In the immediate aftermath of terrorists coordinating multiple attacks in Paris on Friday night, killing over 120 people in the process, countless celebrities took to Twitter and sent along their prayers and well wishes. But not Rob Lowe. The actor, who currently stars on Fox sitcom The Grinder, took a far more controversial approach to the heinous killings. “Oh, NOW France closes its borders,” Lowe Tweeted yesterday, adding the hashtag #Hollande as a reference to French president Francois Hollande. The politician declared a state of emergency and closed off his country’s borders in the wake of the ongoing massacre on Friday. Lowe later added, regarding Hollande’s speech: “This is either the worst translation of an important speech ever, or one of the worst ever given.” In a televised address to the country, Hollande (who was evacuated at halftime of a soccer match after explosions went off nearby) said: “As I speak, terrorist attacks of unprecedented proportions are underway in the Paris area. There are dozens killed, there are many injured. It is a horror “What the terrorists want is to scare us and fill us with dread.
