Source: Lia Toby/WENN.com / WENN They should have just cast Idris Elba . But they dogged him and now the whole production seems to be going through all types of problems. According to The Sun , model, actress, singer and all around icon Grace Jones walked off the set of the latest James Bond film because she didn’t believe she had enough lines. Naturally, the studio is not happy about it. They’re claiming that Jones’ refusal to perform resulted in time and money being wasted. Text “RICKEY” to 71007 to join the Rickey Smiley Morning Show mobile club for exclusive news.  ( Terms and conditions ). A source said, “Grace’s 007 homecoming was meant to be a real crowd-pleasing moment. Bosses were really excited about landing her. Of course, she comes with a reputation, so they organised premium accommodation and rolled out the red carpet on set to make her feel welcome. But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight. She was out of there quicker than it takes to rustle up a martini.” Jones played May Day, the villain in the 1985 Bond installment A View to A Kill . But the reunion wasn’t as sweet as she expected and so she dipped. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Close Thank you for subscribing! Earlier this month, there were huge explosions on set. And before that filming was delayed because the star, Daniel Craig, injured his ankle, causing filming to be postponed. Even before they started filming, Danny Boyle, the man set to direct the film, quit over a script dispute last year. The director who took Boyle’s place, caused all types of confusion when he skipped filming to play video games. With all the setbacks, Bond 25 is set to be released on April 3 next year. License To Dip: Grace Jones Reportedly Leaves James Bond Set Because She Didn’t Have Enough Lines

Source: Mark Metcalfe / Getty Grace Jones Reportedly Quits ‘Bond 25’ Because Her Role Wasn’t Big Enough Ms. Grace Jones will not be relegated to the background. According to sources from The Sun , the iconic performer walked off the set of the new James Bond movie, Bond 25 , because she didn’t have enough lines. Jones already has Bond experience thanks to her role as the villain May Day in 1985’s A View To A Kill.  The 70-year-old diva was expected to make an epic comeback in the new Bond 25 movie. However, sources say she was not satisfied with her role in the film. It’s a shame too, considering the crew spent loads of money making sure her stay was comfortable. According to sources, the production secured a luxury residence for Ms. Jones to stay in near Pinewood Studios in Buckingshamshire. “Of course, she comes with a reputation, so they organized premium accommodation and rolled out the red carpet on set to make her feel welcome,” one source said. “But it turns out Grace was expecting to play a bigger role in the movie and took her brief cameo as a slight. She was out of there quicker than it takes to rustle up a martini.” Damn. Grace’s cameo was first rumored back in April and it was expected to involve a scene with Daniel Craig . Ever since the movie started production, things have been pretty hectic. The original director of the movie, Danny Boyle , quit in August 2018 over the direction of the script. Then, earlier this month, outrage erupted on set after Boyle’s replacement, Cary Fukunaga , skipped filming to play on his Playstation, according to sources. This is a rumor he eventually denied , however. Despite all the chaos, Bond 35 is still scheduled to hit theaters on April 3 of next year.

Tessa Thompson Cheering On Brie Larson At The MTV Movie Awards Is Just Plain Adorable

See the original post here:

Source: Emma McIntyre/VMN19 / Getty It Looks Like Tessa Thompson Loved Brie Larson’s Speech As Much As The Rest Of Us The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards took place on Monday evening, sparking some commentary, memes, and a lot of opinions about how the night went down. One of the moments that has people talking is Brie Larson’s much-deserved victory, ta king home the award for “Best Fight” for her work in Captain Marvel . It was a tough category to win, beating out some serious contenders like her fellow Marvel pals Chris Evans and Josh Brolin for their fight in Avengers: End Game , along with Maisie Williams for her fight against the White Walkers in Game of Thrones . Out of all the contenders, Brie took home the big prize for her incredible show of strength throughout Marvel’s first female-led film–and what’s even more amazing than her accomplishment alone is how she chose to accept the award. The actress ended up bringing her Captain Marvel stunt doubles, Joanna Bennett and Renae Moneymaker , on stage to accept the award. She introduced both ladies, saying, “I could not have made this film without them. They are really the baseline of who she is. They are the living embodiment of Captain Marvel .” After that, the star stepped aside to give the other women their shine, letting them give their own respective speeches about what it was like to work on this film together. YES! Girl Power!! @brielarson #MTVAwards pic.twitter.com/QHBKbpNJe0 — MTV (@MTV) June 18, 2019 Joanna and Renae spoke on their experiences in the industry and how much of an honor it was to work on a film like captain Marvel, bringing strong female characters to the forefront. They ended their acceptance speech thanking Brie for acknowledging their role in the film and the work of stunt doubles in general, which is often overlooked. Fans all over the world have been praising Larson since last night for her generosity in making sure her stunt doubles get their shine, making everyone even more in love with the star. “Brie Larson lied about doing all of her stunts” She did all the stunts she was ALLOWED to do. ANYWAY, here’s her PROFESSIONAL stunt doubles and she brought them with her after winning the Best Fight award. Your faves could never. pic.twitter.com/YKfJry0RcX — ︽✵︽

I Am Mother: Hilary Swank & Clara Rugaard Talk Perfect Humans, Childhood Lies & More

Continued here:

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Hilary Swank on the big (or small) screen, but the Academy Award winner is back, and has taken her talents to Netflix. ‘I Am Mother’ is an intense thriller science fiction flick starring Ms. Swank, Clara Rugaard and Rose Byrne — who voices the character of Robot Mother. The movie tells the story of female robot in a bunker raising a teenager while giving the impression that the world above is not fit for human life. When a gunshot-wounded woman (played by Swank) arrives at the bunker door, she threatens that idea, calling into question everything the girl was told about the outside world. The girl then start to explore the robot’s nature and discovers the truth of Mother’s greater mission. We caught up with Hilary and Clara as they dished on all things digital, dark and deceptive. When asked about one thing they were taught as children that turned out to be a lie, Clara joked: “Well, the toothfairy! Santa Clause?”  Hilary gave a more in depth response, adding: “I think both of our families are very liberal and open-minded, so they didn’t tell us…” Clara: “…Lies to make us unravel ourselves. But I think parents do things to protect their children.” Hilary: “I think both our parents are like ‘We’re all one people’, ‘Treat people how you want to be treated. That sort of thing” Have you checked out ‘I Am Mother’ yet? Catch the full movie on Netflix, and check out what else the cast of the film had to say in the video above.
