Mississippi Man Found Hanging From Tree A Mississipi man, missing for over a month, was just found hanging by his neck from a tree in the woods behind his home. Authorities are still unclear as to whether the man’s death was a suicide or a murder — or who would have reason to kill him in such a manner. Via CNN : The hanging death of an African-American man who had been missing since early this month and was found Thursday by local authorities in Mississippi has drawn the scrutiny of the FBI and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division. The sheriff’s office in Claiborne County, Mississippi, had organized a search for the man, who had been missing since March 2 and was reported missing March 8. Authorities found the body hanging from a tree in the woods behind the residence where he had been living. It is unclear if it is a suicide, or if the man was killed by someone. A law enforcement official says the man found hanging is believed to be 54-year-old Otis Byrd, who has been missing since earlier this month. According to the Mississippi Department of Corrections, Byrd was convicted in 1980 for murdering a woman. He was paroled in 2006. We will keep you posted on this story as more developments arise. CNN

Turns out, the waiter is in cahoots with two young psychopaths named Kyle and Daisy, the latter of whom poses as a prostitute to lure a horny couple to its death. Hardy and company eventually find their way to this murder scene and find the couple rigged up to a tableau along with the words “Ryan Hardy Lies.” It’s nearly identical to the scene at another location that reads “Max Hardy Lies.” Wait… The culprits are recreating moments that the FBI murdered members of the Carroll-Gray House of Crazies. “Mark is behind this,” Mike says. It’s true: the surviving Gray brother is behind this influx of death. His squad is comprised of the waiter (real name: Andrew), Daisy and Kyle… and Luke, who now apparently just exists in Mark’s messed up brain. The FBI fortunately intercepts the group prior to its next killing spree, but they can only corral Andrew. Everyone else gets away AND kills another innocent, just as Ryan interrogates Andrew and we learn that he drove the getaway car the night Luke died. Finally, the premiere concludes with the FBI unit at a loss: Max is drinking… Ryan is admitting he needs Gwen… Kyle is telling Daisy they can’t leave Mark, who they may be secretly working against (at Joe’s behest, perhaps?)… and Mark/Luke is plotting to kill an FBI agent the next day. Wow… So he’s a snitch who takes bribes!? If we didn’t already think Al Sharpton was shady enough, the NY Post dropped a detailed report over the weekend that explains how he gets money for NOT throwing cororations under the bust for racism: For more than a decade, corporations have shelled out thousands of dollars in donations and consulting fees to Sharpton’s National Action Network. What they get in return is the reverend’s supposed sway in the black community or, more often, his silence. Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal met with the activist preacher after leaked emails showed her making racially charged comments about President Obama. Pascal was under siege after a suspected North Korean cyberattack pressured the studio to cancel its release of “The Interview,” which depicts the assassination of dictator Kim Jong-un. No payments to NAN have been announced, but Sharpton and Pascal agreed to form a “working group” to focus on racial bias in Hollywood. Sharpton notably did not publicly assert his support for Pascal after the meeting — what observers say seems like a typical Sharpton “shakedown” in the making. Pay him in cash or power, critics say, and you buy his support or silence. “Al Sharpton has enriched himself and NAN for years by threatening companies with bad publicity if they didn’t come to terms with him. Put simply, Sharpton specializes in shakedowns,” said Ken Boehm, chairman of the National Legal & Policy Center, a Virginia-based watchdog group that has produced a book on Sharpton. And Sharpton, who now boasts a close relationship with Obama and Mayor Bill de Blasio, is in a stronger negotiating position than ever. “Once Sharpton’s on board, he plays the race card all the way through,” said a source who has worked with the Harlem preacher. “He just keeps asking for more and more money.” We figured he was up to something but this just seems so greedy and unjust. We just hope some of that fortune being funneled into Nationa Action Network actually goes toward helping the companies that need and want them. Here’s more details: Sharpton raised $1 million for NAN at his 60th birthday bash in October, with donations rolling in from unions and a corporate roster of contributors including AT&T, McDonald’s, Verizon and Walmart. Companies have long gotten in line to pay Sharpton. Macy’s and Pfizer have forked over thousands to NAN, as have General Motors, American Honda and Chrysler. NAN had repeatedly and without success asked GM for donations for six years beginning in August 2000, a GM spokesman told The Post. Then, in 2006, Sharpton threatened a boycott of GM over the planned closing of an African-American-owned dealership in The Bronx. He picketed outside GM’s Fifth Avenue headquarters. GM wrote checks to NAN for $5,000 in 2007 and another $5,000 in 2008. Sharpton targeted American Honda in 2003 for not hiring enough African-Americans in management positions. “We support those that support us,” Sharpton wrote to the company. “We cannot be silent while African-Americans spend hard-earned dollars with a company that does not hire, promote or do business with us in a statistically