I feel like I’ve had such a hard time sharing my love life that now I’m a little bit more reserved on that,” Kim told MTV News. While Kim may not want to talk about Kanye, her younger sister Khloe has no problems discussing their relationship, revealing that the rapper has brought out the star’s “wild side.” We don’t believe you girl. Justice is going to get you George. The State of Florida has charged George Zimmerman with murdering Trayvon Martin. But that might not be the end of his legal problems: According to WFTV, an affliate of ABC in Orlando, Zimmerman may soon be charged with a hate crime by the FBI: WFTV has learned charges against George Zimmerman could be getting more serious. State prosecutors said Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him, so the FBI is now looking into charging him with a hate crime. FBI investigators are actively questioning witnesses in the retreat at the Twin Lakes neighborhood, seeking evidence for a possible federal hate crime charge. WFTV notes that “if Zimmerman is charged and found guilty of a federal hate crime involving murder, he could face the death penalty.” FBI officials confirm to ABC News that the investigation is ongoing but say the “hammer won’t be dropped” anytime soon. Most of the evidence against Zimmerman has yet to be disclosed. Late yesterday, Florida prosecution delivered 67 CDs of evidence against Zimmerman to his attorney. Under Florida law, most of it should be available to the public soon. Some people believe if Zimmerman is found guilty, life in prison seems right. But the death penalty only magnifies heinous crimes by killing again. Divorce season is truly underway folks… Barry Sanders and his wife are NOT playing nice in their divorce — the couple is butting heads over EVERY conceivable point of contention … including money and custody … TMZ has learned. The NFL legend filed for divorce from his TV anchor wife Lauren Campbell-Sanders back in February … but proceedings hit a rough patch because the two couldn’t agree on how to divvy up their stuff. According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ … Barry and Lauren recently went to a mediator to help work out their issues … but it was a total failure. The docs show the two are still battling over all 5 major issues in any divorce — custody, parenting time, spousal support, child support and property. The judge has now ordered take a 2nd shot at settling their beef before resorting to a full-blown messy, expensive trial. The two were married back in 2000 and have 3 minor children together. Considering he turns 4 next month, don’t you think it’s about TIME ? The young mom who sparked a media storm breastfeeding her 3-year-old son on the cover of Time magazine is opening up about the controversial photo. Jamie Lynne Grumet, 26, appeared on NBC’s “Today” show on Friday to discuss the cover, which shows her casually nursing her toddler Aram, who stares straight into the camera while he stands on a wooden chair. “I do understand why Time chose this picture, because it did create such a media craze … to get the dialogue talking,” Grumet said. The ensuing controversy focused on attachment parenting – the topic of Time’s cover story – particularly extended breastfeeding. Grumet explains that she was breastfed until she was 6-years-old and cites it as the reason she and her mother have a close bond. Dr. Bill Sears, who developed the attachment parenting theory, also appeared on “Today” with Grumet. While both are advocates of the controversial parenting technique – which also includes co-sleeping, or letting children sleep in their parent’s beds – Grumet admits it’s not for everyone. “You need to do what’s best for your own baby and your family,” she says. And not all of the criticism is coming from people against attachment parenting, Grumet notes. “I understand some of the breast-feeding advocates are actually upset about this,” she said on “Today.” Mommyish.com blogger Shawna Cohen, who says she practices some attachment parenting principles, wrote that she was disappointed in the Time cover. “It angers me because it portrays AP moms as being totally extreme,” she wrote in a blog post. “And in most cases, that couldn’t be further from the truth.” Even celebrities chimed in – including new mom Alyssa Milano. “Time, no! You missed the mark!” the actress wrote on Twitter. “You’re supposed to be making it easier for breastfeeding moms. Your cover is exploitative and extreme.” Grumet explains that the cover didn’t adequately demonstrate the nurturing side of attachment parenting. “This isn’t how we breastfeed at home,” she says. “It’s more of a cradling, nurturing situation.” Grumet, who has