Britney Spears Teases Femme Fatale’s ‘I Wanna Go’

Spears tweets link to song clip, produced by Max Martin and Shellback. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears Photo: Getty Images As fans get closer to the March 29 release of Britney Spears’ latest album, Femme Fatale , more teasers of tracks off the Dr. Luke/Max Martin executive-produced album are hitting the Web. On Tuesday (February 22), Spears tweeted a link to a 29-second clip of “I Wanna Go,” calling Martin “amazing.” The song kicks off with a thumping beat, as the melody plays lightly over it. Brit’s staccato vocals — “I wanna go-o-o all the way-ay-ay” — enter as the teaser fades out. The song was co-produced and written by Shellback, who recently worked with Spears on “If U Seek Amy” and “3.” He also hooked up with Usher for “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,” Robyn on “Time Machine” and Avril Lavigne for “What The Hell.” Thus far, all the tracks Spears has revealed in anticipation of the release of Femme Fatale have been club bangers. Last week, she released the dark, sleek video for her lead single, “Hold It Against Me,” and days later, she teased her next single, “Inside Out.” “In my opinion, this is her strongest album ever,” her manager, Larry Rudolph, told MTV News about the March 29 release. “It’s somewhat of a departure from what she’s done. It’s more mature. It’s more of a dance record.” Are you looking forward to the release of Femme Fatale ? Tell us below! Britney Spears Tweets First Snippet Of New Single ‘Inside Out’

Spears and producer Dr. Luke post 10-second audio clip for second single off new album Femme Fatale. By Shawn Adler Britney Spears Femme Fatale Photo: Jive Just two days after Britney Spears released her highly anticipated video for “Hold It Against Me,” the 29-year-old diva is back to give fans another treat with a brief snippet from her next single, “Inside Out.” “C’mon! Won’t you give me something to remember,” Spears sings in the barely 10-second clip, revealed by the singer and her producer, Dr. Luke, on Twitter . “Baby shut your mouth and turn me inside,” she crescendos. For fans, the brief snippet is a welcome treat, but hardly a surprising one, considering that Spears teased “Hold It Against Me” in similar fashion for several weeks. In an interview with MTV News, Spears’ longtime manager himself, Larry Rudolph, indicated that fans were likely to hear another song before the March 29 release of Femme Fatale, the Mississippi native’s first album in three years. Of the song itself, which he would only speak of obliquely on Thursday, Rudolph had high praise. “I don’t think I’ve been this excited about releasing a Britney single in many, many years,” he said. “It’s that good. That’s all I’m gonna say about it at the moment. I haven’t heard a final mix of it, but I should get it in the next day or two. So far, what I’ve heard is just extraordinary. It really is amazing. Her fans will be very happy with it. I’m trying hard to get it out before the album comes out.” What do you think of the new snippet? Will “Inside Out” be another Britney hit? Britney Spears’ Manager Teases Her Next Single

‘It is a monster,’ Larry Rudolph tells MTV News about ‘Hold It Against Me’ follow-up. By Jocelyn Vena Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Photo: Jive With a little more than a month to go before the March 29 release of Britney Spears ‘ Femme Fatale, we spoke to her longtime manager, Larry Rudolph, on the same night her eagerly anticipated “Hold It Against Me” video premiered . Rudolph revealed to MTV News during our “HIAM” live stream on Thursday night that fans will likely hear another new song before the album — executive-produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke — comes out. “We have a second song that I think we’re gonna end up putting out before the album drops,” he teased. “I can’t say with 100 percent certainty, but I think we probably will. But we’re talking about it now and it is a monster. It really is.” Rudolph has been by Brit’s side since the beginning of her career, and he predicted that if fans love “HIAM,” then they’re in for a real treat with the next song. “I don’t think I’ve been this excited about releasing a Britney single in many, many years,” he added. “It’s that good. That’s all I’m gonna say about it at the moment. I haven’t heard a final mix of it, but I should get it in the next day or two. So far, what I’ve heard is just extraordinary. It really is amazing. Her fans will be very happy with it. I’m trying hard to get it out before the album comes out.” Spears teased some upcoming promotional plans for the album last week during a Twitter Q&A . “I’m doing a lot of promo,” she said. “There will be some major announcements in the next few days.” She added, “I’m thinking about the tour right now and I would [love] to visit a lot of places I didn’t get to go to on my last tour.” What did you think of Britney’s “HIAM” video? Eve Hopes To Avoid A ‘Sex And The City’ Moment On Heart Truth Catwalk

