Getty Images Woman In Florida Confuses Contractions For Food Poisoning 29-year-old Crystal Gail Amerson woke up at 4am with intense pain in her stomach. She assumed that searing pain had to do with the Chinese food they’d eaten the night before, but her and her fiancé, Brian Westerfield were in for a huge surprise when they found out the real reason for her discomfort. When hours passed and the pain continued, Amerson realized that she didn’t have food poisoning…these were labor contractions. This was the first moment she realized she was pregnant. Her fiancé called an ambulance and shortly after they arrived at the hospital, she gave birth to a 5-pound, 18-inch baby boy. At the hospital, doctors informed Amerson that she had been 37 weeks pregnant — which means that without realizing it, she’d carried a baby to full term. “When the shock initially wore off, I was just relieved that everyone was okay,” Amerson wrote on Facebook. “It was a rough time, but it ended better than it could have.” As with her first son, says she didn’t gain much weight and didn’t experience the morning sickness that many women do. Amerson had also been on birth control in the past that had eliminated her period, so although she didn’t get her period. Commonly referred to as a “cryptic pregnancy,” a pregnancy that goes unnoticed for as long as 37-weeks happens 1 out of every 7,225 births, according to a study from 2010.

Today hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of students and activists descend upon Washington, D.C. and literally all around the world to raise their voices against the ineptitude of the federal government to construct sensible gun control reform. They don’t want to die anymore. They don’t want to lose their friends, classmates, sons, daughters, cousins, aunts, uncles, or anyone else who has lost their life to a crazed school shooter carrying a fully automatic AR-15 assault rifle. Justin Cooper is the chaperone to 250 students traveling from Pittsburgh, he spoke to CNN about strength of this youth-lead campaign: “Our youth are being confronted with these shootings and all the violence, and I think they’re looking at it and saying most people support some kind of change … but yet our laws don’t quite seems to be working with the people,” Cooper said. “So the youth of this country said, ‘Enough is enough.’ The kids are running all this.” The student survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida will be front-and-center in D.C. as well as back at a sister rally that is being held at the school. “They don’t know what it’s like to be 20 feet from an AR-15,” Parkland survivor Alfonso Calderon, 16, told students at a Washington charter school this week, referring to US lawmakers… “Every single day you wake up and it might be a thought in your head, ‘I might die today,’ ” Calderon told the students. It's been almost a month since David Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 after launching a homophobic rant on Instagram. The vile incident was spurred by a photo of Jenelle Evans shooting a gun that Eason posted just hours after the Parkland, Florida school shooting. Fans implored him to take the photo down out of respect to the victims' families. Eason refused, and all hell broke loose. One would think that Jenelle would have learned a valuable lesson from her husband's firing, but weeks later, the Carolina Hurricane is still using her newfound love of firearms to troll fans: 1. The Offending Photo Eason posted this image as a Valentine’s Day tribute to his wife. Unfortunately, it appeared online just hours after the Parkland, Florida school shooting that claimed 17 lives. 2. Combative Dave Fans begged Dave to take the photo down, but he refused. And then he went on the offensive in truly disgusting fashion… 3. Your Bigotry Is Showing… David proceeded to hurl homophobic insults at the Twitter users who suggested he delete the post. For obvious reasons, this illicited an uproar from fans, as well as from several other stars of the Teen Mom franchise. MTV responded swiftly… 4. The Changing of the Easons David was fired by producers, and MTV released a statement informing viewers that he would no longer appear on any of its new programming. 5. Jenelle Tries to Make It Right Jenelle issued a public apology in which she lamely claimed that David “doesn’t understand Twitter” and can’t be homophobic because he once attended a party at which they were also gay people in attendance. Investigators are still building their criminal case in the death of Bobbi Kristina. But the man already found legally responsible for her death keeps getting into trouble with the law. Nick Gordon has been arrested for domestic battery in Florida. Again . This is his second arrest in under a year. 29-year-old Nick Gordon was arrested by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office. He was charged with domestic battery. People reports that police arrived at Nick Gordon’s home to respond to a domestic disturbance . Gordon apparently told them that he wanted girlfriend Laura Leal removed from his home and alleged that she had thrown a bottle at him and torn his shirt without provocation. That explanation didn’t sit right with police. Officers noticed that Leal had a swollen lip and signs and traces of blood on her face. Leal told police that she picked up Gordon from a bar, and that he struck her face while she was driving. He allegedly also grabbed her hair and “stated to her that he should make her wreck the vehicle,” according to the arrest report. That is horrifying. To make matters worse, Leal declined to press charges, though police arrested him based upon her statements. He was released on $500 bond and is due in court on April 6th. If any of this sounds familiar, it’s because Nick Gordon was arrested last June … also for domestic assault and kidnapping of the exact same woman. This was his mugshot in 2017. At the time, he was arrested for domestic assault and kidnapping of his girlfriend, Laura Leal. Laura Leal described how he beat and abused her , and said that she’d finally let herself look up how Bobbi Kristina died and realized that she could have met her end the same way. The charges stem from Leal’s accusations that Gordon pinned her to the bed and began striking her in the face. She said that she was on the verge of losing consciousness when, desperate to save her own life, she managed to grab hold of a candlestick and strick Nick with it. Leal said that this bought her the moment she needed to escape. She fled to Nick’s mother’s room to beg for sanctuary from her son’s alleged violence. Leal then went to the police, who arrested Nick Gordon. So, after that absolute nightmare of a situation, why were charges dropped? Well, last August, Laura Leal became “uncooperative” with investigators. Unfortunately, the justice system requires a cooperative witness to press charges in order to have even a hope of getting a successful conviction for charges like domestic violence. (At the time when the US Constitution was drawn up and laws were put into place, domestic violence was not considered a crime and women were essentially property, so … this was not a priority to the Founding Fathers) It seems that Laura Leal’s near-death experience and learning what she did about Bobbi Kristina’s death weren’t enough.
