According to TMZ : More legal trouble for Katt Williams — the comic has just been sued for $5 million after allegedly socking his female assistant …. and causing her permanent injuries. Melissa Ishage filed the lawsuit in L.A. County Superior Court, claiming she’d been working as Katt’s personal assistant — but on October 6th, things suddenly went sour at Katt’s house … when Katt attacked her, punching her and causing her “serious and permanent injuries.” Melissa doesn’t explain why Katt flew into a rage — but claims she had to go to the hospital as a result of the beatdown … and now she wants at least $5 million from Katt to call it even. Melissa’s attorney tells us, his client claims Katt struck her in the head and knocked her to the ground. The lawyer says police were called to the scene but no one was arrested. You’ve probably already seen the ‘urgent’ message circulating in your facebook news feed, but reps from the NAACP are saying this isht just isn’t true and is just another tactic being used to confuse voters ! According to The Root : A widely circulated foreboding message purporting to warn supporters of President Obama of an electronic voting “trick” that could exclude their vote for the president if they select only the “All Democrats” option has been debunked by the South Carolina branch of the NAACP. Still, it continues to make the rounds on Facebook and email, spreading confusion that some worry could lead voters in states that allow straight-ticket voting to remove their vote for the office of the president. “PLEASE PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO THIS! In the event that you are planning to vote democrat on Nov. 6, when you go into the voting booths, DO NOT SELECT THE BUTTON “all democrats” first because Barack Obama will be excluded from the vote,” a screenshot of a Facebook status attached to one email reads. It goes on to instruct voters to select “Barack Obama” first and then “all democrats” and ends with “People are not being told this information because they are trying every trick in the book.” Not true, says the South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP. The organization has issued a warning to voters: “If a South Carolina voter chooses the straight party option first on our voting machines, the selection box for all candidates of the intended political party will automatically be checked, including the presidential candidate.” The main concern raised by the message is that voters confused by the instructions may touch their presidential selection a second time, which would actually remove their vote for that office, the NAACP told WCBD-TV Charleston in October. Thus, the organization recommends that each voter review all of his or her selections made on the voting machine before pressing the final button to confirm the ballot and asks that anyone who has forwarded the misleading message to others follow up with a message of caution about the advice. South Carolina NAACP President Lonnie Randolph says that he’s not surprised that the misleading information seems to targets the types of ballots used by South Carolina voters. He attributes the effort to a long history of hostility toward African-American political power in his own state that dates back to Reconstruction. He doesn’t know who’s behind it, but he believes that it has already caused confusion, particularly among the state’s more vulnerable citizens. “That’s why we had a press conference. So many people in South Carolina already feel threatened. We have a lot of first-time voters in this election, and the machines are not the simplest thing to deal with. Folks will need some assistance, particularly elderly people,” he said. If this is, in fact, a hoax meant to confuse voters or suppress the votes of Democrats, it’s unfortunately nothing new. Just last month, Think Progress warned of misinformation campaigns, including those telling voters that they can vote by phone, that they are at risk of being purged from the rolls, that they must show identification to vote and more. Randolph told The Root that South Carolina has seen other forms of intimidation and misleading information this election cycle, including employers threatening their employees with layoffs, reduced house, and loss of health insurance if Mitt Romney is not elected, as well as recent e-mails attempting to convince voters that, as result of Hurricane Sandy, the election date has been moved. They coached the poor thang into prostitution and used her money to pay their own bills! The little girl must have missed out on having a strong male (or adult period) in her life because these two look crazy! According to The Miami Herald : The young girl had run away from home to be with her much-older boyfriend and within a day her beau made a shocking demand, according to police: Become his prostitute or go home…The 13-year-old agreed. She worked the Biscayne Boulevard strip, giving the man half the money she earned, police said, until he threatened to kill her. Now that man, Daron Eugene Sneed, 26, is in jail and facing a slew of charges, including procuring a person under the age of 18 for prostitution. He is being held in a Miami-Dade jail without bail. A woman who worked with him — and, police said, helped train the girl to be a prostitute — also was arrested on various charges. Melquinice T. Macklin, 20, was being held in a Miami-Dade jail on $2 million bail. Both were booked into jail Thursday after a lengthy investigation. Reached by phone, Macklin’s mother, who did not give her name, said “Those are just allegations. Obviously that’s why we have the court of law.” The investigation involved Miami-Dade schools police, Miami police and the State Attorney’s Office. It was the fall of 2011. The girl was waiting for her school bus at Northwest 22nd Avenue and 183rd Street when Sneed, also known as “Killer,” went up and befriend her. They kept in touch, first through their cell phones, later meeting up in person at a playground. On Sept. 11, 2011, the girl ran away from home with Sneed. While on a bus to Biscayne