It’s no secret that black women who date outside of their race are often wrongfully targeted for a number of negative reasons, but one woman shocked a few readers when sharing her experience of constantly being mistaken for a prostitute while out in public with her white husband. via Black Like Moi Jamilah Lemieux at Ebony magazine recently asked women to “RT if you are a Black woman (trans or cis) and have been assumed to be a sεx worker by a White man.” The reaction was jaw-dropping, with women tweeting their experience of having been mistaken for a sεx worker in a variety of different settings. This prompted Maureen Evans Arthurs to share her story of being mistaken for a prostιtute while out with her white husband. “The first time I was mistaken for a sεx worker I was on my husband’s arm at a corporate event in California four years ago. A man approached me, asking if he could buy me a drink. I declined, and he proceeded to whisper to me, ‘How much?’” writes Arthurs. Arthurs, stunned, says she asked “How much for what”, then took one look at the scoundrel and knew exactly what he was asking. She quickly flashed a wedding ring and walked away, but left feeling humiliated. To make matters worse, Arthurs says the assumption that she’s a prostιtute haven’t stopped, even though she and her husband have been together over ten years. “Just last month, at another event, several male acquaintances propositioned me. Comments ranged anywhere from, ‘You’re on the wrong arm, sweetie, I wish I could go home with you…’ to the incredibly forward, ‘We have this whole place to ourselves, it’ll be a shame if we don’t maximize our time here and slip away?’ all said within 10 to 15 feet of my husband.” Crazy, right? Mother Who Claimed She Found An Abandoned Baby Admits To Being Mom Via The Grio reports: A woman claiming to find an abandoned baby girl in a Beltsville, Md., neighborhood has admitted to police that she is in fact the girl’s mother. After the baby was reportedly found by Khiana Jackson after stepping out on the back porch, the woman, who originally was identified as a neighbor, called police. As it turns out, however, Jackson was actually the hours-old girl’s mother. While Maryland does have a safe haven law that allows a mother to legally leave a child less than 10 days old at a fire station, police station or hospital, this protection does not extend to children left in people’s backyards. In an interview, Jackson says her reaction to finding the baby was “This is crazy. I’m overwhelmed; what do I do at this point?” Jackson later admitted to police that she made up the story because she had just given birth to the baby girl within her home, and was “feeling overwhelmed,” according to NBC Atlanta. The police indicated that the baby was never actually outdoors. The 23-year old Jackson is the mother of five other children and will be allowed to maintain custody of them. It is uncertain at this time whether she will be able to keep the baby girl. Prince George’s County Police were inundated with calls offering to adopt the baby girl after the first story broke. Lawd! Tennessee Couple Arrested For Killing Popular Pastor Via The Grio reports: The family of a Memphis pastor found dead Saturday may finally have justice. The Prospect Park Missionary Baptist Church pastor, Don Smith, was discovered dead near a pond at Hickory Hill. His car was also missing. Police spotted the car on Wednesday and pulled over Lashonda Williams, 24, and Roger Reed Jr., 23. Warrants for first-degree murder were issued for both of them. Memphis Pastor Don Smith was shot and killed Saturday — and his family still doesn’t have any answers. Smith’s body was found lying on Hickory Hill, beside a pond, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The family is still in shock. “All we know is right now he was murdered and we can’t find the person who did it,” said family member Raymond Jones. “We’re still trying to put pieces together of what actually happened…of what caused his death.” Smith, a pastor at Prospect Park Missionary Baptist Church in Whitehaven, spent all his time at the church or in the kitchen — warming souls with food and the Gospel. A wake will be held for Pastor Smith on Friday between 4 and 7 p.m., and the funeral will take place on November 8 at 11 a.m. at the Golden Gate Cathedral on Saturday. May God have mercy on their sick souls!

Ex-Baltimore Ravens Cheerleader Charged With Raping 15-Year-Old Boy Via ABC 13 reports: A former Baltimore Ravens cheerleader and the estranged wife of a prominent Maryland energy executive has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual relationship involving a 15-year-old boy. Delaware State Police said Wednesday that 47-year-old Molly Shattuck was indicted Monday on two counts of third-degree rape, four counts of unlawful sexual contact and three counts of providing alcohol to minors. She was released on $84,000 bond after a Wednesday arraignment. Police say a 15-year-old boy reported to having an inappropriate sexual relationship with Shattuck after meeting her on Instagram. WJZ and WBAL report the first intimate encounter happened at an AMC Theater where Shattuck and the boy kissed and touched each other sexually. The incident continued in the back seat of Shattock’s Escalade in the parking lot of a middle school. Police report the relationship culminated with sexual activity at a vacation rental home in Bethany Beach, Delaware, over Labor Day weekend. Shattuck’s attorney didn’t return a call for comment. Shattuck gained celebrity status when she became the oldest cheerleader in NFL history at the age of 38. Shattuck is separated from Mayo Shattuck, former CEO of Baltimore-based Constellation Energy Nuclear Group. She has three children of her own, aged 15, 13 and 11. In May, Shattuck spoke to “Profiles with Mickey Burns” about being the oldest cheerleader ever chosen by a team and her reputation as a healthy living expert. People

Female Softball Coach Pretends To Be High School Boy A former teacher’s aide and softball coach for Virginia Beach Public Schools was sentenced Monday, after prosecutors say she tricked students into online relationships. Via WAVY reports: Circuit Court Judge A. Bonwill Shockley sentenced 27-year-old Kyle Lynne Noro of Virginia Beach for one count entice a minor to perform in porn, age 15+, offender 7+ years, according to Macie Pridgen with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Virginia Beach. Noro was arrested in January 2014. In July, she pleaded no contest to the charges, meaning she admits the Commonwealth has enough evidence to prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Pridgen said the Commonwealth’s evidence proves Noro, while employed at Princess Anne High School in 2012 and 2013, used false identities to pose as teenage boys on at least 20 Facebook accounts. She bought prepaid cell phones to coordinate with the false identities and befriended several female students online. “She was not really soft spoken. She talked a lot, and when she talked, she kind of made you feel uncomfortable,” said Princess Anne graduate Ryan Sobotta. “She just didn’t seem normal to me.” Posing as “Kevin,” Noro engaged in an online sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl, even arranging for gifts to be delivered to her. Pridgen said Noro sent numerous sexually explicit photos to the victim and convinced her to send hundreds of sexually explicit photos, in return. That relationship went on from August 1, 2013 to Oct. 31 of 2013, around when the victim’s father discovered the online relationship and reported it, according to Virginia Beach police. Later, it was discovered that “Kevin” was Noro. Pridgen said Noro confessed to the crime. “This case is a perfect example of the online predators that can threaten our community,” said Commonwealth’s Attorney for the city of Virginia Beach Collin Stolle. “Parents should continue to talk to their children and teenagers about online safety and encourage teens not to share information with people they don’t personally know. My office will continue to vigorously prosecute those who threaten our children online.” Judge Shockley sentenced Noro to 15 years in prison, with 12 years suspended. After she serves her three years, she must register as a sex offender and receive sex offender treatment. Noro will also not be allowed to use the internet and will be on intensive supervised probation. Pridgen said three years is the mandatory minimum sentence for Noro’s offense. This is gross!!!!