significant manner.” Two months later, car company leaders met with Sharpton, and Honda began to sponsor NAN’s events. The protests stopped. Sharpton landed a gig as a $25,000-a-year adviser to Pepsi after he threatened a consumer boycott of the soda company in 1998, saying its ads did not portray African-Americans. Assata Shakur Will Not Be Extradited Back To America By Cuba Havana drew the line at giving back American fugitives granted asylum in Cuba , after NJ Governor Chris Christie urged President Obama to demand extradition of a convicted cop-killer before reestablishing bilateral ties. Via RT USA reports: The person Christie wants back in a US jail is Assata Shakur, an activist, former member of the Black Panther Party and Black Liberation Army (BLA), who was the first woman to be placed by the FBI on its most-wanted list. Shakur, whose name was Joanne Chesimard at the time, was tried and convicted to life in prison for killing New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster during a shootout in 1973. A BLA member sitting in the car with Shakur was killed in the same incident, while Shakur herself and a second police officer were wounded. It took three trials for a verdict to be reached. Amid disparity in accounts by the police and some eyewitnesses and medical evidence pointing to Shakur inability to shoot a firearm after her hands were wounded in the gun battle, she was convicted in 1977 and sentenced to life in prison. Two years later she escaped and remains a fugitive. She fled to Cuba and was granted asylum on the grounds of being persecuted by the US for her political activism. The decision may have been affected by the no fewer than six other criminal trials that Shakur faced in her home country between 1973 and 1977 – all ending with either acquittal or dismissal of the charges. For US law enforcement Shakur remains a dangerous criminal on the run, meriting a place on the FBI’s most-wanted list and a $2 million bounty combined from the bureau and the New Jersey state police. Republican Governor Christie demanded that her extradition be made a condition for America’s normalizing ties with Cuba in blunt terms. “Cuba’s provision of safe harbor to Chesimard by providing political asylum to a convicted cop killer … is an affront to every resident of our state, our country, and in particular, the men and women of the New Jersey State Police,” Christie wrote in a letter to President Barack Obama. “I urge you to demand the immediate return of Chesimard before any further consideration of restoration of diplomatic relations with the Cuban government.” But Havana apparently is not willing to negotiate on Christie or any other person granted asylum in Cuba, declaring it is the legitimate right of a sovereign state. “We’ve explained to the US government in the past that there are some people living in Cuba to whom Cuba has legitimately granted political asylum,” Josefina Vidal, Cuba’s point person for the reengagement with the US after decades of hostilities, told AP on Monday. She added that the two nations have no extradition treaty and that the US has “given shelter to dozens and dozens of Cuban citizens. “Some of them [are] accused of horrible crimes, some accused of terrorism, murder and kidnapping, and in every case the US government has decided to welcome them,” she said. An outraged Christie responded to Vidal’s statement later in the day. “So Joanne Chesimard, a cold-blooded cop-killer, convicted by a jury of her peers, in what is without question the fairest and most just criminal justice system in the world – certainly much more just than anything that’s happened in Cuba under the Castro brothers – she is now, according to an official of the Cuban government, persecuted,” he said, branding the Cuban government “thugs.” Bernadette Meehan, a spokeswoman for the White House’s National Security Council, said the Obama administration will “continue to press in our engagement with the Cuban government for the return of US fugitives in Cuba to pursue justice for the victims of their crimes.” Discuss…

Sony Pictures has canceled the release of The Interview, its comedy on the fictional assassination of Kim Jong Un, in an unprecedented victory for North Korea. The Interview Trailer Hackers who have been waging a cyber war on the production company threatened a 9/11-style attack on theaters and movie goers who saw The Interview. As a result, many theaters dropped The Interview this week, and now Sony has canceled it in the wake of the threats and a never-ending hacking scandal. “Sony has no further release plans for the film,” a Sony spokeswoman said when asked whether the movie would be released later in theaters or on demand. North Korea has denied responsibility for the Sony hacking , but the nation has been incensed by the movie since its inception and threatened payback. Right on cue, Sony was hacked last month, with millions of leaked documents drawing global headlines and unreleased films being distributed online. The United States may soon officially announce that the North Korean government was behind the attack , a federal government source told Reuters. NSC spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said, noting that the U.S. was not involved with Sony’s decision to pull the film, that the investigation is ongoing: “The U.S. government is working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice, and we are considering a range of options in weighing a potential response.” The Interview Movie Trailer The White House National Security Council said the United States was investigating the Sony breach and would provide an update when the time was right.
