Original post:

I know there has been a lot of set photos and videos coming out of the Spider-Man set, but this is one worth watching. It features Spider-Man swinging through traffic on wires. It’s actually kind of cool to see an actual human being flying through the air, as opposed to a computer generated superhero. Can’t wait to see what this looks like in the film. Justin Bieber: Never Say Never Clip #1

Hello! Never Say Never , an upcoming  3-D documentary is centering on the teenage star singer Justin Bieber . Besides,  the clip contains an interview with the YouTube Wunderkind manager  Scott “Scooter” Braun . It is scheduled for release on February 11, 2011. The film follows performances from his 2010 “My World Tour.” It also includes scenes of Bieber as a young child, taken from home videos. The news for the film came through July 2010. Production began in summer 2010, up to his concert at Madison Square Garden. The film, whose name was not published until October 2010, was directed by Jon Chu . Chu says the film is a documentary, without any “acted-out scenes.” The MPAA gave the film a G rating, the first time to Paramount after Charlotte’s Web (2006) and the first G-rated film for MTV Films and Insurge Pictures ever since. At least was our experience viewing an early screening of Justin Bieber’s movie ” Never Say Never” at Paramount studios, just down the road from the “Glee” set, where two of Bieber’s own hits — “Baby” and “Somebody to Love” — were in axial motion, as the cast shot the show’s upcoming Valentine’s Day episode. It was a match coincidence bearing in mind how much heart the film come out of every turn – from Bieber’s earliest performances behind the drum kit at a neighbor’s house, to his time in Atlanta, where he wowed Usher and Island Def Jam head L.A. Reid, to middle school showcases, state fairs, and finally, the arena stage. One thing is for sure: it’s how musical this 16-year-old truly is and you get to see everything — from behind-the-scenes to above the stage, the dressing room where Bieber dresses, to the tour bus to his hometown, in Stratford, Ontario. The timing for “Never Say Never” couldn’t be better. On February 6, Bieber will appear in a Best Buy ad that airs during the Super Bowl. Two days after the movie’s release, Bieber will be at the Grammy Awards, where he’s nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal album. Check the clip and share your comments. James Bond Composer John Barry Dies at Age 77

Oscar-Winning Composer John Barry has died of a heart attack at age 77. He was perhaps best known for his arrangement of Monty Norman’s James Bond theme, which led to him scoring 11 Bond films including Goldfinger and Diamonds are Forever . But Barry was a versatile and talented composer beyond the Bond films. His memorable scores ranged from quirky jazz ( The Knack…and How to Get It ) to impressive regional work ( Midnight Cowboy , Walkabout ) to even sweat-drenched, neo-noir saxophone ( Body Heat ). For further testament to his talent, one needs only to look to his music for a mostly-forgotten 1965 film that has since been used in over half a dozen movies, from CGI -animated kid’s fare to a film by the Coen Brothers.

Gael García Bernal Gets a Conscience in the Even the Rain Trailer

The trailer for the Spanish submission to the Oscars Even the Rain brings up an interesting dilemma. In theory, it’s great to make films with a social conscience that inform a wider audience about historical and global injustice, but what happens when you have to bow to exploitation just to get the film made? In this film, Gael García Bernal plays a director making a film about Christopher Columbus’ imperialism who realizes he may need to turn a blind eye to modern day exploitation in order to complete the movie. Tense revolutionary violence and pensive hillside contemplation ensue.

Why Do The SAG Awards Have No Love For Rooney Mara And The Other Ladies Of The Social Network?

It is time once again for yet another Hollywood awards show, this time the Screen Actors Guild Awards , where actors recognize the accomplishments of fellow actors. Thus, whereas the Academy Awards hand out a prize for Best Picture, the SAG Awards bestow upon one film’s ensemble an Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture prize. In honoring nominee The Social Network however, the guild neglected to credit any of the female performers in the cast — including standout Rooney Mara .

If The King’s Speech Gets Re-Edited To A PG-13, It Doesn’t Deserve The Oscar

The King’s Speech is riding high on guild love after its surprise win for Best Picture at the PGA Awards and Best Director for Tom Hooper at the DGA Awards; it may yet complete the trifecta tonight at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. At this point, it has to be considered the new odds-on favorite for Best Picture at this year’s Academy Awards. But if Harvey Weinstein follows through on his plan to re-cut the film for a more profitable rating, then, frankly, it doesn’t deserve a damned thing.

