You’ve already seen Tom Cruise , Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand , Catherine Zeta-Jones and Sebastian Bach in character on the set of Adam Shankman’s upcoming Rock of Ages , but this pic is sure to get you really excited for the musical adaptation. Constantine Maroulis — who originated the Rock of Ages lead role of Drew on Broadway, and earned a Tony nomination for his performance — officially has a small part in the film as well!

In new pictures from the set of Woody Allen’s latest film, Bop Decameron , the director mixes it up with his pitch-perfect cast including Alec Baldwin , Jesse Eisenberg (brother to Hallie), and Ellen Page. Don’t worry, Greta Gerwig, your golden moment is forthcoming, I’m sure.

Captain America’s Opening Weekend Wasn’t Bigger Than Thor

Not unexpected , but slightly disappointing nonetheless: according to final box office numbers released on Monday, Captain America: First Avenger did not have the biggest opening weekend of any superhero film released in 2011. That title still belongs to Thor — the Norse god earned almost $700,000 more than Captain America did during his initial frame. On the bright side, here’s guessing plucky underdog Steve Rogers wouldn’t have it any other way. [ LAT /Company Town ]

First Look at Judge Dredd Reveals Who You Won’t Be For Halloween 2012

With the exception of news about a release date (Sept. 21, 2012), the Lionsgate reboot of Judge Dredd — fittingly titled Dredd — received precious little hype at Comic-Con over the weekend. Perhaps that was a good thing, though, judging from the first look at Karl Urban as the titular law-keeper. Is this first look at Dredd on the cover of Empire magazine an ad for Ricky’s NYC, an ad for your local laser tag facility or the actual first clean image from the film? You be the judge (ding!) ahead.

Peter Jackson couldn’t make Comic-Con this year , but he’s taking time to titillate dorks, dorks, and also dorks with this new still of The Hobbit ‘s dwarf patrol — together at last after multiple separate photos. They are a dandy bunch. These butch woodsmen are bearded, armored, and dressed for winter! Looks a little like a catalog shoot for a post-apocalyptic Eddie Bauer.

Yesterday, Peter Jackson gave us our first glimpse of brothers Dori, Nori and Ori (played by Mark Hadlow, Jed Brophy and Adam Brown), and today we’re treated to a photo of the other set of brothers in his Company of Dwarves, Óin and Glóin (played by John Callen and Peter Hambleton).
