This is just sad… Pregnant NYC Woman Stabbed Just One Day Before Wedding A woman who was eight months pregnant was found stabbed to death Saturday in her apartment, the day before her wedding, police said. According to Huffingtonpost : Vindalee Smith, 38, was found on the floor of her apartment in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn with a gaping wound in her neck. It wasn’t clear how long she’d been dead before the body was discovered by her landlord. Her unborn child did not survive. There was no sign of forced entry, and no weapon was recovered, police said. Investigators are looking for a possible suspect. They interviewed her friends and family, and spoke to her fiance. “I can’t even begin to imagine who would want to do that,” her friend, Sybil Samuel, told local newspapers. “It would be the devil, to kill a woman with a child in her stomach. They killed two people.” Smith had four children in their teens and 20s, friends said. A baby shower had been planned for Saturday evening, followed by a small wedding Sunday. Friends told reporters that Smith had met her fiance about a year ago. Smith was a devout Seventh-Day Adventist and attended New Dimension Church, where she was supposed to get married. Congregation members were concerned when she didn’t show up for morning service. “She was always on time_ always the first person at church,” Tyler Harrigan told the Daily News of New York. “When the news came to the church, the whole church broke down. We started to bawl. All the children were crying.” What an incredibly sick and evil crime. May mother and child rest in peace.
Britney did sing “Toxic”… Via TMZ reports : Britney Spears took a huge amount of amphetamines the night she was strapped to a stretcher and placed on a 5150 hold — so claims Sam Lutfi’s lawyer in the opening statements of his defamation case. Lutfi’s lawyer, Joseph Schleimer, told the jury, on January 28, 2008, Britney had an amphetamine script filled. Schleimer says she took 6 to 8 pills early in the day, and several more later and went off the rails. Lutfi’s lawyer also said he tried to get Britney to meet with a psychiatrist 2 days before she was 5150′d, but Brit refused. And there’s this … during Britney’s disastrous appearance on the MTV Awards in 2007, Lutfi felt she was such a mess she shouldn’t do it, because she was overweight and didn’t rehearse, but Britney wouldn’t hear it. As shady as this Sam character is, he seems to make some valid points. It’s obvious she was going through some serious drug/mental issues during this time, but if she was so messed up how is she competent enough to sign a contract making him her manager?

Barack proved himself to be passionate and in control tonight. And he corrected Mitt on more incorrect facts than we can count on one hand. While Mitt was rude and showed a complete lack of respect and understanding of Women, the middle-class, and energy and job concerns, Barack stayed on topic for the majority of the debate and didn’t let Mittens shake him up. Robney offended women when he addressed the question of equal pay and pathetically responded by saying he “had a binder full of women” and would “figure out a way for Mom’s to get home in time to make dinner”. He also lied about contraception coverage for women…he has said in the past that employers can decide if they want to cover it or not. He also blamed single parents for gun control issues and continues to bring up his ‘five points’ without explaining what his ‘five point plan’ actually is. According to CNN… A forceful Obama defended his record and challenged Romney on shifting positions in the 90-minute debate, arguing his Republican rival’s policies would favor the wealthy if elected. Romney repeatedly attacked Obama’s record, saying millions of unemployed people and sluggish economic recovery showed the president’s policies had failed. Obama was more animated and engaging than his understated and widely panned performance in their first debate nearly two weeks ago. “Governor Romney says he’s got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn’t have a five-point plan; he has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules,” Obama said about his opponent’s approach for boosting the economy. Romney shot back that Obama was “great as a speaker, but his policies don’t work.” “That’s what this election is all about,” Romney said, saying he would prioritize middle class growth. “It’s about how we can get the middle class of this country a bright and prosperous future.” However, Romney failed to provide further specifics of his tax policy, even when one audience member asked about