Update: Murderous Black Surgeon Found Dead Near His Buffalo Home From Self-Inflicted Gunshot To The Dome

The body of Dr. Timothy V. Jorden , the doctor accused of shooting and killing his 33-year-old ex-girlfriend and co-worker at the hospital that employed them both, was discovered Friday. A two-day nationwide manhunt for Jorden, a suspect in the Wednesday morning shooting death of a former girlfriend at Erie County Medical Center, ended Friday when he was found in a wooded ravine about 800 yards from his lakefront home, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Jorden’s body, in blue surgical scrubs and black jacket, was discovered by two female state parole officers in dense underbrush near a ravine along Eighteen Mile Creek. A .357 Magnum was found in Jorden’s right hand, Buffalo Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said. Ballistics tests will determine if it’s the same gun he used to kill Jackie Wisniewski, his ex-girlfriend and the single mother of a young boy, he said. No suicide note was found. “Had the doctor been taken alive, he would have been charged with murder,” Derenda said. “He shot the victim in the head four times and once in the back at point-blank range.” Cellphone records and Erie County Medical Center surveillance video, the commissioner said, show Jorden on the phone talking for 17 minutes to Wisniewski, “luring her down to a basement stairwell where he shot her.” Another doctor heard the gunfire at about 8 a.m. Wednesday and rushed to the stairwell, where he found the 33-year-old woman. At the same time, the 49-year-old Jorden ran up to his office on the third floor of the David K. Miller Building and unloaded shells from the gun before fleeing to his vehicle and heading to his home. Other hospital surveillance video showed the doctor, earlier that morning, arriving with a large bag that police determined contained a shotgun, Derenda said. The shotgun was later recovered from the surgeon’s office. Surveillance video at the doctor’s house on West Arnold Drive beside Lake Erie also played a crucial role in assisting police. Jorden entered his $540,000 home at 8:37 a.m. and 4 minutes later went out a back door, headed south toward a heavily wooded area in the direction of the ravine. “We believed there was a strong possibility he had committed suicide,” Derenda said, but heavy brush, the ravine, cliffs and a low tree canopy all conspired to slow the search. A neighbor on Thursday told police out canvassing that she had heard a single gunshot between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. Wednesday — another sign that the doctor might have killed himself, Derenda said. But without a body to confirm a suicide, Buffalo Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said detectives could not dismiss the possibility that Jorden was still alive and on the run, given the fact that he had withdrawn $36,000 from his bank account in the last two weeks. “We never gave up control of the doctor’s house as we worked on dual scenarios,” Richards said. FBI interviews The FBI conducted interviews nationwide and tracked the doctor’s cellphone and credit card records, while keeping an eye on airline passenger lists, according to Steven Lanser, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI’s Buffalo office. Meanwhile, the rugged terrain was mapped out, and law enforcement workers walked every inch of the area, with state police rappelling cliffs, K-9 dogs sniffing the grounds, and GPS units used to assist in guiding the search, according to State Police Capt. Steven A. Nigrelli. At 10:40 a.m. Friday, the meticulous approach paid off. Parole Officers Beth Hart and Paula Hughes found the doctor’s body. It was only then that authorities could stand down, State Police Maj. Christopher L. Cummings said. “Having an armed and dangerous individual on the loose is what causes police supervisors to have sleepless nights,” Cummings said. At a news conference early Friday evening in Buffalo Police Headquarters, Derenda said the satisfactory conclusion to the search would not have been possible without the cooperation of so many police agencies all willing to assist. Gifts for his brother In answering questions that arose over the last two days, Derenda said: Jorden took $20,000 of the $36,000 bank withdrawal and mailed a cashier’s check to his brother, Terrance, a dentist in Atlanta. On Tuesday evening, Jorden gave a Rolex watch and $5,500 to his close friend Martin L. Motley III, a Buffalo police officer on long-term disability. Surveillance video at the doctor’s home showed Motley arriving there at about 10 a.m. Wednesday. As Motley left the home at 11 a.m., Hamburg police officers took him into custody, Hamburg Police Chief Michael K. Williams said. Motley is not believed to have committed any criminal acts, Derenda said, though he remains suspended without pay for violating the police department sick leave confinement policy. Motley told city homicide detectives and FBI agents that Jorden gave him the watch and cash to pass along to his brother in Atlanta as gifts. The motive for the killing, Derenda said, “appears to be domestic in nature.” Friends say Wisniewski, a secretary in ECMC’s adolescent psychiatric unit, had confided to them that Jorden had been abusive and that he had threatened and stalked her in recent months. They said Wisniewski broke up with Jorden, a former Army Special Forces soldier, because he was cheating on her and she feared for her life. “Even while he was stalking the woman, he was dating other women, and it looks like it all came to a head,” a law enforcement official said, speaking on the condition he not be identified. This is all bad… SMH! That poor lady got cheated on and then stalked and then slaughtered. At least the neighbors can sleep at night now knowing dude is dead and isn’t going to kill anybody else. ChitChatter: Kimmy Cakes Says She’s “Totally Growing Up” After Divorce And Loves Dating Yeezy Cuz He Is An “Older Man”

