To celebrate its impending release, the Oxnard native is looking to do something special for the people in the city he grew up in. After initially teasing something to arrive the day the after Oxnard is scheduled to drop, Andy officially announced today that he’ll be hosting his own carnival with the release of the new record. Boasting a fun time that includes free rides, free food, free games with prizes, and a free shuttle bus to the event from downtown Oxnard itself, Andy’s Oxnard Carnival will take place this Saturday (November 17) at the Performing Arts and Convention Center in Oxnard. This all-ages event will take place from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., and of course, Anderson .Paak himself is scheduled to perform in some capacity. It’s not yet clear if there’s anyone else scheduled to tmake an appearance, but knowing how many friends .Paak has (and how many of them are featured on the album), there’s bound to be plenty of surprises. Cole, B.J. the Chicago Kid, Q-Tip, Snoop Dogg, Pusha-T, Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar, and Kadhja Bonet among others.

To Host Netflix Music Competition Show Cardi B ain’t done gettin’ bags and we’re pretty sure that Nicki Minaj can’t try to block this one. According to The Hollywood Reporter Big Momma Belcalis will be joined by Chance The Rapper and T.I. as judges on Netflix new music competition show Rhythm + Flow set to air in 2019. The show will be produced by John Legend and his company Get Lifted Film Co. Netflix appears to making a real push towards other types of programming as they have already signed up for a cooking competition show called The Final Table . No word about the show’s format just yet, but when you have personalities like these three, you know there has to be some reality TV shenanigans afoot. We’re here for it. Are you?

Instead of putting “Woman of the Year” in plain text, “Man of the Year” is printed with “Man” crossed out and replaced with “Woman” in quotations. Abloh, the man behind Off-White and Louis Vuitton, designed Serena’s US Open tutu dress and he often uses quotation marks on his Off-White designs. However, some people on Twitter didn’t grasp this context and they believed the quotations used for Serena were insensitive to ridicule she’s received in the past. Serena has constantly been labeled a man or unhuman-like for her athletic skills and body type. Serena is the magazine’s sole Woman of the Year, which doesn’t make matters any better. The Men of the Year include Michael B. Jordan, Henry Golding, and Jonah Hill. Serena has yet to speak publically on the cover, but she’s been candid in the past about ridicule she’s faced about her gender. Last year, in a reddit post , Williams said: “I’ve been called man because I appeared outwardly strong. It has been said that I use drugs (No, I have always had far too much integrity to behave dishonestly in order to gain an advantage). It has been said I don’t belong in Women’s sports — that I belong in Men’s — because I look stronger than many other women do. (No, I just work hard and I was born with this badass body and proud of it).” She addressed the issue some more back in May when she told Harper’s Bazaar , “People would say I was born a guy, all because of my arms, or because I’m strong. I was different to Venus: She was thin and tall and beautiful, and I am strong and muscular — and beautiful, but, you know, it was just totally different.” What do you think of the GQ cover? As previously reported their niece Alaina Housley was the youngest victim of the mass shooting and her family was devastated to get the news. Now Tamera, Adam and Alaina’s father Eric Housley are speaking with CBS about the tragedy and pledging to use her death to spark a change. Tamera: “Yes, there needs to be a change. But all the noise—nothing’s been done.” Adam: “If I was to walk out of here and the first thing I was to say was, you know, ‘Gun control,’ guess what? Half the country (snaps fingers), [conversation] ends.” Tamera: “And we don’t want the conversation to end.” Adam: “It can’t this time.” They also revealed that they’ve been brutally bullied on social media over Alaina’s death… Adam: “You should see of the tweets we got after Alaina died. I got one that said, ‘You deserve it, you worked at Fox News.’ It got liked by about 78 people.” but they’re moving forward ahead of her funeral. Tamera: “She wouldn’t want this to happen to anyone else.” Tamera’s since shared one of the many harsh tweets she’s received and she’s imploring people to stop. “If you have love in your heart. You don’t talk this way. You obviously missed the message. And don’t you ever judge the death of my niece.” People are sick. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Housleys, this has to be truly devastating.