one other 5-year-old son, says she hopes to stop breastfeeding Aram, who turns 4 next month, sometime in the next year. Clearly TIME knew what they were doing with the controversial cover. And can you really blame them when subscriptions are probably in the dumps (believe us, they’ve been stalking us for a renewal). But we are happy to hear that three-year-old Aram isn’t really standing on a stool while he gnaws on his Mommy’s milk carriers. Finally justice for Jennifer Hudson and her family! According to breaking news by TMZ : William Balfour has been found GUILTY of murdering three members of Jennifer Hudson’s family. The verdict was handed down moments ago after two days of deliberations. Balfour was convicted of 1st degree murder in the deaths of Jennifer’s mom Darnell Donerson, her brother Jason Hudson, and nephew Julian King. Balfour was also convicted of home invasion and residential burglary. Jennifer Hudson was present in court when the verdict was read. 31-year-old Balfour stands convicted of the triple murder after allegedly flying into a blind and jealous rage in 2008 — over a balloon gift for Julia Hudson, Balfour’s ex and Jennifer’s sister. Prosecutors say Balfour thought the gift was from Julia’s new boyfriend and he snapped. He faces life in prison. Today seems like a long time coming for Jennifer Hudson and the rest of her family. They have all had to go through such a traumatic and sad ordeal with the murder and trial. We just hope the healing process can begin now that William Balfour has been found guilty. Bullied Gay Student “Dynasty” Expelled From School For Firing Stun Gun Here is an update to the story involving a gay student who brought a stun gun to school to protect himself from bullies: A gay student who said he fired a stun gun in the air at school when bullies threatened him has been expelled, according to the school district. Darnell “Dynasty” Young, a junior at Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, may return to school in the district on Jan. 7, 2013, Indianapolis Public Schools said Tuesday in an e-mail statement. Young, 17, said bullies hounded him daily. The harassment escalated on April 16, when a group surrounded him at school and threatened to beat him up, according to the Indianapolis Star. Young took the stun gun, which he had stashed in his backpack for a few weeks, and fired it off in the air. The students dispersed, but within minutes, school police had arrested Young, 17. “My point was not to hurt anybody … the purpose was to back them off. I didn’t know what else to do,” he told msnbc’s NewsNation on Monday. The district said it had accepted the decision of an examiner, who presided over Young’s hearing last week, to expel him. “While the district does not condone bullying, it also does not allow weapons to be brought on our school campuses for any reason. Students who violate this rule will be held accountable,” Mary Louise Bewley, director of the district’s Office of School and Community Relations, said in the e-mail statement. When reached by phone on Tuesday, Young declined to comment. His mother, Chelisa Grimes, said she couldn’t believe her son had been expelled. “They really kicked him out,” she told the newspaper. Principal Larry Yarrell earlier said the school had tried to look into the bullying reports, but Young was not always able to identify all of those who had harassed him. He said they had interviewed staff and students, and he had also recommended that Young “tone down” his accessories. Carolyn Laub, Executive Director of the Gay-Straight Alliance Network, denounced the district’s decision. “Dynasty, like many other lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender young people, was pushed out of school by an administration that failed to keep him safe and by school discipline policies that remove students instead of resolve the problem,” Laub said in an e-mail statement. “When schools use a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to school discipline, they unfortunately reinforce an environment of fear and punishment and fail to create a climate of inclusion, safety, and respect for all students.” What do you guys think…should they have expelled Dynasty??? Via NY Times: STEUBENVILLE, Ohio — This is the land of die-hard Democrats — mill workers, coal miners and union members. They have voted party line for generations, forming a reliable constituency for just about any Democrat who decides to run for office. But when it comes to President Obama, a small part of this constituency balks. “Certain precincts in this county are not going to vote for Obama,” said John Corrigan, clerk of courts for Jefferson County, who was