To Sawyer, Not Raising Tax Rates Means a ‘Tax Cut’ as She Frames Debate Through Liberal Prism

If your income tax rate stays the same next year, would you consider that a “tax cut”? ABC anchor Diane Sawyer sure seems to think so. Adopting the Obama/Democratic spin as fact, that maintaining the same income tax rates in place since 2003 constitutes a “tax cut,” even though taxpayers would pay the same amount on the same income, she led Wednesday’s ABC World News: It will be the big battle to the finish line in November, and this is the question: How big a tax cut will you get next year? In her very text sentence, however, she incongruently, but accurately, recognized Obama’s wish to return rates for some to their pre-2003 level would constitute a hike: “And should taxes increase on the wealthiest Americans?” The subsequent story dealt only with Obama v Republicans on income tax rates for 2011, and a FICA tax cut is off the political table, so Sawyer must have been talking about the income tax, not any FICA rate change. Sawyer’s no rate change equals a tax cut thinking matches the reasoning from liberals who fret over the “cost” and “paying for” continuing the rates set in 2003, as if all the money in the economy is the government’s, and so not letting the Bush tax cut rates expire – maintaining the status quo – means a “tax cut.” Sawyer opened the Wednesday, September 8 World News: Good evening. It will be the big battle to the finish line in November, and this is the question: How big a tax cut will you get next year? And should taxes increase on the wealthiest Americans? We have an exclusive interview with the President tonight. He walked into the lion’s den today, challenging Republicans on taxes and the economy. The Republicans, quick to fire back. That interview with President Obama amounted to an Obama soundbite from an interview conducted by George Stephanopoulos which will run on Thursday’s Good Morning America.

Boyce Avenue every breath lyrics

It sounds like this is nothing new and that it hasn#39;t been for awhile You wake up on the other side and you strain to force a smile The fairytale inside your head has become your new best friend But I can assure you, that I#39;ll be there #39;fore the story ends #39;Cause when I needed a place to hang my heart You were there to wear it from the start And with every breath I need, you#39;ll be the only light I see I#39;ll meet you till the finish line our lifetime has barely started The pi

Calvin Borel Makes Kentucky Derby History

Calvin Borel grabbed the rail and didn’t let go Saturday, sloshing through the slop on another flawless ride to win his third Kentucky Derby in four years – a record for the history of the race. No man has ever won the race three times in a span of four years. The most wide-open Derby in years ended with a sure thing — Borel crossing the finish line and punching the air with this right fist, raising it toward the gray sky. The jockey’s magic touch gave trainer Todd Pletcher his first Derby victory after 24 failures. His ride nearly duplicated the one he turned in last year aboard 50-1 shot Mine That Bird, except he and Super Saver went off at lower odds and were never in last place. Borel was confident enough in his colt and his knowledge of his home track to take him off the lead in the early going of the 1 1/4-mile race at Churchill Downs. In all but one of his six previous races, Super Saver had never been farther back than second in the early stages. Borel knew that strategy wouldn’t work in a 20-horse Derby field on a tiring, sloppy track. Breaking from the No. 4 post, he immediately tucked his colt along the rail — a predictable move from the rider nicknamed “Bo-rail” — and there they stayed almost the entire way. Super Saver was timed in 2:04.45 as the second-choice behind favorite Lookin At Lucky, whose 6-1 odds tied Harlan’s Holiday in 2002 for the longest priced favorite in 136 runnings. He paid $18, $8.80 and $6. Trained by Nick Zito, Ice Box returned $11.20 and $8 after nipping Paddy O’Prado at the wire for second. Paddy O’Prado paid $7.40 to show. Pletcher let out a whoop and slapped his hands together after his colt crossed the finish line, snapping a skid that the Eclipse Award-winning trainer was eager to end. He seemed to have a lock on his first Derby win until expected favorite Eskendereya was withdrawn last weekend with a swollen leg. That left Pletcher with four horses in the race, but none was as highly regarded. And now that’s over, it’s time to watch the Mayweather vs Mosley live stream as the next big sports event for the day. Alene Reta was not the first runner to cross the finish line, but a Jessica Smith, a 25-year-old law student at the University of Richmond. Smith, given a 2.64-mile head start in the annual AT&T Dash for the Cash, finished comfortably ahead of Reta. She became the third “Dash” contestant in as many years to collect $2,500 for finishing first. For the complete Ukrops Monument Avenue 10k Results , just simply visit the provided link.
