Girls At A Catholic High School Asked To Sign A “No Cursing” Pledge Via NYDailyNews A Catholic high school is under fire for ordering its girls to sign up to a “no-cursing” pledge – but not requesting the same of its male students. Queen of Peace High School, in North Arlington New Jersey, has been accused of sexism and having double-standards for the rule that was introduced by administrators last week. Student Dana Cotter, 16, said that although she believed the idea behind the pledge was sound, she criticized it for not involving all students. But the move has been defended by its Principal Larry Lavallee, who said girls at the institution had “the worst language.” Lori Flynn, the teacher who organized the pledge, also said school officials just wanted “ladies to act like ladies.” She added that, although boys were not specifically asked to participate, they were asked to tone down their cursing when female students were around, reports NBC10 Philadelphia. It was hoped that the improved behavior of the girls would have a positive influence on the boys, she said. Latinos vs. Blacks Latino Gang Members Arrested For Hate Crimes Three Latino men have been arrested in suspicion of a terrifying hate crime committed against an African-American family. The suspects allegedly brought 15 to 20 gang members to surround the house, telling the family that it couldn’t live in the predominantly Latino neighborhood. Via HuffPo reports : Jeffrey Aguilar, 19, Efren Marquez, 21, and a teenage juvenile were arrested on Jan. 24 for committing the alleged hate crime in Compton, Los Angeles, according to the LA Sheriff’s Department. Shortly after an African-American family moved onto 154th Street, one of the male family members, while walking home on Dec. 31, was approached by four Latino men in an SUV. As the police describe the horrific event: The men identified themselves as members of a local street gang and told the victim that he and his family were not allowed to live in the area because they are Black. The gang members continually shouted racial epithets and threats of violence towards the victim. Fearing for his life, the victim ran home but was chased by the gang members who exited the vehicle and began beating the victim with metal pipes. One of the suspects, 21-year-old Suspect Efren Marquez, allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and threatened to shoot him while he was allegedly being beaten with a metal pipe by 19-year-old Suspect Jeffrey Aguilar. After the attack, the gang members fled in the vehicle. Marquez and Aguilar returned 30 minutes later with a group of 15-20 gang members, who surrounded the front of the victims’ home shouting racial epithets and telling them that members of the African American race (using the ‘n-word’) were not allowed to live in the neighborhood. One unidentified member of the group threw a large beer bottle through the front living room window, shattering the window. Both Suspect Marquez and Aguilar were reportedly armed with handguns. And the suspects allegedly continued to drive by the home several times a day, shouting racial slurs while ordering the family to leave the neighborhood — until the family finally did. Compton is a neighborhood with a history of racial violence. Part of the current tension stems from the neighborhood demographics changing from predominantly African-American to heavily Latino. The gang allegedly involved in this hateful act is known to commit racially-motivated crimes. “This gang has always made it clear they have a racial hatred for black people,” Lt. Richard Westin told the Los Angeles Times. “They repeatedly used racial epithets, they use racial hatred graffiti and they tag up the black church a lot.” What the hell?? Brown is brown, we are all supposed to be on the same side! Well, damn…these amigos might as well join those hooded cowards down south!

Simpson may be rotting behind bars, but it doesn’t mean he can skate on his taxes … so says the IRS, who just slapped him with yet ANOTHER tax lien. According to a federal lien filed in December, O.J. failed to cough up $17,015.99 in taxes for the year 2011. This makes for the THIRD lien filed against him in the last 12 months. As TMZ first reported, Uncle Sam filed a lien for $179,435.07 for the years 2007-2010 and the State of California says he still owes $318,566.04 for the year 2000. Tax debt total = $515,017.10. And don’t forget … he still owes MILLIONS to the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman for that whole double murder thing. Better keep pounding those license plates. Time for the state of California to start garnishing OJ prison earnings.

American Idol Denies Racist Allegations Via TMZ reports : Four “American Idol” finalists from different seasons — two of whom are black — insist the singing competition is many things … but racist is NOT one of them. TMZ broke the story … nine black ex-contestants are planning to sue “Idol” producers, claiming the contestants were publicly disqualified based on their dubious criminal backgrounds … solely because they’re African-American. But Season 6 finalist Melinda Doolittle adamantly disagrees, telling TMZ, “It is shocking to see such allegations. In my experience on the show, the ‘Idol’ team strives to champion everyone, regardless of race. However, each contestant is explicitly told that the withholding of information that may compromise the show or artist, can and will result in immediate disqualification.” Season 4 finalist Vonzell Solomon adds, “I didn’t experience any of that [racial discrimination] … all of our contracts were clear about how the background checks worked and that we could be disqualified if we lied about our past.” Two other former contestants — Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks and Season 10 finalist Casey Abrams — also agree. Casey says, “I don’t know why they are biting the hand that fed them. Those guys beat thousands of people who wanted to be on TV. Idol is picky, but I’m not sure about racist.” Taylor — whose Vegas show is still going strong — adds, “American Idol is for everyone. All walks of life go through the show. Not once did I see the show discriminate towards anyone. It’s all about the votes.” FYI — “Idol” has had three black winners in its history … Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino and Jordin Sparks.