unspecified deductions and loopholes the candidate says he will eliminate. On a sensitive foreign policy topic, the candidates clashed at the front of the stage over the September 11 terrorist attack in Libya that killed four Americans, with Romney suggesting the Obama administration played politics by failing to immediately acknowledge what happened. Obama shot back that the suggestion anyone in his administration would play politics on such an issue was “offensive.” When Obama said he called it a terrorist attack shortly afterward, Romney challenged him, and Obama responded “check the transcript.” “More debt and less jobs. I’m going to change that. I know what it takes to create good jobs again,” Romney said, addressing the first-time voter. “When you come out in 2014 — I presume I’m going to be president — I’m going to make sure you get a job.” The most recent CNN “poll of polls” — an aggregate of the latest major surveys — showed Romney with a slight edge nationally at 48. In the battleground states considered up-for-grabs, polls show Romney has narrowed Obama’s lead or caught the president just three weeks before the election. The Obama campaign conceded he had a bad night in the first debate and promised a more aggressive approach in New York. BET Co-Founder Criticizes The Network For What It Has Become If you’ve ever watched BET in recent years and felt like things have changed for the worst since founder Bob Johnson retired from the company, you’re not alone. BET co-founder and ex-wife of Bob Johnson, Sheila Johnson says she is not happy with the way that things have gone at BET since and she and her ex-husband handed over the reigns back in 2005. via EurWeb Sheila Johnson, co-founder of the black network, gave BET a piece of her mind before, and she did it again, recently. She was the speaker at the “Conversations and Encounters” program at the Carmel Art and Film Festival in Monterey County, Calif. this weekend. She shared her story about the successes and life achievements both she and her husband built together over the years, expressing that she is most proud of BET’s Teen Summit, which ran from 1989 to 2002. But her moment of admitted accomplishments quickly turned to what appeared to be disappointment and built up anger; claiming that her product now ”reinforces negative stereotypes of young people, African Americans in particular.” And you know it didn’t end there. “I think we squandered a really important cable network, when it really could have been the voice of Black America. We’re losing our voice as a race as a result,” she ranted. “I’m really worried about what our young people are watching. There are so many young people who are using the television as a babysitter. Hip-Hop’s Guilty Pleasure?? The hell?? Since when?!?!?! Ke$ha’s just made magazine history…her feature for Vibe makes her the first (living) white solo female ‘artist’ to be on the magazine’s cover. We’re not sure what her claim to fame may be but she’s definitely not ‘Hip-Hop’s Guilty Pleasure’. Here’s a snippet of her interview in Vibe: “I came from a single-parent home, my mom had a nose ring and tattoos, and I’d make my own clothes,” she says. “People just thought I was a fucking freak.” She moved to Los Angeles when she was 17 at the behest of Dr. Luke, the pop machinist who’d heard her demos; she slept on his couch and added the dollar-sign to her name when she was still poor, as both an ironic joke and something to aspire to. Back then, Ke$ha was writing songs for “anyone,” working in a coffee shop, and crashing studio sessions with Luke. That’s where she cut her lusty vocal for Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round,” where most people first heard her—but it wasn’t until the party anthem “Tik Tok” dropped later that year that the world got a true taste of the cowboy-booted bad girl. An electro-pop hybrid with a yodeling chorus and gleaming dance floor synth line, the song features the still-quoted line, “Before I leave, brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack, ’cause when I leave for the night I ain’t comin’ back,” which reads something like her mission statement. To top it off, Diddy called in a couple of ad-libs, establishing Ke$ha as party-hard royalty out the gate. Latoya Jackson Defends Herself Against Claims That She Looted Michael Jackson’s House According to TMZ reports : La Toya Jackson insists … she did not raid Michael Jackson’s home just hours after his death, pillaging plastic bags filled with cash — and now, she’s threatening to sue a major magazine for saying otherwise. La Toya has fired off a cease-and-desist letter to Vanity Fair, claiming