“Don’t Be Scared” Episode 46 On the latest episode of “Don’t Be Scared” David, Danni and Jah chat with “The Next:15” stars Jennifer Williams and Karamo Brown. Jennifer previously of “Basketball Wives” and Karamo of “The Real World: Philadelphia”, dished on their new show that includes Claudia Jordan, New York, Laura Govan and Benzino as they strive to generate their next 15 minutes of fame. Jennifer revealed that she’s not really feeling Karamo’s buddy Claudia Jordan… “Claudia, it’s just like oil and water we don’t mix. I’m fine with that.” 36:40 and Karamo revealed that Tiffany “New York” Pollard isn’t really his cup of tea. “I feel like NeNe has a career because of her but the thing is it’s cute to watch but it’s not cute to deal with. Everyone else on the cast is sane, we all have our turn up moments but we’re not spastic.” 34:50 Later Karamo dishes on being a gay dad, Jennifer talks her ex Cisco of #LHHNY and they both reveal what fans can expect on their docu-series. Omari Hardwick Says Denzel Washington Saved Him From Being Homeless Hollywood actor Omari Hardwick says Denzel Washington and his wife Paulette helped him survive after arriving to California. The “Power” star says Oscar winning actor helped him from becoming homeless and even paid for his car when his first paid gig didn’t pan out: “I came out here without a lot of money and I met Paulette and Denzel Washingon via John David, their oldest son and I worked at Campbell Hall, the high school he went to here in the valley. And I was teaching, substitute but coaching and I moreso became his mentor and his trainer at UCLA on Saturdays. So that kind of gave me inroads to this sort of figure in Denzel and an aunt figure in Pauletta. “They perfectly and appropriately didn’t help me out. They gave me shelter when I didn’t have a place to stay or whatever but they sort of allowed me to be close enough to the family so I sort of transitioned into getting an agent…the whole thing…doing all these odd jobs. Pursuing firefighting as a backup. Pursuing it at least and on the day that I said no to the fire department was the day Spike Lee offered me my first acting gig.” Omari later admitted that he even gave his first acting check to Denzel and the actor framed it because he was so proud. Denzel and Paulette are the godparents we wished we could have too! YT

The Ghosts Of Dead Tsunami Victims Are Haunting Cab Drivers In Japan

Ghosts Haunting Cab Drivers On today’s episode of “Aww Hell Naw!,” we learn that there are ghosts with “unfinished business” running around a Japanese region, haunting taxi drivers and giving them hell. All the 18,000 people who died when a magnitude 9.0 undersea earthquake stuck off a Japanese coast and caused a tsunami in 2011 didn’t all make it to the other side. Story from The Inquisitr : On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 undersea earthquake struck off the coast of the Sendai region of Japan (about 250 miles northeast of Tokyo). The earthquake, and resulting tsunami, devastated the region – Ishinomaki (population: 145,000) in particular – and left over 18,000 people dead. Tohoku Gakuin University sociology researcher Yuka Kudo interviewed over 100 Ishinomaki cab drivers, asking them if they had any “unusual” experiences after the earthquake and tsunami. Most of her interview subjects got angry and refused to talk. But seven of them did speak, and what they told her is downright creepy. One driver, in his 40’s, reported picking up a ghost passenger, a man in his 20’s. When the cabbie asked his passenger his destination, the man would only point forward and say “Mount Hiyoriyama.” Once they arrived at the destination, the cabbie said, his passenger had disappeared. Another cabbie, in his 50’s, said he picked up a woman near a train station, who asked to be taken to a part of town still in ruins from the tsunami. “The area is almost empty. Is it OK?” he asked her. Shivering, she responded, “Have I died?” When he turned to speak to her, she was gone. Ms. Kudo tells Japanese newspaper Asahi Shinbun that the ghost passengers, who all took the guise of young adults, are victims of the tsunami who never got the chance to say goodbye to their loved ones. The romantic man says you don’t drag your feet when it comes to love according to CBS Local reports: In a gamble for true #love, Erica Harris married a man just seconds after they met for the first time at an airport in California, after the two randomly connected a year ago on Instagram. The long-distance relationship between Harris and her new husband, Arte Vann, grew with love poems and songs over social media. The two lived across the country from each other, with Harris in California and Vann in New York. When they met at the Ontario International Airport for the first time on Friday, Vann got straight to the point. He proposed immediately to the woman he had only seen in photos and videos from their budding online romance. The two met in March last year after Vann posted a poem with the hashtag #7deadlysins, where Harris commented, “you had me at lust.” The two had used the same hashtags for the poetry and writing community on Instagram when the chance encounter happened. Chicago Teen Quintonio LeGrier Called 911 Three Times Before He Was Shot Do Black lives really matter ? A new recording from the tragic December police shooting that left a college student and his elderly neighbor dead show the Black teen attempted to call 911 three times, only to be be hung up on by a dispatcher. The New York Times writes that 19-year-old Quintonio LeGrier called 911 at 4a.m. on December 26, 2015. The helpless teen didn’t give identifying information, so the impatient dispatcher hung up on him. “Someone is threatening my life,” then pleaded for an officer to be sent, as the dispatcher continued to seek his last name. “There’s an emergency!” Mr. LeGrier said. The dispatcher answered: “O.K., if you can’t answer the questions I’m going to hang up.” “I need the police!” Mr. LeGrier said. “Terminating the call,” the dispatcher responded. Chicago police eventually responded to the call and fatally shot LeGrier, and his neighbor, a 55-year-old grandmother who just answered the front door. Police later admitted her death was an “accident” by them So, ask yourself. Do Black lives matter??

Black excellence , opulence, decadence… Fox Searchlight Buys “The Birth Of A Nation” For $17.5 Million Actor Nate Parker is making history with his forthcoming Nat Turner biopic. Parker’s directorial debut “The Birth Of A Nation” not only received a standing ovation from an awe struck audience, bit $17.5 million from Fox Searchlight (the biggest deal in Sundance history) to bring it to theaters. The Wall Street Journal reports: Less than 24 hours after its roaring arrival at the Sundance Film Festival, “The Birth of a Nation” has made history with the biggest deal in the festival’s history. Fox Searchlight has acquired world-wide rights to the Nat Turner biopic for $17.5 million — a whopping amount that reflects the movie’s critical and commercial prospects and the crowded field of bidders hitting festivals now. It was clear from the movie’s premiere that it would go for big money. The audience gave the movie an extended standing ovation through the closing credits, and Nate Parker, who directed, produced, wrote and stars in the film, left the auditorium as Sundance’s favorite son. Fox Searchlight’s winning bid signals a definite interest in Oscars for the film. The specialty division of Twentieth Century Fox purchased “Brooklyn” at Sundance last year, and the immigrant drama was the only Sundance movie to land a best picture nomination for this year’s awards. Fox Searchlight also released the last major slavery drama, “12 Years a Slave,” which won best picture in 2014. (Fox’s parent company, 21st Century Fox Inc., was until mid-2013 part of the same company as The Wall Street Journal.)