Boulevard, Sneed convinced her to work as a prostitute, “telling her that, if she didn’t do it, then she would have to return home,” the affidavit said. He knew her age was 13. She performed her first act of prostitution 15 minutes after getting on Biscayne inside an abandoned home for $80. Macklin gave the girl lessons in how to be a prostitute, the affidavit said, even though the girl had been reported as a runaway. For about a week, she worked mostly out of the Kings Motel, 7150 Biscayne Blvd., giving half the money she earned to Sneed, who beat up johns who refused to pay, according to the affidavit. Macklin and Sneed supervised, using the money for food and shelter. On Sept. 17, 2011, the girl left after Sneed threatened to kill her. SMH @ this man shooting somebody at the church and then going to the mall like nothing happened. An arrest has been made and more is now known about the shooting at Creflo Dollar’s Atlanta church Wednesday and it’s likely to get you heated about the failures of our justice system. Via Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports : A man arrested Wednesday and charged with the fatal shooting of a prayer leader at World Changers Church International pleaded guilty to shooting a man a decade ago in Baltimore and was committed to a mental health facility there. Floyd Palmer, 52, calmly walked into a prayer service Wednesday morning at the College Park megachurch founded by the Rev. Creflo Dollar and opened fire as 20 to 25 people watched in horror. Greg McDowell, 39, fell mortally wounded and Palmer, a former church employee, “left just as calmly” as he entered, Fulton County police spokeswoman Cpl. Kay Lester said. The suspect left in a black Subaru station wagon and was in the vortex of a massive police search until he was arrested without incident at Lenox Square in Buckhead just before 4 p.m. Palmer, who resigned from the church in August for personal reasons, had been charged previously with attempted murder. In 2004 he pleaded guilty to assault charges and was deemed “not criminally responsible” and was committed, according to Maryland court records. Other records indicate that shooting occurred in 2001. Christine Singleterry, Palmer’s former mother-in-law, said Palmer shot a man following an argument at a Baltimore mosque. “He got him to go outside and then shot him in the parking lot,” said Singleterry. She said he served about 18 months in the mental facility and was released. She said the victim remains paralyzed. Singleterry said her daughter, who is now deceased, divorced Palmer in the 1990s because he was abusive. They had two daughters who are now grown. “He was mixed up and argumentative,” she said. Family members said he moved to Atlanta several years ago. Mack Simpson, who is married to Palmer’s sister, was shocked to hear the news. “That’s a shame,” he said. “This is the second time.” McDowell, a father of two young children, was a member of the church’s production crew and a facilities maintenance manager there, police said. Karen Webb, who had taken her mother to the church for Bible study, said she was told the victim was shot six times. “I brought my mother up here to go to church — every Wednesday she attends Bible study. As soon as we get here I’m told someone has been shot,” Webb said. “He was one of the praise leaders.” Dollar, a popular televangelist, started World Changers Ministries in 1986 with eight members, holding services in the cafeteria of a local elementary school, according to the church’s website. Its campus now occupies 81 acres, with services held in the 8,500-seat World Dome. Dollar is a regular on the Trinity Broadcasting Network. Attempts to reach Dollar were unsuccessful. Ken Terry, a pastor at the church, called McDowell a “tremendous leader, role model and father.” He said McDowell had been a longtime member of the church. “He was faithful for a number of years. We have known him for years. Since he was a little kid.” Terry spoke of McDowell’s two sons. “He spent a tremendous amount of time with them. He was the model dad.” McDowell was described as an uplifting man, as evidenced by postings on his Facebook site. In 2010, McDowell wrote, “One of the most valuable assets we can possess is a positive attitude towards our lives. Your attitude is one of the first things people notice when they come in contact with you. Make it good.” Another time, he wrote, “Life’s too short not to enjoy it.” This man was allowed free after shooting someone, injuring him so badly that he was paralyzed and then he took a good man off this earth and away from his family? Aw hell naw. Somebody gotta pay. What the fawk is going on with our justice system that this is allowed to happen time and time again. It’s beyond time to get tough on violent convicts. SMH. He was sharing pics of himself online and finally got caught after more than two years of abuse ! 31-year-old “Vlad” was a drummer in a band who obviously thought looking like you were associated with the Insane Clown Posse was a cool thing. His own band members didn’t even find out about his sick, perverted ways until a friend alerted them after the news broke; they posted up their disgust and shock quick as isht on their facebook page. According to The Huffington Post : His band is called “The Core Of Your Nightmares,” but it’s his suspected life at home that will keep you awake at night. Police say Martin “Vlad” Evanick — who regularly dons a creepy clown outfit and plays drums in an Illinois metal band — was charged for allegedly producing and sharing child pornography for more than two years, KMOV reports. Federal investigators said this week that the 31-year-old Metro East man took inappropriate pictures of himself engaged in a sex act with a child. Officials believe he has abused the child several times since June of 2010. Evanick was deemed a flight risk and held in jail without bond pending a trial, according to KSDK. It’s yet unclear how investigators were tipped off to the material. On his Facebook page, a majority of Evanick’s pictures feature him in clown