Britney Spears’ San Francisco Show Was ‘Hella Hot,’ Fans Say

‘It was stunning,’ says one fan who flew in from Alaska to see concert set to air Tuesday on ‘Good Morning America.’ By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs during “Good Morning America” Photo: C Flanigan/FilmMagic SAN FRANCISCO — Britney Spears turned the heat all the way up on Sunday morning (March 27), when she hit the stage at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco for a concert set to air on “Good Morning America.” Her set list was similar to the one she followed just days earlier at a Las Vegas performance at the Palms Casino. Fans will get to see her show when it airs Tuesday on “GMA” — the same day her Femme Fatale album drops — but the ones who were lucky enough to catch her on Sunday couldn’t stop gushing about how “amazing” Brit was. “So I totally loved how her bustier was lit up,” Corina Andrati excitedly told MTV News moments after Spears wrapped her three-song set. “I’m so blessed to be here, and it’s all about San Francisco.” Sarah added that Spears was as good as she was when her debut album dropped more than a decade ago. “It was amazing,” she gushed. “It was so hot! We live here in the city, and she was sexier than ever and I’d go lesbian for her. She really blew it up.” “It was amazing,” Jos

Perez Hilton Reveals Birthday Wishes For Lady Gaga, Anti-Bullying

Celeb blogger blew out the candles at his Blue Ball Birthday Bash, telling MTV News he’ll donate event proceeds to an LGBT charity. By Kelley L. Carter Perez Hilton Photo: Valerie Macon/Getty Images LOS ANGELES — Perez Hilton had two wishes for his birthday this year. The 33-year-old blogger, who celebrated in grand Hollywood fashion on Saturday night at a Sunset Boulevard studio in Los Angeles, says that if he has his way, two things will come to pass: Lady Gaga’s Born This Way will be a super hot-selling album and teen bullying will cease. “My birthday wish for this year is for Lady Gaga’s new album, Born This Way, to sell over 1.2 million copies the first week,” he said, pausing to give off a mock-sinister laugh. “That would beat Taylor Swift’s 1.1-something!” That was actually the only kind-of-mean thing the notorious blogger said at his Blue Ball Birthday Bash on Saturday. And it could be the last. Perez said he has cleaned up his act, largely due to the teen bullying that’s been well-documented over the past year. “When there was that rash of gay teenagers committing suicide last year, and the bullying that is still going on, I was so moved. So moved that I changed how I operate on my website. When it came time to do my birthday, the idea came to me to raise money for charity and, of course, I wanted it to be a LBGT organization. And of course it was important for to me to work with one for young people,” he told MTV News. So what does that kind of change mean? For starters, it means Perez may not have to duck celebrities anymore. He’s been trying to stick to the facts, he said, and do less of the ad-libs like drawing on their paparazzi photographs. He also opened up about how he apologized to Jennifer Aniston for how he treated her over the years on his blog. “The great thing about being the new and more positive Perez is that I, hopefully, will be having less awkward, uncomfortable, negative confrontations with people,” he said. “But hey, I’m a big boy. I’ve done things in the past I’m not that proud of.” What do you think of Perez’s birthday wishes? Tell us in the comments! Related Photos Perez Hilton’s Blue Ball Birthday Celebration

Brit performs Femme Fatale tracks, shouts out LGBT teens at concert set to air Tuesday on ‘Good Morning America.’ By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears performs during “Good Morning America” Photo: C Flanigan/FilmMagic SAN FRANCISCO — The city of San Francisco loves Britney Spears and that love was apparent at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, where the pop star performed some of her brand-new Femme Fatale club bangers on Sunday afternoon (March 27). The excited roomful of fans were among the lucky group tapped to watch her tape a “Good Morning America” performance, which will air on Tuesday, the same day her album drops. Check out hot photos of Britney’s “GMA” performance . Before Spears even hit the stage, five fabulous drag queens warmed up the crowd and declared their adoration for the femme fatale herself. Their sassy back-and-forth was followed by Cheer SF, a cheerleading act. After the room was sufficiently warmed up, “GMA” hosts Sam Champion and Robin Roberts came onstage to introduce Spears. From a set that mirrored the one used in her Las Vegas show two nights ago, Spears kicked off with her lead single, “Hold It Against Me.” She dazzled the crowd with an engaging performance, dancing around in a stunning silver bodysuit. After the song, she smiled, telling the crowd “It’s beautiful” being in San Francisco to perform for them. After a change of clothes into a body-hugging, black bodysuit, Spears got sexy for the will.i.am collabo “Big Fat Bass.” As she shimmied to the thumping track, fans cheered along. Spears even gave a shout-out to the local gay youths who were in attendance from the Larkin Street homeless shelter and the LYRIC center for LGBT youth. “They’re in the front row; thanks for coming.” Between songs, Roberts and Champion taped intros and the former teased a top-secret announcement Britney is set to make on Tuesday when the show airs. Spears then performed one more track, her second single, “Till the World Ends,” to cap off the performance. After her last song, an excited-looking Britney gazed at her fans and told them she was looking forward to releasing her new album: “I love music. It’s my world, it’s my everything.” Before she left the stage, Brit was presented with a certificate from the city, and she thanked them exuberantly the super warm reception. Britney Spears’ ‘GMA’ Tickets Auctioned Off For Japan Relief

