Is Robin Thicke copying Marvin Gaye ? Marvin Gaye’s Son Says Robin Thicke Copies Music Via TMZ reports: Marvin Gaye’s son is out for blood in his war with Robin Thicke, telling “TMZ Live” he resents Thicke’s lawsuit against the Gaye estate over “Blurred Lines” … and is strongly insinuating he plans to respond with legal action of his own. Marvin Gaye III dropped us a line Wednesday, and he’s not happy … basically saying Thicke has disrespected the Gaye family by shamelessly lifting his father’s famous tunes for the hit song (plus many other Thicke tracks). As you know, Thicke has filed a lawsuit against the Gaye estate, asking a judge to head off any legal action from the Gayes by ruling “Blurred Lines” does NOT violate Marvin’s copyrights. Marvin III says Thicke’s lawsuit is a total slap in the face. Marvin III hedged when we asked flat out if he plans to sue Thicke for copyright infringement … but the message was clear. What rhymes with sue me?

Man Has Forced Sex With Woman In House Shared With Wife According to Mail Online A top Goldman Sachs banker has been arrested on charges that he had forced sex with a 20-year-old woman at a $33,000-a-month summer house he rented in the Hamptons with his wife. Jason Lee, 37, was charged with first-degree forced sex on Wednesday. Police allege that he assaulted the woman during a nekked pool party at the home in East Hampton on Long Island, New York. Lee, the managing director for the Goldman Sachs group that handles the initial public offerings, pleaded not guilty. His lawyer said he is innocent and is looking forward to clearing his name. He is on leave from his job at Goldman following his arrest. The East Hampton Star reports that the alleged victim was a guest at Lee’s summer house during a party Monday night. A police source told the newspaper that there was ‘nudity involved’ at the pool party. Sometime that evening or early Tuesday, police allege, Lee had forced sex with the young woman. The party was being held at a four-bedroom mansion Lee and his wife had rented for the summer. The New York Times reports that the mansion was listed for $33,000 a month. The woman reported the alleged assault to police on Tuesday. Lee was arrested the next day. During a court hearing in East Hampton Wednesday, which was attended by Lee’s wife and several members of his family, Lee posted his $20,000 bail in cash. An envelope with the money was handed to the clerk of court, who diligently counted out the bills before Lee was allowed to be released. Lee’s lawyer Edward Burke Jr. told the Times that Lee ‘adamantly denies the allegations levied against him.’ He said Lee has ‘never been in trouble in his life.’ ‘We look forward to clearing his name in a court of law,’ Mr Burke said. The first preview clips of Kanye West’s sit-down interview with his de facto mother-in-law Kris Jenner have arrived — and in the rapper’s Kris appearance, he gets personal and emotional about girlfriend Kim Kardashian and North, their two-month-old baby daughter. Defending his still-surprising romance with the reality star, the hip-hop star, 36, tells Jenner: “I could have people say, ‘This is going to damage your credibility as an artist or designer.’ And i say, you know, i don’t care, I love this woman.” Of increased attention from the media and photographers, West reasons: “I love this person. She’s worth it to me.” Remembering the recent death of his grandfather Portwood Williams, Sr., West says “his whole thing was about joy, having joy in his life. [Kim is] my joy. She brought my new joy into the world.” In another moment from the chat, West admits that the 2007 death of his mother, Donda West, hit him hard. “There were times [after her death], I would put my life at risk. Your inner white girl just screamed! NSYNC Reunion Planned For VMAs Via HuffPo reports: After saying “Bye, Bye, Bye” in the early ’00s, the boys of *NSYNC may finally be reuniting. Page Six is reporting that Lance Bass, JC Chasez, Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake will perform together for the first time in years at this Sunday’s Video Music Awards on MTV. It was announced last week that Timberlake will perform at the upcoming awards show. He’s also set to receive a major honor: the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. Reports on the reunion speculate that the boy band will reunite to celebrate Timberlake’s award. After releasing their last album, “Celebrity,” in 2001, and going on a subsequent tour to promote the album, appearances by all five members of *NSYNC have been rare. “I don’t think we’re doing anything,” Bass said in an interview earlier this year. “I don’t think [a reunion] would happen. Everyone is doing their own thing. Justin’s doing his thing. I don’t think he would have a moment off to do an *NSYNC album. He’s the busy one.” Timberlake is set to have a big night at the VMAs, regardless of whether he is joined by his former *NSYNC bandmates. The 32-year-old singer is tied with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis for the most nominations at six nods. He is up for awards including Video of the Year, Best Male Video, and Best Pop Video. Other artists confirmed to perform at the awards show include Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. So it’s Justin Timberlake performing with 4 backup dancers? Will you be tuning in??