its recent article entitled “Estate of Siege” is “replete with misstatements of fact, false innuendos, and defamatory insinuations.” According to La Toya’s letter, the article falsely claims she showed up at MJ’s Carolwood mansion shortly after his death and loaded plastic bags filled with cash into a duffel bag. The VF article goes on to describe La Toya’s bf leaving the home in a moving van. La Toya claims the article describes her visit as a “mad scramble for money” — strongly insinuating she stole large sums of cash from MJ’s house. According to La Toya … the allegations are nothing but lies and she wants a full retraction asap. Bankrupt Dad? When you make millions giving financial advice to other people, the last thing anyone expects is for you to go bankrupt. Robert Kiyosaki, author of the best-selling book, “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” has filed for bankruptcy. Kiyosaki made the move after being wiped out by a $24 million dollar lawsuit that he lost to the Learning Annex. Kiyosaki’s Rich Global LLC filed for bankruptcy after being ordered to pay nearly $24 million to the Learning Annex and its founder and chairman, Bill Zanker. US District Judge Shira A. Scheindlin in April ordered Rich Global to pay up $23,687,957.21 after a jury ruled Kiyosaki must give the Learning Annex a percentage of his profits after using their platform for speaking engagements, including a 2002 gig at Madison Square Garden. Rich Global filed for bankruptcy in Wyoming on Aug. 20. Zanker told us, “I took Kiyosaki’s brand and made it bigger. The deal was I would get a percentage, and he reneged. We had a signed letter of intent. The Learning Annex is the greatest promoter. We put his ‘Rich Dad’ brand on a stage. We truly prepared him for great fame and riches. But when it was time for him to pay up, he said ‘no.’ ” This has taken years in court. I won even more money than I asked for from the jury, then he declared corporate bankruptcy. Oprah believed in him, and Will Smith believed in him, but he didn’t keep his promise to us.” “Robert and [wife] Kim are not paying out of personal assets. We have a few million dollars in this company, but not 16 or 20. I can’t do anything about a $20 million judgment . . . Wow! The brawl left one guest dead and three were arrested!! During the early hours of Sunday morning, a fight broke out between wedding guests in the bar at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philly. Good times went to complete chaos in a matter of seconds! According to RadarOnline… The City of Brotherly Love definitely did NOT live up to its name in the early hours of Sunday morning. In a scene that seemed to be straight out of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a brawl broke out between members of two wedding parties at an upscale Philadelphia hotel in the city’s historic district. The 57-year-old uncle of one of the brides was found unconscious outside of the wedding at 2:06 am. He was taken to Jefferson University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of a heart attack. Summary citations for disorderly conduct were issued to two other men. A third man who can be seen being hit by a police baton, is still behind bars while the PD decides whether to charge him with assault on an officer. “It’s definitely leaning that way,” police spokesman Lt. Ray Evers told The Philadelphia Daily News. It’s unclear what started the melee which took place in the bar at the Sheraton Society Hill, “newly refurbished after a multi-million dollar renovation” according to its website. But one man can be clearly heard on the video asking, “did they just deck the bride?” Offered Lt. We’re not insurance agents but we’re pretty damn sure it takes longer than two weeks to get your ride replaced after it’s been totaled in an accident …especially an accident that’s under investigation. Seems a little shady to us and we hope this fool isn’t messing with her money! According to TMZ… Bobbi Kristina’s boyfriend, Nick Gordon, got a brand new ride following his NASTY car accident last month — and wouldn’t you know … he took home THE EXACT SAME CAR he had before. TMZ broke the story, Nick and B.K. got into a scary accident in GA last month and his precious Chevy Camaro was badly wrecked — with the bumper torn off and a missing front tire. The details surrounding the crash remain unclear — but we’re told the accident is currently under investigation. In the meantime, sources close to Nick tell TMZ … he wasted no time replacing his messed up ride — and even though he had his heart set on a Maserati, he ultimately went with a new Camaro, just like his old one.
