Summit Entertainment addresses the leaks in a statement on Facebook. By Jocelyn Vena Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit Entertainment When very steamy photos of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) on their honeymoon hit the Web, they were pretty much immediately scrubbed from the internet. The “Breaking Dawn” production photos, along with ones in which Bella appeared to have been through some sort of vampire transformation (her eyes were amber-colored) had fans drooling for more and left the studio fuming mad. “As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ as a work in progress have leaked on the Internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage,” reads a Facebook message from Summit Entertainment. “The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.” The letter, signed by author Stephenie Meyer, director Bill Condon, producer Wyck Godfrey and Summit Entertainment, asks that the photos no longer be shared online. “Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.” Summit released a photo of Bella clutching feathers in bed last November, and when a pic of Edward and Bella in bed together hit the Net, fans immediately went bananas. The whole ordeal made Pattinson chuckle . “It’s always awkward, in a way, doing it with anybody,” he admitted to MTV News about having to shoot sex scenes. “But at the same time … it really depends on how it’s staged and stuff. It’s like doing Twister.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Boobalicious blonde Barbara Crampton , star of 80’s horror flicks great ( Re-Animator , 1985) and not so great ( Chopping Mall , 1986), is returning to the horror game with You’re Next , which started principal photography in Missouri this week. It’s not yet clear what part she’ll be playing in the film, directed by Adam Wingard , but production company Snoot Entertainment promises “a fresh spin” on the typically brutal and intense home invasion subgenre (think Funny Games or High Tension ): ” In ‘You’re Next’ the Davison family comes under attack from a terrifying group of sadistic murderers during a family reunion getaway. Barricaded in their secluded vacation home, they fight off a barrage of axes, crossbows and machetes from both inside and outside the house. However, the masked killers didn’t count on Erin (Vinson), the young girlfriend of the eldest Davison son whose mysterious past has made her very difficult to kill. ” Barbara has been working mostly in soap operas for the past decade, so fright fans who have been missing her lovely face (and awesome anatomy)- like Mr. Skin- are looking forward to her return to scream queen form. But will she bare those fabulous funbags, now aged to perfection like a fine wine? It would be downright sadistic not to!
Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (DVD/Blu-ray Combo) Justin Bieber (Actor) , John Chu (Director) | Format: Blu-ray 864% Sales Rank in Movies & TV: 68 (was 656 yesterday) (8) Buy new: $27.99 (Visit the Movers & Shakers in Movies & TV list for authoritative information on this product’s current rank.) Review & Description Justin Bieber: Never Say Never is the inspiring, entertaining and intimate look at the life and meteoric rise of pop phenomenon Justin Bieber. From small town boy to global super-star, Never Say Never follows Justin Bieber’s journey from his early years, to his rise from break-out internet sensation to global super-star, culminating with a sold-out show at the famed Madison Square Garden. More than just a concert, Never Say Never is a captivating, cinematic event featuring all-star musical talent including, Usher, Jaden Smith, Ludacris, and more! Never underestimate the power of perseverance, social media, good hair, and a winning smile. Small town boy Justin Bieber is a young musician (16 years old at the time of this film’s release) who started out goofing around on the drums at home as a young child and posting videos on You Tube as a preteen. With the help of producer Scooter Braun, he has rocketed to the status of pop phenomenon, performing for a sold-out house at the coveted Madison Square Garden in less than two years. Part documentary, part concert video, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never combines archival home videos with live concert footage; interviews with everyone from Justin’s young single mother and his grandparents to his vocal coach “Mama Jan” Smith, pop icon and actor Usher, and producer Braun; and way too much footage of squealing, overwrought preteen female fans (the latter will likely cause one’s eyes to spontaneously roll back in one’s head and trigger a gag reflex unless one happens to be a 10- to 12-year-old girl). Showcased are Bieber’s early visits to every radio station imaginable; his life backstage, on the road, and during a rare visit with his friends back home; the determination of those around him to keep his life as normal as possible; and lots of up-close footage of his concerts. Throughout the 10 days preceding his Garden debut, guest artists