Camille Grammer to Kelsey: Good Luck!

Camille Grammer is officially divorced from Kelsey Grammer, and trying her hardest to come across as okay with that. Just hours after a judge make her split from the actor legal, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star released the following statement: “I have a great many mixed feelings about today. I’m sad for what was, yet excited about the road ahead. I’m grateful to my family and friends who have stood by me through this time. I will never forget their love and support. What I most hope is that Kelsey and I can improve our communications and truly co-parent our two wonderful children. And I wish Kelsey and Kayte love and happiness in their new marriage.” Interesting note: If you look closely enough at these words, you can actually see the steam coming out of Camille’s ears when she wrote them.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz Split Because of His Constant Touring, Source Says

Ashlee Simpson filed divorce papers to end her marriage to Pete Wentz this week in a move that caught even cynical gossip readers by surprise. The split is being called amicable, but it was her call , sources say, and due in large part to a series of arguments over Pete Wentz’s music career. His commitment to touring with his band had been a sticking point between the two for some time now and finally led to Ashley filing for divorce . It was good while it lasted. [Photo: Pacific Coast News] The 26-year-old former singer was “fed up” with her husband being away from home for extended periods of time and wanted him to focus on being a dad. “Ashlee and Pete would argue constantly about him touring,” a source told Radar . “Since she gave birth to Bronx she hated him being away from home.” “She wanted him to stop the band life and work more on producing music, so he could be around to concentrate more on being a husband and father.” “She hated him being away and said she felt like a single mother.” “When Fall Out Boy went on hiatus things were great and it was just like old times, but Pete formed his new band and then he was off touring again.” “I think that Ash just finally had enough. She put all her musical aspirations to the side to concentrate on being a mom and it is a big bone of contention with her that Pete just swans off around the world with his buddies like he’s a single guy.” “They had a major fight in October before he headed off to Europe, but then tried to make a go of things over the holidays for the sake of Bronx.” “They decided to take a break to both cool off and reassess, and both realized it was bad for Bronx to be around parents fighting all the time.” “Pete is due to head off again on tour in a couple of months and I honestly think Ashlee filed for divorce as a way to shock him into canceling his plans, or at least modifying them and giving in to her demands to be with her and Bronx.” “It’s not going to work though, Pete’s not going to play that game.” “It’s a really sad situation because they do genuinely love each other, and I would pretty much swear that neither of them is seeing someone else – but they just want totally different things in life and neither one is willing to compromise.” Well, there’s your unsourced, anonymous but realistic-sounding update.

‘X-Men: First Class’ Trailer

‘X-Men: First Class’ Trailer: Professor X And Magneto, The Way They Were

First trailer also offers brief intros to Emma Frost, Beast, Mystique and more X-Men. By Eric Ditzian and Kara Warner James McAvoy in “X-Men: First Class” Photo: 20th Century Fox We all know where this is going: Professor X and Magneto will one day be the deepest enemies. How they get to that point is the story told in “X-Men: First Class,” and if the first trailer is any indication, how they get there is going to be totally badass. This is an origin tale, after all, as the trailer makes clear. The footage begins with an appropriately edgy, slow-building score in the background, then a shot of Professor X’s office, with his empty wheelchair in the foreground. The words “Before he was Professor X” appear over a shot of what looks like Patrick Stewart as X, hooked up to Cerebro, then, continuing the first phrase, the words “He was Charles” are shown over a shot of James McAvoy as our young Chuck Xavier. The next sequence opens with “Before he was Magneto” over shots from previous “X-Men” films and Ian McKellan wearing the famous helmet and cape, then “He was Erik” over a clip of serious/brooding Michael Fassbender as young Erik Lehnsherr. Cut to Marvel’s recognizable movie insignia, the shuffling comic book pages with the logo, followed by McAvoy’s Xavier and Fassbender’s Lehnsherr walking together in a prison. The next clip shows the famous “School for the Gifted,” with the words of JFK speaking to the Cuban Missile Crisis in the background and the rest of the cast/X-Men crowded around the television listening to Kennedy’s televised address. Next up we get brief character intros, with JFK’s words — “The cost of freedom is always high” — still echoing in voice-over as Emma Frost (January Jones), Angel Salvadore (Zoe Kravitz), Hank McCoy/Beast (Nicholas Hoult), Alex Summers/Havok (Lucas Till), Moira MacTaggert (Rose Byrne) and saucy shape-shifter Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) all flash in succession onscreen. The last half of the 1:51 spot kicks up the action, with shots of fighter jets (Beast in the cockpit!), missiles launching, young mutants learning how to use their powers to fight and Lehnsherr taking hold of the famous helmet and stepping into the black-and-red suit of Magneto, followed by stern words from Xavier. “Listen to me very carefully, my friend,” Xavier says to Lehnsherr/Magneto. “Killing will not bring you peace.” “Peace was never an option,” he responds, which is followed by quick teases of some of the big action scenes, including one where Lehnsherr is pulling a submarine out of the water and into the air. The last thing we see is a revamped and slightly imposing logo for “Xavier’s School for the Gifted Youngsters,” First Class, followed by the June 3 release date. ‘X-Men: First Class’: Everything We’ve Seen So Far