drinking coffee in a furniture shop downtown one morning last week with a small group of friends, retired judges and civil servants. “I don’t want to say it, but we all know why.” A retired state employee, Jason Foreman, interjected, “I’ll say it: it’s because he’s black.” For nearly three and a half years, a black family has occupied the White House, and much of the time what has been most remarkable about that fact is how unremarkable it has become to the country. While Mr. Obama will always be known to the history books as the country’s first black president, his mixed-race heritage has only rarely surfaced in visible and explicit ways amid the tumult of a deep recession, two wars and shifting political currents. But as Mr. Obama braces for what most signs suggest will be a close re-election battle, race remains a powerful factor among a small minority of voters — especially, research suggests, those in economically distressed regions with high proportions of white working-class residents, like this one. Mr. Obama barely won this county in 2008 — 48.9 percent to John McCain’s 48.7 percent. Four years earlier, John Kerry had an easier time here, winning 52.3 percent to 47.2 percent over George W. Bush. Given Ohio’s critical importance as a swing state that will most likely be won or lost by the narrowest of margins, the fact that Mr. Obama’s race is a deal-breaker for even a small number of otherwise loyal Democrats could have implications for the final results. Obama advisers acknowledged that some areas of the state presented more political challenges than others, but said that the racial sentiment was not a major source of worry. The campaign’s strategy relies in large part on a strong performance in cities and suburban areas to make up for any falloff elsewhere among Democrats in this or other corners of Ohio. Researchers have long struggled to quantify racial bias in electoral politics, in part because of the reliance on surveys, a forum in which respondents rarely admit to prejudice. In 50 interviews in this county over three days last week, 5 people raised race directly as a reason they would not vote for Mr. Obama. In those conversations, voters were not asked specifically about race, but about their views on the candidates generally. Those who raised the issue did so of their own accord. “I’ll just come right out and say it: he was elected because of his race,” said Sara Reese, a bank employee who said she voted for Ralph Nader in 2008, even though she usually votes Democrat. Did her father, a staunch Democrat and retired mill worker, vote for Mr. Obama? “I’d have to say no. I don’t think he could do it,” she said. But the main quarrels Democratic voters here have with Mr. Obama have nothing to do with race. They include his rejection of one proposed route for the Keystone pipeline, a stance they say will harm this area, whose backbone, the Ohio River, is lined with metal mills and coal mines. Stephanie Montgomery, who is black and a graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville, said her race came up so often in her job search in this area that she developed a technique for recognizing when it was happening. The sign: when warmth on the phone turns cool in person, and “they lose eye contact with you.” “You almost need a corporate environment to get a fair shot,” she said while standing at a job fair in the Steubenville mall. She said that she did not vote for Mr. Obama in 2008 because she preferred Mr. McCain’s more conservative platform, but that Mr. Obama seemed to be a lightning rod for criticism, in part because of his race. “He’s everything they hate,” she said, referring to ultraconservatives. “An affirmative-action baby. Got the Nobel Prize without deserving it.” Many who raised race as a concern cast Mr. Obama as a flawed candidate carried to victory by blacks voting for the first time. Others expressed concerns indirectly, through suspicions about Mr. Obama’s background and questions about his faith.nn“He was like, ‘Here I am, I’m black and I’m proud,’ ” said Lesia Felsoci, a bank employee drinking a beer in an Applebee’s. “To me, he didn’t have a platform. Black people voted him in, that’s why he won. It was black ignorance.” Louis Tripodi, a baker in Steubenville who voted for Mr. Obama, blames talk radio and Republican rhetoric for encouraging such attitudes. “ ‘He’s a Muslim, he’s a socialist, he’s not born in this country,’ ” he said. “It’s got a lot to do with race.” Race has also helped Mr. Obama. It increased voter turnout among blacks in 2008, and some younger voters said it was part of why they voted for him. But now that history has been made, it is less of a pull. Discuss…