like Miley Cyrus, Usher, Jaden Smith, and Boyz II Men join Bieber onstage for collaborative performances of songs including “Overboard,” “Somebody to Love,” “Never Say Never,” and “U Smile.” Bieber also deals with the stress and pain of a throat infection that causes him to cancel his first show ever and threatens to prevent him from honoring his performance date at the Garden. Finally, the day of the Madison Square Garden performance arrives and viewers are treated to a great sampling of Bieber’s powerful performance. The film does a good job of chronicling Bieber’s rise to stardom, but let’s face it, his career has spanned less than two years as of this film, so there’s not really all that much to say in a movie that lasts almost two hours. But even if you’re not a rabid Justin Bieber fan, you have to admit the kid has talent and you’ve got to respect his incredible journey. ‘There are a million ideas that come out of it,’ actor tells MTV News. By Kara Warner Jake Gyllenhaal Photo: MTV News In addition to the thrill ride and action-oriented aspects the “Source Code” trailers and TV spots are selling — as well as the film’s very capable leading man, Jake Gyllenhaal — the plot’s underlying subject matter leaves a lot of room for discussion and debate. When MTV News caught up with Gyllenhaal recently during the film’s press day, we asked him how the idea of occupying someone else’s mind for eight minutes appeals to both his sci-fi and philosophical interests. “First, I was just fascinated with the idea, the concept of what the Source Code was because it felt like the center of the movie is this computer program,” Gyllenhaal explained. “So I thought, ‘Well, does this hold water?’ And then I thought, ‘It does because it’s a computer program that allows somebody to go into the body of another person for the last eight minutes of their life.’ Had it been a computer program that allows somebody to go into somebody else’s body, just anybody’s body, it wouldn’t be interesting, but this plays on the usurping of the electromagnetic impulses in the brain right before somebody dies.” Gyllenhaal went on to say that the idea of going back into a catastrophe and figuring out how it happened was particularly interesting, and he hopes it leaves audiences wanting to explore their own analysis as well. “It opened up a world of possibilities, philosophically, for me,” he revealed. “And psychologically, what effect does this have on the human brain, the person experiencing it, but at the same time, what effect could it have on history and what could it be used for? It was just fascinating: There are a million ideas that come out of it.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Source Code.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . The jury’s still out on whether the upcoming stoner comedy/medieval adventure Your Highness is actually funny, but the promotional wizards behind the film are really pushing the nudity, so we’re willing to give it the benefit of the doubt. Hot on the heels of the spanktastic thong shots from Natalie Portman /her body double, we have these new stills of the ferociously feral topless wood nymphs who catch our heroes in a literal “booby trap.” That doesn’t sound so bad to Mr. Skin! More pics after the jump!
Darren Aronofsky responds to comments by Portman’s body double that only 5 percent of the dancing in the film was actually performed by Portman. Natalie Portman has been accused of contributing to a cover-up involving her participating in Black Swan . Sarah Lane, the classically-trained dancer who served as Portman’s double in this Oscar-winning film, says she appeared in 95 percent of the full body shots throughout the movie, creating an uproar that director Darren Aronofsky is out to quell. In a statement he released to Fox Searchlight, Aronofsky comes to his star’s specific defense, writing: “Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that’s 80% Natalie Portman… Even so, if we were judging by time, over 90% would be Natalie Portman.” In the end, the director is seeking to put an end to any controversy, concluding: “Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance.”
The 1983 film Scarface will forever have a place in the hearts of rappers who have incorporated dialogue and imagery from the movie into their projects for years. But will an upcoming 30th anniversary Blu-Ray release of the film have a place in their homes? Celebrating Black Marriage Day 2011 Universal Studios Home Entertainment certainly hopes so, as they are releasing a hefty limited edition of the movie that will feature a documentary on the film’s impact on culture, a scorecard feature that helps you keep track of how many times the F-word is said as well as how many bullets whizz by on the screen, a digital copy of the film, a copy of the original 1932 black-and-white Scarface film, a new edition of the film, and a hand-painted humidor. Sounds cool, right? The upcoming release, limited to 1,000 copies, will retail for $999.99 when it is released on September 6th.