Fan paid more than $1,000 for VIP passes to Spears’ performance this Sunday in San Francisco. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage Britney Spears is doing her part to try and help those affected by the tragic events in Japan. The Femme Fatale singer donated two tickets to her “Good Morning America” taping this Sunday in San Francisco to a local area radio station who then decided to use them for some good. Bay Area radio station Wild 94.9 got their hands on two VIP passes to the show, which they in turn put up for auction, with proceeds going to the Salvation Army . By the time the auction closed on Wednesday night, the winner had bought their spot for $1,136. Spears will be in in San Francisco this Sunday to pre-tape her “GMA” appearance, which will air on Tuesday — the day that her Femme Fatale album drops. Spears was originally slated to perform in the Castro district at midday, but due to potentially wet weather conditions, the show has been moved to the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium . ‘GMA’ host Robin Roberts, who interviewed Chris Brown earlier this week, will be on hand to chat with Britney for the segment. “Good morning, America,” Spears said, her voice sounding a bit low and hoarse, in a promo for her ‘GMA’ gig that aired late last month. “I’m excited to tell you on Tuesday morning, March 29, I’ll be performing for the first time ever in a special concert in San Francisco … on ‘Good Morning America.’ And I promise you it’ll be a morning to remember. See you soon!” Spears also appeared in a second clip promoting the performance, in which she told fans, “Wake up with me. This is going to be so good.” Spears’ ‘GMA’ visit kicks off promo for Femme Fatale , which will include several appearances on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” the week that the album drops. MTV will dedicate this Tuesday to the femme fatale herself for what is being dubbed a “Britney take-over” day on the network. Additionally, Spears will make an appearance on the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards on April 2, though there is no word on whether she’ll be performing, presenting or just getting slimed. 25 Fun Facts About Britney Spears, Written By Someone Who Works For Britney Spears

Britney Spears Wanted To ‘Experiment’ On Femme Fatale

‘I really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound,’ she tells Rolling Stone. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears in “Hold It Against Me” Photo: Jive When Britney Spears started planning Femme Fatale, there was no doubt in her mind that she wanted to take her time and make something incredibly different from anything she’s previously released. In a chat with Rolling Stone, the singer said she thinks she accomplished what she set out to do: “make a fresh-sounding album for the clubs or something that you play in your car when you’re going out at night that gets you excited.” “I wanted it to sound different from everything else out right now,” she told the mag. “I also wanted to experiment with all the different types of music I love, which is why you hear a mixture of pop, hip-hop and dance throughout the album. I also really wanted to play with my voice and change up my sound here and there, which was really fun.” Her first two singles certainly fit that bill. “Hold It Against Me” and “Till the World Ends” are sexy dance jams that are just a taste of what the album is about. “I really didn’t want to record anything on this album that could be mistaken for anyone else out there. I think my first two singles, ‘Hold It Against Me’ and ‘Till the World Ends,’ sound completely different from anything else,” she said. “And I think when my fans hear the rest of Femme Fatale, they’ll see how fresh every song is.” On the album, Spears worked with longtime collaborators Dr. Luke and Max Martin, but she also hooked up with will.i.am on the song “Big Fat Bass.” “The Peas make incredibly catchy, fun pop/dance records and I love will.i.am’s style,” she raved. “I have always wanted to do a song with him and would love to work with him more in the future. He is so interesting.” Like Spears, Luke wanted to push the boundaries for this album, and Spears described her “picky” attitude toward choosing songs, knowing that she wanted it to be “unique” from the other tracks on the radio. “I only wanted songs that I immediately connected to. I also wanted to make sure that this album was completely different from Circus or anything else I had ever recorded,” she said. “I love Circus, but I wanted something darker and edgier. I also wanted to make an album and didn’t want to just record a bunch of songs and put them together. I think Femme Fatale is really connected from start to finish.” Are you looking forward to Britney’s new music? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Britney Spears