But wait, isn’t this divorce #2? And wasn’t her first husband an “older man”? Kim Kardashian Tells Oprah She Loves That Kanye West Is Older Than Her We thought Kim said she didn’t want to talk about Kanye , but maybe she just meant she didn’t want to talk to anyone but Oprah about Kanye. Apparently that must be the case because Kim has lots to say about how Kanye makes perfect sense for her older and wiser post-Humphries perspective on life: Oprah Winfrey asks the reality starlet all the tough questions about her controversial love life in Sunday’s “Oprah’s Next Chapter” episode featuring the Kardashian family. After 72 days of marriage, Kardashian, 31, filed for divorce from Kris Humphries, 27, on October 31, 2011 after an over-the-top televised wedding. In March, Kardashian began dating rapper Kanye West, 35, and she tells Winfrey their age difference is a very good thing. “Before, all my boyfriends were younger. I always dated 5 years younger,” she explains in a preview of Winfrey’s interview via RyanSeacrest.com. “Now I just love that I’m with someone that’s a couple years older than me.” Why does she prefer an older man now? Kardashian says she’s “totally growing up” after her divorce and surrounds herself with friends who are older and wiser. “I feel like I’ve had an epiphany over the past year from what I’ve been through and I am that changed person just from my own experiences.” Don’t you just love when Kimmy Cakes has epiphanies? They’re like, sooooooo profound. Riiiiiiiight? Source FameFlynetPictures

Madonna’s Top NSFW Moments

Flashing her nipple and bum are pretty tame compared to some of Madonna’s most controversial acts. By Gil Kaufman Britney Spears and Madonna Photo: When you build your career on constant shock-and-aw-nah-she-didn’t stunts, when it comes to something as mundane as flashing some skin, well, you can understand if we’re not freaking out. But, even though she’s burned crosses, hitchhiked nude, simulated more sex on stage than most of us will ever have in real life and pissed off the Vatican for decades, people could not get enough of Madonna’s latest attempts at outrage over the past week. After first exposing her nipple
during a show in Istanbul, the 53-year-old pop icon dropped trou and gave fans in Rome a shot of her taught, toned full moon
, leaving some to wonder: what’s next? It was just the latest in a career-long series of outrageous moments that have helped Madonna grab headlines and eyeballs for more than three decades. Here’s a look at 5 of Madonna’s most controversial career escapades. Molly folly : At March’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami Madonna drew the ire of EDM star Deadmau5
when she asked the crowd if they had “seen Molly?” The seeming wink-wink nod to the drug ecstasy angered Deadmau5, who slammed the singer for seemingly promoting drug use. Cross to bear : Though now a follower of the Jewish mystical sect of Kabbalah, Madonna was raised Catholic and has spent her career exorcising her religious demons. On her 2006 Confessions tour she pissed off the Vatican when she spent time hanging from a mirror cross and wearing a crown of thorns during “Live to Tell.” Catholics were none too happy in 1989, either, when she sported stigmata and danced amid burning crosses in her “Like a Prayer” video. Britney tonsil hockey : Just when you thought she had no outrage left in the tank, Madonna set tongues wagging once again in 2003 when she gave Britney Spears a long, tongue-filled open mouth kiss. F-bombs away! : Way before there were viral videos, Madge created an overnight must-see when she sat down with talk show host David Letterman, lit up a stogie and proceeded to drop the f-bomb more than a dozen times to the usually unflappable Letterman’s surprise. Sex manual : She launched herself into international stardom in 1984 by rolling around on the MTV VMA stage in a wedding dress while singing “Live a Virgin,” filmed the not-safe-for-TV “Justify My Love” clip, simulated onstage masturbation on her 1990 Blonde Ambition tour. But Madonna was just getting started and somehow caused jaws to drop even further in 1992 when she released the “Sex” book. The three-million-plus-selling softcore pornographic book featured copious amounts of S&M play, tons of nudity and kinky shots of the singer with everyone from rappers Big Daddy Kane and Vanilla Ice to model Naomi Campbell and gay porn star Joey Stefano. ‘Spider-Man’ Villains: Who Are Andrew Garfield’s Favorites?

