Turner and baby mama Maria Grissom are battling in court over Turner’s daycare payments for their daughter. According to documents filed in Georgia, Grissom claims the Atlanta Falcons superstar NEVER pays his daughter’s school money on time is demanding he pay her up to four years in advance … to the tune of $59,121. But Turner is firing back … claiming he DOES pay the school on time and it’s Grissom who is in the wrong … blasting his personal life drama all over her Twitter account in violation of their court agreement. We wonder if her boo/brother was there too SMH Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobby Brown had some quality father-daughter bonding time in the Big Apple on Tuesday and the late Whitney Houston’s daughter and ex-husband didn’t exactly pick a low-profile spot for their reunion: A witness tells Us Weekly exclusively that Bobbi Kristina, 19, and her R&B singer dad, 43, had lunch at Blue Fin, located in the heart of Times Square. The somewhat estranged twomsome were joined by Brown’s longtime girlfriend, Alicia Etheridge and three other unidentified pals. The group’s Blue Fin lunch lasted about an hour and a half and, according to the witness, Bobbi Kristina “was on her phone and texting a crazy amount. She didn’t seem too thrilled to be there, in all honesty.” Bobbi Kristina — who briefly checked into the hospital following her mother’s shocking Feb. 11 death at age 48 — has kept a fairly low profile in the past month. Appearing calm in a March interview with Oprah Winfrey, she said “I’m doing as good as I possibly can at this point. I’m just trying to keep going. . . I feel [my mom] pass through me all the time. I wake up at night.” She raised eyebrows later that month, when she stepped out holding hands with and kissing Nick Gordon, whom Houston informally adopted when he was just 12 year old. The creator of the “African Americans for Mitt Romney ” Facebook page, launched it back in January with a video of Romney recalling his father’s relationship with Martin Luther King Jr. The mission is to gather African-American support for Romney’s White House bid, but Cruger has a larger goal, too: recruit more blacks to the Republican Party, which he says has a lot to offer. We’re sure that African-American conservatives will “like” having a new social networking home: “Mitt Romney will create many new jobs for African-Americans. He has laid out a plan to get the economy moving, lower unemployment and make sure that promises made by a functional government are promises kept,” the John Jay College of Criminal Justice student writes. Cruger, who is president of his school’s Republican Club, told The Hill that he is often “one of a few African-Americans at any Republican event.” He hopes the Facebook effort will help change that. “I think more people of my race should be Republican because I believe the Republican Party has been looking out for Black people a whole lot,” said Cruger, adding that fellow GOPers have made him feel extremely welcome. Eddie asked her for a bowl of soup, and according to the New York Post’s spies, the media mogul did him one better: “Please, can we get him some money, get him a meal?” asked Oprah. As Scarpetta staff brought him a “feast,” one of Oprah’s dinner companions handed over a bunch of cash. Chef (and owner) Scott Conant posted the New York Post article on his Facebook page earlier that day. His only comment? “Wow!!” Scarpetta is a fine dining Italian restaurant where a plain (but delicious) tomato sauce spaghetti goes for $24. The restaurant has multiple locations across the country, and People points out that when Jay-Z ate at the Miami outpost in 2011, he left a $50,000 tip on a $250,000 bottle of champagne. Oprah’s generosity is legendary. In 2007, she founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls school in South Africa, which provides educational and leadership opportunities in a luxurious setting to underprivileged girls in the area. Barack Obama Covers Rolling Stone Barry-O is on the cover of Rolling Stone… Offering riffs on Mick Jagger and reflections on race, President Barack Obama is capping a week devoted to courting young votes with a Rolling Stone magazine cover interview that segues from presidential musings on politics to foreign policy to pop culture. Sounding an election-year theme, Obama tells the magazine that Mitt Romney can’t disavow the conservative views he embraced as candidate during the Republican presidential primaries. At the same time, he acknowledges that he, too, is struggling against public skepticism because of the slow economic recovery. The interview, conducted earlier this month by Rolling Stone publisher Jann Wenner, will appear in the issue of the magazine that hits newsstands Friday. Obama in the interview avoided characterizing Romney as a flip-flopper, a common criticism Romney faced during the Republican primary contests, and instead tagged him as a candidate who willfully embraces the Republican Party’s most conservative views. “I don’t think that their nominee is going to be able to suddenly say, `Everything I’ve said for the last six months, I didn’t mean,’” Obama said. “I’m assuming that he meant it. When you’re running for president, people are paying attention to what you’re saying.” Obama’s answer underscores an approach his advisers have been emphasizing lately, casting the race as one of sharp contrasts between two distinct candidates, parties and ideologies. He said his own political burden is describing to Americans the progress that has occurred during his administration and how, if