Thriller makes $5.3 million. By Mawuse Ziegbe Anthony Hopkins and Marta Gastini in “The Rite” Photo: Warner Bros. It appears that audiences are still down to get freaked out by a creepy performance from Anthony Hopkins. The Oscar-winning actor’s latest skin-crawling, onscreen turn, “The Rite,” topped the Friday box office. The film, which is based on real-life events and stars Hopkins as an unconventional exorcist, debuted with $5.3 million. When MTV News sat down with Sir Hopkins recently, the veteran star admitted he has a gift for freaking out fans. “I know how to do those parts,” he said. “Not because I’m scary, but because I know how to scare people. … It’s a question of being quiet and not overplaying it,” he explained. “You let the script and the audiences do the work for you. You don’t have to play evil.” Behind “The Rite” is last week’s box-office winner, “No Strings Attached. Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman’s portrayal of “sex friends” who shrug off the possibility of a relationship in favor of casual lovin,’ scored $4.3 million. Friday’s earnings kick the film’s total haul to just over $30 million. Jason Statham’s latest firepower-heavy flick ,”The Mechanic,” came in third place. The tale of an assassin looking to avenge the killing of his mentor with the help of his son (Ben Foster), debuted with $3.6 million. “The Green Hornet” took the fourth-place spot at the Friday box office. Moviegoers coughed up $2.9 million to catch Seth Rogen as the classic masked superhero duke it out with Los Angeles-area baddies. The figure kicks the film’s total estimated tally to $70 million. “The King’s Speech,” the dramatization of the UK’s King George VI’s struggle to overcome his stammer with the help of an eccentric speech therapist, rounded out the top five. The film, which recently picked up 12 Academy Award nominations, scored $2.8 million. The movie’s total estimated haul now stands at around $63 million. Justin Bieber 3D film snares first positive review

TrendPK.com : Weeks before Justin Bieber’s 3D motion picture experience, “Never Say Never,” is due to open in theaters, the film got its first vote of confidence. “They’ll laugh, they’ll cry, they’ll squeal, they’ll smile, and after some 100 minutes of heart-racing, in-your-face 3-D footage, even the most casual of teen fans and the stodgiest of parents will exit the movie theater a complete Justin Bieber convert,” Shirley Halperin writes in The Hollywood Reporter following a screening on the Paramount lot. The timing of the film’s release – Feb. 11 – coincides with several high-profile Bieber cameos. He’ll appear alongside Ozzy Osbourne in a Super Bowl commercial on Sunday, Feb. 6. And the film opens the same week that Bieber appears at the Grammys and has his songs showcased on “Glee.” Can world domination be far behind? Actually, Bieber isn’t preaching a message of domination. Rather, he’s spreading a gospel of love, according to THR. Tthey have a greater purpose: spreading love, be it through a sea of hand-shaped hearts, irresistible pop ditties like ‘Smile,’ ‘Eenie Meenie,’ and ‘Baby,’ or the swoon-worthy ‘One Less Lonely Girl,’” Halperin writes. “The beauty of 3-D is that anyone can feel like they’re the girl plucked from the crowd and invited to watch the show from the front row (team Bieber gifts several fans at every tour stop), but the effects go way beyond just having a good seat, you get to see everything — from behind-the-scenes to above the stage, the dressing room where Bieber, you know, dresses, to the tour bus to his hometown, in Stratford, Ontario, where life as its most famous resident couldn’t get more surreal.” Still, the movie might not be for everyone, Halperin warns. “Bring your earplugs, parents, and expect the shriek volume to hit the red zone with every point of Bieber’s finger — and there are many.” “Never” hits theaters on Feb. 11.

SAG Awards Seating Chart: Where ‘Glee’ Sits Next To ‘True Grit’

For Sunday’s awards show, producer explains science behind celebrity seating. By Kelly Marino SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell Photo: MTV News LOS ANGELES — The Screen Actors Guild Awards are coming up on Sunday, and preparations are already well under way at the Shrine Auditorium. The stage is coming together, the list of presenters is close to being finalized and, most importantly, the seating arrangements are being mapped out. “It depends on the size of the cast,” SAG Awards producer Kathy Connell explained when MTV News asked how the seating chart is determined. “It also depends on if they were here the year before. If the TV cast was down front, we are probably going to put them further back this year. We also try to be democratic between film and TV.” The ceremony will take place in an intimate dinner setting where both film and TV actors will be seated next to their peers. Throughout the show, the celebrities can nosh on food provided by Lucques Catering and sip on Dry Creek wine and Taittinger Champagne while they celebrate one another’s work. The Guild seats the film casts next to the TV casts in order to allow everyone to visit and mingle in between acts. For example, the first few tables located in the front of the venue have place cards for the cast of “True Grit” seated next to the cast of “Glee.” Moving more toward the center of the room reveals the actors of “The Kids Are All Right” seated next to the guys from “30 Rock.” And a quick look around the rest of the room shows the ensemble from “The Closer” seated next to “Modern Family,” who are across from the cast of “The Fighter” and “Hot in Cleveland.” “Actors are actors. They don’t care that they are on TV. In fact, you know, film actors are very, very fond of watching actors on TV and vice versa,” Connell said. The 17th annual SAG Awards will air live on TNT and TBS this Sunday at 8p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