The lifelong Spidey fan picks which of the hero’s foes he favors. By Josh Wigler, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Andrew Garfield in “The Amazing Spider-Man” Photo: Marvel / Columbia Pictures Spider-Man does not have it easy. Web-slinging, wall-crawling and spider-sense aside, all of the gifts in Peter Parker’s utility belt have to come together perfectly if he’s ever to stand a chance against his adversaries … and believe us, he has many of them. In his film career alone, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man has gone web to who-knows-what against the likes of Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Sandman and Venom. “The Amazing Spider-Man” adds another baddie to that storied list: the Lizard, the reptilian freak of science played by actor Rhys Ifans in the Marc Webb-directed reboot. Though Ifans and others involved with “Spider-Man” would caution you not to label Lizard as a villain — in fairness, he’s born from a good place, as his human alter-ego Doctor Curt Connor becomes the scaly menace only after attempting a revolutionary breakthrough in regenerative medicine — there’s no doubt that the clawed creature has it out for the kid swinging around Manhattan in red and blue tights. But whom will Spider-Man go up against when the inevitable “Amazing” sequel flies into theaters in 2014? Speaking with MTV News, star Andrew Garfield kept his lips sealed as far as revealing any information, but the lifelong Spidey fan was considerably more forthcoming when it came time to name his favorites of the hero’s sinister enemies. “I love all of them. I like Elektro, he’s one of the ones I’m very into,” said the actor. “I really like the [Green] Goblin, obviously, and I love Doc Ock. I think I like Doc Ock especially because of what Alfred Molina did [with the character in ‘Spider-Man 2’]. I don’t know; he made that so memorable and kind of profound, somehow.” One Spider-Man villain that Garfield has a harder time swallowing is Kraven the Hunter, the big game hunter who comes after the arachnid-friendly hero for sport. “Oh man. Kraven, that campy lion hunter,” he laughed when the villain was brought up, before finally confessing, “I like Kraven. I like Kraven a lot.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Amazing Spider-Man.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com . Usher Teases ‘Incredible,’ ‘Crazy’ Collabo With David Guetta And Ludacris

Trio recorded track for Ludacris’ Ludaversal album, which drops in September. By Christina Garibaldi Usher Photo: MTV News Usher was out to make a statement with his latest album, and he seems to have achieved that. On his seventh studio effort, Looking 4 Myself , the R&B star broadened his horizons, taking a chance on some new producers, which resulted in a unique — what he calls “revolutionary pop” — sound. Teaming up with DJ/producers Swedish House Mafia and Salaam Remi, Usher enriched his genre-breaking sound on this album, especially with the artistic and sultry first single, “Climax,” produced by Diplo. “I never would have imagined that me and Diplo would have created as much incredible music as we did,” Usher recently told MTV News. “However, I felt like he could get it, and just … the nights of going through the ideas and him being very humble in his approach. To be as successful as he is musically … he’s probably one of the most humble people that I’ve ever met and will sit there — I’m talking until 6 o’clock in the morning — off a melody that we’ve been working on all day, no words, just melody, and still be patient and still come back with a very positive vibe the next day.” Usher also went back to producers he has worked with in the past including will.i.am , Rico Love and Max Martin . And with the massive success of last year’s “Without You,” many were hoping that David Guetta would collaborate on Looking 4 Myself. Well, fear not, fans, as Usher and Guetta have gone back into the studio together for what Usher promises will be another hit record. “Well, there is another crazy record, that he, I and Luda [Ludacris] worked on,” Usher said. “I can’t tell you too much about it. I’ll tell you as much as he has: It’s incredible, it’s crazy.” When we caught up with Ludacris recently at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival , he revealed that this new track will actually be featured on his upcoming album, Ludaversal , which drops in September. “That is definitely the track, absolutely,” Ludacris said. “I can’t tell you anything else, but that’s it. That’s all you need to know for now.” Related Videos MTV News Extended Play: Usher

Mac Miller, Pharrell Making A ‘Political Statement’ On Pink Slime?