sustained, it could lead to economic security. “There’s understandable skepticism,” he said, “because things are still tough out there.” He said the operation to kill Osama bin Laden illustrated the “constructive relationship” he has developed with the Pentagon. On Iraq, he said he had fulfilled his promise to end the war responsibly. “It wasn’t as fast as some people would have liked,” he said. “It was probably faster than some folks in the Pentagon would have liked.” Reflecting on whether there had been a change in racial politics since he became president, Obama said he has never accepted the idea that his election represented a “post-racial period.” Still, he said, he often hears people remark about the importance to black children of having an African-American president and African-American first lady. “That’s hugely important,” he added, “but you shouldn’t also underestimate the fact that there are a whole bunch of little white girls and white boys all across the country who just take it for granted that there’s an African-American president. Chicago High School Board Member Called To Resign Over Racist Facebook Post A Berwyn, Illinois school board member is “Berwyn CARES shares the outrage of students, teachers and residents in learning about racist posts on the Facebook page of board member Michael Iniquez,” the group said in a statement issued after the Chicago Sun-Times reported on the comments. Iniquez sits on the Morton High School District 201 school board. The district serves more than 8,000 students, mainly from Berwyn and Cicero. The Sun-Times reported Wednesday that on Iniquez’s Facebook wall was the post, “IT’S FRIDAY NI–A’S,” next to a picture of a nearly naked black child dancing. The whole word — a version of the n-word — was spelled out on the wall of Iniquez’s Facebook page. His entire Facebook page appears to have since been removed. “Certainly, if these allegations are true, he has no place on this school board,” Berwyn CARES President Robert Pauly said. The group, representing several hundred parents, stopped just short of calling for Iniquez’s resignation as it awaits the outcome of an internal investigation being done by the Town of Cicero where Iniquez works as the head of the rodent control. Iniquez is a longtime supporter of Cicero Town President Larry Dominick, who has condemned the posts, and the son of the town’s former police chief. In an interview earlier this week, Iniquez blamed the racist post on his 15-year-old son but acknowledged writing on his public Facebook page about getting drunk at a Cubs game and comparing the White Sox ballpark to a ghetto. He did not return a phone message Thursday. Berwyn Alderman Marge Paul in an interview Thursday called on Iniquez to resign, noting the revelations about him only aggravate a situation where parents are moving out of Berwyn rather than send their children to high school in the underperforming Morton District 201. Trayvon Martin’s Parents Outraged Over Zimmerman’s Courtroom Apology And Low Bail Can you blame Trayvon Martin’s parents for being pissed their son’s killer had the gall to address them at his bail hearing ??? “I am sorry for the loss of your son,” said Zimmerman, 28, who looked bulky in a freshly pressed charcoal-gray suit that tightly covered a bullet-proof vest. “I did not know how old he was. I thought he was a little bit younger than I am. I did not know if he was armed or not.” When he was pointedly asked by prosecutors if he was grandstanding for the media, Zimmerman said, “No,” that he was talking only to “the mother and the father” of Martin. Trayvon’s parents stared stoically from their seats. After the hearing, a lawyer for the family said the parents were outraged both by the “apology” and the fact that Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. granted a $150,000 bond, just a fraction of the $1 million bail prosecutors had requested. “This was the most disingenuous and unfair thing I’ve seen,” said lawyer Natalie Jackson. Benjamin Crump, another family lawyer, added that “it was devastating that [Zimmerman] got to give a self-serving apology to help get him a bond. Why is everybody protecting George Zimmerman?” The $150,000 bond means that Zimmerman’s supporters will only have to put up 10 percent, or $15,000, in order to spring him while he faces charges of second-degree murder for shooting the 17-year-old in an Orlando-area subdivision on Feb. 26. Zimmerman could be out in a few days, said his lawyer, Mark O’Mara. George’s dad is expecting to take out a second mortgage to raise the cash. Lester barred Zimmerman from keeping guns if he is bailed out, and set a 7 p.m.-to-6 a.m. curfew. Zimmerman also surrendered his passport, though he may be allowed to live outside Florida because of concerns for his safety. O’Mara said Zimmerman was speaking from the heart when he made his courtroom mea culpa yesterday. “He had always wanted to acknowledge what happened that day,” O’Mara said. “I was hoping that it could be accomplished in a private way. We weren’t afforded that opportunity.” O’Mara said Zimmerman decided to speak after hearing Martin’s mom, Sybrina Fulton, tell reporters she wanted to hear from him, according to CNN. “He didn’t want to defend himself. He didn’t want to discuss the facts of the case. He heard the request of the family, and he wanted to respond to it,” O’Mara said according to the CNN. Legal experts said that a suspect saying “sorry” at a bail hearing was highly unusual. But Zimmerman’s careful wording ensured that his apparent apology wasn’t an admission of guilt, they said.
