Source: The Washington Post / Getty University Of Virginia Basketball Coach Declines Raise Following NCAA Win Tony Bennett, the University of Virginia men’s basketball coach, led the Cavaliers to their first appearance in the Final Four in 35 years and on to win their first NCAA Championship title in program history this year. But when he was offered a raise for such an amazing accomplishment, Bennett rejected it. “President Ryan and [Athletic Director] Carla were very gracious in what they offered to me as a potential contract, but I have a very good contract,” said Bennett, in an article published on UVA’s website. “I have more than enough, and if there are ways that this can help out the athletic department, the other programs and coaches, by not tying up so much [in men’s basketball], that’s my desire…I have more than I need. I’m blessed beyond what I deserve.” Not only that, the coach also donated $500,000 toward a career-training initiative for current and former UVA men’s basketball players. Bennett went on to say that he consulted with his wife, Laurel, before making the decision to turn the money down. “She’s always said, ‘Is there something we can do that can make a difference?’ That’s been on her heart and mind, and we’ve talked about it a lot,” he revealed. According to an estimate from USA Today, Bennett made approximately $4.15 million last season. This includes his base salary of $525,000, $1.175 million in performance incentives for the team’s 2018-2019 season, $2.5 million in annual “supplemental compensation,” which typically includes compensation for a university’s use of a coach’s likeness or image, and a longevity bonus of $1 million for staying with the team. Though it’s commendable that Bennet turned down a raise, these aforementioned numbers already put him among some of the highest-paid college coaches in the country. According to CNBC, the top 10 highest-paid NCAA basketball coaches all make over $3 million while the highest-paid coach, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, makes around $9 million per year. “Laurel and I are in a great spot, and in the past I’ve had increases in my contract,” said Bennett. “We just feel a great peace about where we’re at, all that’s taken place, and how we feel about this athletic department and this community and this school. Source: Madiha Ali / Getty Man Opens Fire After AN Argument At A Youth Football Game According to CNN , a woman and young girl suffered non-life threatening injuries after a shooting outside of a youth football game. A group of parents were allegedly arguing near a youth football game at Eastern Hills Elementary School when the son of one of the parents arrived with a handgun and started shooting . A woman on the scene was shot in the leg and the girl was grazed by a bullet on her back. As of this writing, police are still searching for the person they believe was the shooter. A football player who was stretching for the game told WFAA he saw a man shoot a gun, then take off running. “I ran, and they said ‘Duck!’ so I ducked on the floor,” 11-year-old Adrian Moreno said. “I was laying. It was scary.”

Recently, he was doing better and walking a straight line, even getting cast for the upcoming season of WE tv’s Marriage Bootcamp with his estranged wife, Jovan “Tookie” Brown. Apparently, the producers paid no attention to the details of his life or struggles whatsoever, and things in the house didn’t end up going as planned. According to reports from TMZ , the production and show team had the Bootcamp house stocked with every alcoholic drink imaginable. That’s when sources report the house was having a nightly turn up and Kurupt said screw it and decided to join in. While everyone else was drinking in moderation, Kurupt downed everything he could. That’s when things when downhill, according to reports. Sources close to production tell TMZ … Kurupt turned up with the rest of the cast inside the ‘MBC’ house, and the rapper drank so much he ended up needing medical treatment. We’re told Kurupt missed 2 days of filming while he was hospitalized from his boozy night. With money on the line and product deadlines approaching, as the house is rented and crew has to be paid, the higher-ups involved on the show decided to remove all alcohol from the house and the show altogether. This is sure to have some sort of impact on the vibe between the stars in the house, but it’s clearly for the best. Just imagine trying to save your marriage and being forced to talk about uncomfortable situations every day while not being able to have one drink to let off some steam. Probably sounds like for some couples, but not the same hell as someone who’s battling alcoholism . Just last year, his wife expressed disappointment with Kurupt during their super messy public feud and rumored divorce. We wish Kurupt the best and are glad to see he’s out the hospital and back on the job to get his wifey back!

This joint tour with Blink-182 seems to be a troubled one for Wayne, as this isn’t the first time he’s has run into troubles and possible cancellations. This time, the rapper is telling fans that police and the Ritz-Carlton are responsible. Weezy took to social media to explain that he wouldn’t be performing on Saturday night after being kicked out of the Ritz-Carlton hotel in St. Louis. “Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik’d out the Ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide,” the rapper tweeted, breaking news to fans. “Tht y’all f w me out here. He later clarified that he would not drop out of the tour and said, “I’m having too much fun with my bros.” Later that same month, he canceled his Tampa performance last-minute.
