virgin America flight 415 at JFK bound for L.A., according to an FBI affidavit. Virgin Atlantic confirmed in a statement to ABC News that Noibi was allowed to board at the gate with a boarding pass for a flight on a different date, and that its agent “may have missed an alert when the passenger presented a boarding pass from an earlier flight.” “It’s the human factor that’s involved in everything,” said Joseph Morris, a retired Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police officer and former security director at JFK Airport. “We can have the best technology. You can have the best processes and plans, but again it comes down to the human factor and human error. It’s sad how they put us through all this embarrassing bullsh*t with pat-downs and advanced screening, but some a**hole with a student ID and stolen boarding passes can hop a couple planes around the country…SMH Source

Former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who resigned after attempting to sell or barter President Obama’s seat in the U.S. Senate, has been convicted of a VAST range of corruption, bribery and extortion charges. A jury deemed him guilty on 17 of 20 counts . His attorneys insisted that FBI wiretap recordings in which he discussed many illegal activities were just the ramblings of a politician who liked to think aloud. But Blagojevich, who spent 2 1/2 years becoming a punchline, yet professing his innocence on reality shows and on the witness stand, went down hard. The guilty verdict caps an incredible story in which Rod Blagojevich infamously said, on a tapped phone, that the chance to appoint the Senate successor to Obama after he was elected president was “f—ing golden.” Not something to give away “for f—ing nothing,” in other words. He faces up to 300 years in prison, though sentencing guidelines are sure to reduce his time. Still, prosecutors will likely push to have him incarcerated. Rod may not have a leg to stand on. Casey Anthony Trial: Heart-Shaped Stickers, Duct Tape Residue Introduced as Evidence

A physical scientist and forensic examiner testified today that there was heart-shaped residue on the duct tape over the mouth of slain Caylee Anthony. “It was approximately the size of a dime,” Elizabeth Fontaine testified as the murder trial of Casey Anthony, Caylee’s mother, continued this morning. “If you wore a band aid for an extended time, then take it off, there would be glue residue and debris. That’s what this looked like, but heart shaped.” The state, which says Caylee was murdered , plans to introduce evidence that similar heart-shaped stickers were found in Casey Anthony’s home. Some evidence at the trial has been enough to make Casey Anthony sick . But one thing was missing from the tape: fingerprints of the toddler’s killer. The FBI believes the fingerprints vanished when Caylee’s body was outdoors in the months before she was found in the woods near her home. “Fingerprints are fragile,” Fontaine said . “It’s not surprising there were none.” In cross-examination, defense attorney Jose Baez criticized the sticker evidence. “When you examined it a second time, it was gone,” Baez said. “Is that correct?” “It was no longer visible,” said Fontaine, who noted that other FBI agents had tested the duct tape in the meantime while investigating the case. The trial is entering its fourth week, and the prosecution says it will wrap up its case soon. Casey Anthony faces the death penalty if convicted.

Remember the missing woman whose case led one time to eight random bodies ? Now, authorities looking into the death of one of the Craigslist hookers they found have discovered all types of madness in the world of eJohns and iHoes. Members of an Internet sex forum hatched a “revenge” plot against a Long Island hooker who was later murdered and dumped in a serial killer’s burial ground, the Daily News has learned. Talk on longislanderotic.com shows members were outraged when one of their cronies claimed he had paid Amber Lynn Costello $200 for sex, only to be robbed by men who barged into her West Babylon home. “Tell her we are all coming over there with baseball bats,” threatened one member, a self-declared ex-con known as “Morrie.” That ominous threat, and more to follow, has opened a window on what probers say is a virtually unregulated sex network of johns, hookers and escort services. “The Internet has really become a highway for criminality,” said Eugene O’Donnell, a professor of law and police studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. “In terms of prostitution, it’s moved a pretty public enterprise into the shadows more than ever, and made it more difficult for law enforcement to get a handle on it.” Investigators would not say if any of the online johns are suspects in the probe of a possible serial killer who dumped as many as 10 bodies along Gilgo Beach and Jones Beach. Still, law enforcement sources say the chilling online thread is the type of internet-based sex crime that attracted the FBI to the case. The four victims found in December – Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Melissa Barthelemy and Megan Waterman, in addition to Costello – were craigslist hookers. All had been strangled and stuffed in burlap sacks. The bodies of a woman, a man, a child and an adult whose gender hasn’t been determined were found between March 29 and April 4. It has been fourteen years since The Notorious BIG was shot and killed 50 yards outside the Peterson Automotive Museum. No arrests were made in connection to the act and the case was closed in 2005. The FBI released new documents online, last week regarding the murder, how Biggie was killed with rare ammunition they had found on the scene. Biggie was shot with a 9mm pistol. After ballistic examinations, it was rendered that the bullet shell casing was made by Gecko. “Gecko is a metal piercing round made in Europe and rarely found in the U.S.” After reading the report it is clear that the LAPD missed many leads that could have ultimately led to the finding of BIG’s killer. A young lady who was jealous and enraged about the fact that her ex-boyfriend had moved on , has been charged for trying to hire a hitman to kill his new lover with stolen credit cards from Paypal: Marissa Mark, 28, from Allentown, Pennsylvania is alleged to have hired Essam Ahmed Eid through his amateurish website www.hitmanforhire.net. She wanted him to kill Anne Royston for $37,000 in 2006. She is accused of paying a $19,000 deposit with three stolen credit cards through website PayPal. Marissa Mark, left, is accused of hiring Las Vegas poker dealer Essam Eid, left, through his website www.hitmanforhire.net to kill her ex-boyfriend’s new lover. The shoddy website said: ‘Whether you are trying to put an end to a domestic dispute or eliminate your business competitors, we have the solution for you’. The hire-a-hitman website, which has since been taken down, said: ‘Assassinations are the most practical solutions to common problems. Thanks to the Internet, ordering a hit has never been easier. We manage a network of freelance assassins, available to kill at a moment’s notice.’ Court documents show that PayPal refused to transfer the money Mark allegedly paid from three stolen credit cards, meaning Eid never received any money. According to FBI accounts and court documents, Royston – who worked as a loan broker – was first contacted by Eid in September 2006 under the pretence of wanting to refinance his house. He visited her officers in Woodland Hills, California with one of his two wives, Theresa Engle, posing as his assistant, and told her ‘Somebody wants your head. Somebody wants you killed and they hate you a lot.’ He said he decided against killing her because she reminded him of his own daughter and she could save her life and see Mark dead by settling the balance of the contract. In this current case Mark was arrested in Jersey City, New Jersey and transferred to Allentown, Pennsylvania where she appeared in court charged with conspiracy, identity theft and other counts.
