The San Franciso 49ers QB visited Castlemont High School school in Oakland, California on Friday night. The players and coaches organized a “die in,” where the players laid with their backs on the ground and their hands in the air during the national anthem. This isn’t the first time team the team has protested during the national anthem though. A week prior to Kaepernick’s visit the team kneeled down with their fists raised in the air before the game. Lawyer Demands Eric Garner’s Children Take DNA Tests Before Settlement The lawyer for Eric Garner’s illegitimate child has demanded that the kids of Garner undergo DNA tests to prove that they are his before dividing the $7 million settlement reports The Grio : Lorraine Coyle, who represents 2-year-old Legacy Miller, made the shocking demand on Wednesday. During a hearing behind closed doors at the Staten Island Surrogate Court, Coyle demanded the tests because Garner’s name does not appear on the birth certificates for the other children. Jonathan Moore, the Garner family’s lawyer, seemed shocked by what he called an “offensive” demand. “Why do that when there’s no reason to do that?” Moore asked the New York Daily News. “Everyone knows they are his children.” “I don’t think she (Coyle) would have said this if the Garner family had a different complexion,” Moore said. Coyle has argued that she is only doing her “due diligence” because she does not believe Esaw Garner’s reasoning for leaving her husband’s name off the birth certificates. Esaw Garner said that she had kicked Eric Garner out of the hospital because he was “getting on my nerves” when she was going into labor and added that as for the birth certificates, “It didn’t make any difference to him, he knew they were his kids.”

Police have killed more than 780 people so far in 2016, according to The Guardian’s numbers. At least 193 of those people ― or about 25 percent ― were black. When fellow co-host Julie Chen asked “what can be done to stop racial profiling”, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood answered; Aisha Tyler: “We have a legacy of racism in this country and if we don’t start calling it racism then we can’t fight it.” Sheryl Underwood: “We don’t have to train the cops not to shoot white people, why you gotta train them not to shoot us?” Sheryl then broke it down while near tears about the constant danger she feels while driving while black. “First thing you gotta do, you gotta make it a hate crime,” said Underwood. “You gotta put people in jail, when you shoot somebody under the color of authority you need to lose your job and you need to lose your livelihood and you need to lose your freedom.