‘That sounds tight. What the f— is ‘pink slime’?,’ Miller said when Pharrell suggested the name for his EP. By Nadeska Alexis, with reporting by Rya Backer Mac Miller Photo: MTV News During Mac Miller ‘s recent visit to “RapFix Live,” he dropped some hints about his upcoming EP Pink Slime. But now the cat’s out of the bag as it’s been revealed that Pharrell will co-pilot the project. MTV News caught up with Miller at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee, where he chatted about recording with Skateboard P and dreaming up the EP’s title. The Pittsburgh rapper released the first Pink Slime single, “Onaroll,” on June 5 and performed it for the first time at Bonnaroo just a few days later. Before hitting the stage, he opened up about the collaborative project, admitting that he was nervous to record with Pharrell at first. “Pharrell is a very creative person with everything he does,” Mac said, detailing one of their recording sessions. “We did this one record called ‘Dreams,’ and he was like, ‘I’ma rap on this.’ So he goes outside for 20 minutes and he just comes back, gets in the booth and raps. I don’t know what he did in those 20 minutes, but he just went out and came back in with no paper, no anything, and just had a verse ready.” As far as the name of the project, that was Pharrell’s brainchild as well. “It was his idea. I was at a loss for names,” Mac admits. “I was on tour and I was talking to him and he’s like, ‘I got the name — it’s Pink Slime. ‘ I was like, ‘That sounds tight. What the f— is “pink slime”?’ He’s like, ‘Pink slime is the fake meat they use at McDonald’s,’ and I was like, ‘Cool, man.’ ” From there, the Blue Slide Park rapper got a little bit silly about the deeper meaning in the title. “The meaning is that there is so much filth and ammonia in the world and we’re just speaking on how we need to clean up the environment,” he joked. “The message is … we pay for a Big Mac, maybe give me some good beef in there. It’s really a political statement we’re making.” There’s no confirmed release date for Pink Slime just yet. Related Artists Mac Miller Pharrell Williams

SIFF: William Friedkin on Killer Joe, His Bond Offer, The MPAA, and Citizen Kane

Movieline caught up with the charismatic William Friedkin last weekend at the Seattle Film Festival, where the Exorcist / French Connection director received a Lifetime Achievement award and screened his brutal Southern-fried potboiler Killer Joe . Before he held court keeping a packed audience rapt with tales from his nearly five-decade career in film (highlights below), Friedkin stopped to discuss two of the topics he’s wrestling with these days: His legal battle to win back the rights to his 1977 pic Sorcerer , and the absurdity of the MPAA, which anointed Killer Joe with an NC-17 rating. Friedkin is active on Twitter , which has allowed film fans unprecedented access to the Oscar-winner and given him the chance to discuss his battle for the rights to Sorcerer , his Roy Scheider-starring remake of The Wages of Fear . “I’m suing Universal and Paramount to get control of Sorcerer ,” he explained to Movieline. “It evidently means a lot to people, and I want people to be able to see it.” As with many older films, rights to Sorcerer lie out of the filmmaker’s hands – and studios, according to Friedkin, are allowing precious 35mm prints to deteriorate right under their own noses. “What’s happened to the legacy of almost all the studios is that the people who run them now don’t care,” he said. “They don’t give a damn. I know the guy from Lincoln Center, he tried to get a print of Blade Runner and Warner Bros. told him they didn’t know who owned it.” Even in the care of studios, library titles threaten to become damaged beyond repair. Friedkin doesn’t want what happened to another ‘70s classic to happen to his film. “Paramount put out a beautiful Blu-ray of The Godfather almost two years ago,” he said. “They went to get it out of their vaults and it had deteriorated, and they had to spend over a million dollars to restore it. It’s probably the gem of their library, and they just let it go. So they don’t care about the legacy of the work that they do. I hope I win my lawsuit, and I’m going to expose what they’re doing nevertheless.” As for his current film, Killer Joe – an assuredly brutal film whose tagline boasts “a totally twisted deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story” – Friedkin has battled an old adversary: The ratings board. “The ratings board, to me, is a joke,” he said. “I never thought we’d get an NC-17, but I don’t mind the fact that we did. I had a film called Cruising that I took back there 50 times, 5-0, before they gave it an R.” Still, Friedkin will gladly accept his NC-17. “If we had done that with Killer Joe , it wouldn’t be here tonight; it would be playing in a shorts festival on YouTube.” NEXT: enjoy a Movieline 9 of highlights, anecdotes, and assorted moments from Friedkin’s appareance at SIFF ’12.