makeup and splattered with blood. He does not appear to be a professional clown. He can also be seen around children in some of the pictures, and he’s featured playing drums in his band, though his bandmates have already denounced him. A friend of “The Core Of Your Nightmares” wrote this morning, “Just heard some pretty disturbing news about your drummer Vlad, it’s all over the news.” A band member responded, “We had absolutely no idea, we are just as appalled as you are, trust me!” An apparent friend of Evanick’s wrote that the drummer “always kept his life private.” “I’ve known Vlad for eight years and would have never expected him to do this,” the person wrote. “We are all shocked … I know if we thought for a second he was doing this we would have put a stop to it.” If convicted, Evanick faces up to 30 years in prison a $250,000 fine and a long term of supervised release, KSDK reports. The rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, is serving 18 months of probation for pointing a gun at a Chicago cop. He was also found delinquent on two other felonies. Prosecutors argued he violated the probation by having a gun in a video posted online. They pointed to a recorded media interview the rapper did in June at a gun range in New York, where he can be seen with a gun. The 18-year-old singer signed a two-year contract with the fashion label and will be the face of NEO’s campaigns under their “Live Your Style” slogan. Barack proved himself to be passionate and in control tonight. And he corrected Mitt on more incorrect facts than we can count on one hand. While Mitt was rude and showed a complete lack of respect and understanding of Women, the middle-class, and energy and job concerns, Barack stayed on topic for the majority of the debate and didn’t let Mittens shake him up. Robney offended women when he addressed the question of equal pay and pathetically responded by saying he “had a binder full of women” and would “figure out a way for Mom’s to get home in time to make dinner”. He also lied about contraception coverage for women…he has said in the past that employers can decide if they want to cover it or not. He also blamed single parents for gun control issues and continues to bring up his ‘five points’ without explaining what his ‘five point plan’ actually is. According to CNN… A forceful Obama defended his record and challenged Romney on shifting positions in the 90-minute debate, arguing his Republican rival’s policies would favor the wealthy if elected. Romney repeatedly attacked Obama’s record, saying millions of unemployed people and sluggish economic recovery showed the president’s policies had failed. Obama was more animated and engaging than his understated and widely panned performance in their first debate nearly two weeks ago. “Governor Romney says he’s got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn’t have a five-point plan; he has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules,” Obama said about his opponent’s approach for boosting the economy. Romney shot back that Obama was “great as a speaker, but his policies don’t work.” “That’s what this election is all about,” Romney said, saying he would prioritize middle class growth. “It’s about how we can get the middle class of this country a bright and prosperous future.” However, Romney failed to provide further specifics of his tax policy, even when one audience member asked about unspecified deductions and loopholes the candidate says he will eliminate. On a sensitive foreign policy topic, the candidates clashed at the front of the stage over the September 11 terrorist attack in Libya that killed four Americans, with Romney suggesting the Obama administration played politics by failing to immediately acknowledge what happened. Obama shot back that the suggestion anyone in his administration would play politics on such an issue was “offensive.” When Obama said he called it a terrorist attack shortly afterward, Romney challenged him, and Obama responded “check the transcript.” “More debt and less jobs. I’m going to change that. I know what it takes to create good jobs again,” Romney said, addressing the first-time voter. “When you come out in 2014 — I presume I’m going to be president — I’m going to make sure you get a job.” The most recent CNN “poll of polls” — an aggregate of the latest major surveys — showed Romney with a slight edge nationally at 48. In the battleground states considered up-for-grabs, polls show Romney has narrowed Obama’s lead or caught the president just three weeks before the election. The Obama campaign conceded he had a bad night in the first debate and promised a more aggressive approach in New York. This guy really has some damn nerve. And on the night before he’s sentenced for the Penn State scandal, Sandusky thought it was a good idea to share his side one more time. Releasing an overly-dramatic recorded statement from his cell, Sandusky chose to go on the defense and attacked everyone, from his victims, to the media…even the university, for the reason he’s still locked-up after being “falsely accused”. According to TMZ… In his statement, the disgraced ex football coach says, “A young man who was dramatic, a veteran accuser, and always sought attention, started everything.” Sandusky goes on to say the initial accuser “was joined by a well-orchestrated effort of the media, investigators, the system, Penn State, psychologists, civil attorneys and other accusers. They won. I’ve wondered what they really won: Attention, financial gain, prestige… will all be temporary.” Sandusky also rambles about his attorneys not having enough time to prepare for the trial — in which the jury found him guilty of 45 counts of child ____ deviance — and insinuates all his accusers came forward purely for financial gain. And there’s this odd claim … on the recording, Sandusky says his wife “has been his only partner that was after marriage. Our love continues.” Sandusky is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow morning … and faces up to 400 years in prison. Wow…homeboy’s crazy!