Rapper is walking in Heart Truth show during fashion week to raise awareness about heart disease. By Jocelyn Vena Eve Photo: MTV News Eve will be one of many celebrities sauntering down the catwalk for the Heart Truth fashion show, kicking off this season’s New York fashion week. The Heart Truth aims to shed awareness on heart disease, which is a leading killer among women. This year’s show will feature a number of celebrities, including Audrina Patridge, Camila Alves, Cat Deeley, Denise Richards, Dita Von Teese, Julianne Hough, Katrina Bowden and Natasha Bedingfield, to name a few. When MTV News caught up with Eve recently, she opened up about prepping for the show. “It makes me feel like a lady,” she said of her red David Meister dress. “Which is nice! I want to go to a ball in it! It’s beautiful. I definitely will have to have good posture in this dress. It’s a beautiful dress.” Eve is known for her tough, street-smart style, and she said she wanted to show a new side of herself in the show. “From what I know about David’s dresses, they are very elegant. They are very pretty. I did want to wear something that would sway with me on the runway, just because I’m not a model and I’m not trying to do a crazy walk. I guess this will help me walk down the aisle the right way.” Sure, Eve has graced many a red carpet, but she admits that walking down the runway has her shaken. “I’m ridiculously nervous! I just hope it’s over quickly. You know, I want everyone to see the dress and I want to walk. I don’t want to run down the runway, but I’m scared. I am. I’m stressed, but my mom will be there,” she explained, hoping to not trip and fall like Carrie Bradshaw on “Sex and the City.” “No ‘Sex and the City’ moments, even though she did look fabulous and she got up and kept it moving,” she added. “So if it did happen, then we’ll see.” Related Artists Eve

Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Twitter Trend Keeps Rolling

Title of pop star’s March 29 release is #10 longest-running trend on social-networking site. By Nuzhat Naoreen Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale Photo: Jive Britney Spears ‘ upcoming album, Femme Fatale, doesn’t hit shelves until March 29, but it’s already breaking records. The title, which has been trending worldwide on Twitter since Spears first announced it exactly a week ago, just nabbed the #10 spot on a list of the longest running Twitter trends gathered by Twend. It , a site that tracks topics on the social-networking site. “Can’t believe Femme Fatale has been trending 6 days. You guys are my motivation every single day. I love u all!” Spears wrote Tuesday on Twitter , where she has more than 6.8 million followers; she also included a link to the official announcement on her site . The top 10 list uses Twitter’s algorithms to tally the number of times a topic has trended since May 2010, when Twend. It was founded. “It’s culturally important,” said Nick DiFilippo, co-founder of Twend.it, who added that the popularity of entertainment topics on Twitter validates the notion that social-networking is an effective advertising tool that allows artists to reach their fans more directly. “They are finding a way to connect with their fanbase.” The ranking puts Spears in good company: Femme Fatale, the only music-related Twitter trend to break the top 10, joins “Inception,” which is holding strong at #1 after trending for a total of 39 days. “Inception” was one of 2010’s biggest box-office hits , grossing nearly $292 million domestically. Of course, success on Twitter doesn’t always lead to great sales. Other pop culture strongholds on the list include the movies “Last Airbender” at #9, and “Scott Pilgrim,” positioned at #5. Both films disappointed at the box office. Also noticeably absent from the list are Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga, both of whom were among the top five most-tweeted-about people in 2010. So while Bieber and Gaga each have strong followings on Twitter, Twend.it’s DiFilippo doesn’t think Spears is in danger of being pushed out of the top 10. In fact, he predicts Femme Fatale will quickly move up on the list. “The way these trends go is once they hit momentum it gets hard to stop them,” he said. “Something like an album releasing, especially by one of the biggest pop artists around, it’s going to have some momentum, so I do predict it’s going to go a bit higher. I could see it going up to the sixth, fifth place at least.” While the album doesn’t come out until next month, Britney fans have plenty to look forward to: The pop star has been tweeting daily teasers to her upcoming video for “Hold It Against Me,” which premieres on MTV on February 17 at 9:56 p.m. ET. An American in Paris: 9 Lessons From Moviegoing in the City of Light

Despite the fact that I do not speak French, I moved to Paris a little over two months ago to stay with my girlfriend while she earns a Master’s degree in the language. I started taking classes of my own last month, and remain nowhere near mastering it myself. In the meantime, my main refuge for the English language and American culture has been the movie theater. I’ve since learned that even going to the movies here requires some cultural adaptation. And so, in grand Movieline tradition , I present nine lessons learned thus far about seeing movies in the City of Light.