Before the hotly anticipated trailer debuts, we thumb through our first peeks at Magneto, Charles Xavier, Emma Frost and more. By Eric Ditzian Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr in “X-Men: First Class” Photo: Murray Close The first trailer for “X-Men: First Class” is only hours away from going live on the film’s Facebook page, giving us our first look at footage from the upcoming superhero flick. It’s been a long time coming, considering that Fox first gave a go-ahead for the script back in 2008. Since then, we’ve gleaned all sorts of insight into the project, from interviews with behind-the-scenes players to production rumors to casting confirmations. And since filming began late last summer, we’ve been gifted with a slew of set photos and official production shots. Before the trailer arrives, let’s review everything we’ve seen so far. First Look at January Jones Our initial peek at “X-Men” came early last September, when photos of the “Mad Men” star — in full, fur-hatted costume as telepathic Emma Frost — popped up online. The aesthetic for the outfit seemed to be retro-futuristic, at once in keeping with the film’s ’60s-era setting and the mutants’ ahead-of-the-human-curve outlook. The photos also indicated — based on the presence of a red-starred jeep and helicopter — that the military will somehow factor into the story line. Meet James McAvoy Weeks later, we got our first look at McAvoy as Charles Xavier . Although taken at night and a little blurry, the photos once again showcased the film’s retro vibe. According to a report from an onlooker on the Oxford, England, set, the scene in question features Xavier “getting doctorates in theology and philosophy from Oxford University in the 1960s, his manipulation of student uprisings using his psychic powers and the way he meets best friend-turned-archrival Magneto.” The Fallen Blackbird By December, the production had shifted Stateside and we got a tantalizing look at Xavier’s Blackbird ship. The aerial shots seemed to indicate the ship had crashed on a beach. The actual location of the shoot was an island off the coast of Georgia, but speculation suggested the in-film setting would be Muir Island, Scotland, where Xavier conducts experiments to better understand the mutant gene. Weeks later, a supposed “X-Men” storyboard indicated that a mutant may be responsible for a Blackbird crash. Look at All Those Mutants! In January, a photo popped up showing a bunch of mutants together, including Jones, McAvoy, Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Rose Byrne (Moira MacTaggert) and Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique). It turned out the photo was an early leak , and director Matthew Vaughn was not pleased. “When I found out, I said, ‘What the f— is this sh–?’ and Fox is running around trying to figure out what happened as well,” he said. “I agree. It’s like a bad Photoshop, which maybe it was by someone. It didn’t reflect the movie. I was shocked when I saw it.” Official photos soon arrived: Kevin Bacon as Hellfire Club baddie Sebastian Shaw, rocking an ascot and talking business with Jones; Fassbender and James McAvoy looking stylish and concerned alongside some of their mutant students; a helmet-clad Fassbender as Magneto ; and McAvoy employing Xavier’s gift of telepathy. Most recently, looks at Magento from behind and the full X-Men logo were published on Wednesday, ahead of the trailer premiere. “I’m a fan of X-Men. We’re not bastardizing X-Men, I’m trying to get them back to being whole again,” Vaughn said. “It’s definitely more serious and more realistic, and I think that’s something that had to happen. That’s my feeling about the world we live in right now. I think the glossy colorful superhero film sorta had its day.” Check out everything we’ve got on “X-Men: First Class.” For breaking news and previews of the latest comic book movies — updated around the clock — visit SplashPage.MTV.com .
