Li-lo Is A No-Show

At least one Lohan turned up in court this morning…unfortunately just not the one the judge was requesting. We were there at the LA court house, as was Michael Lohan but his daughter Lindsay, who’d been ordered to show for a probation progress report hearing, was not. She’s stuck in Cannes, France, claiming her passport was stolen and she has no way home until it’s replaced. Judge Marsha Revel though didn’t seem impressed, issuing a bench warrant for Li-lo’s arrest and setting bail at $100,000. Lindsay can stay free until the next court hearing as long as she does not drink any alcohol, wears a SCRAM bracelet and submits to random drugs testing once a week. Dad Michael spoke afterwards via his lawyer saying he agreed with the decision.

Warrant Issued For Arrest of Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan is officially a wanted woman. While she parties away in France, a Los Angeles judge formally revoked Lohan’s probation, set her bail at $100,000 and issued a bench warrant for her arrest. “This isn’t just a DUI case,” Judge Marsha Revel said. “There’s reason for the court to be concerned. She has a history of not keeping scheduled appointments.” “I couldn’t be more clear about the priority of this case,” she added. “She should’ve made sure she didn’t go to Cannes or she should be back two days early.” “She’s not here. There’s really no valid excuse .” Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, tried to defend her client, saying the star now has her passport and will fly home as soon as she can get a flight. Holley also attempted to convince the court that Lohan’s passport was stolen , for real, and wasn’t just a really terrible excuse to blow off the DUI hearing. The prosecutors were not as convinced . “I’d like to see the ticket that she purchased,” said Deputy D.A. Danette Meyers. “I’d like to see some good-faith evidence that she was going to be here.” As for Revel, she wasn’t taking any of Holley’s excuses, either, and said there was probable cause to believe that Lohan was in violation of her probation. Basically, if Lindsay Lohan doesn’t post the $100,000 bail, she’s going to jail. If she does, there are still some pretty intense restrictions placed on her a$$ . She’ss been ordered to not drink any alcohol at all until her next hearing. She will also have to start accessorizing with an alcohol-sniffing SCRAM device. Yup, ankle monitor style! Until her next hearing, she will also be subjected to random drug testing at least once per week, as determined by the Santa Monica probation office. The exact reason for Lohan’s likely probation violation is failure to adhere to the judge’s orders to attend one alcohol education course per week. “Actions speak louder than words,” Revel said. “I warned her.” As for how, exactly, Lohan will enter into police custody, Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department spokesman Steve Whitmore said it may not be drama-free. “This individual will be treated like anyone else,” he said, adding that it was possible some cuff-bearing officers could even be waiting for her at LAX! “At the airport, that is potentially a possibility.” Meanwhile, Holley continued the difficult task of defending Lohan’s behavior after the hearing, offering up more excuses for the ill-advised trip abroad. “As you know… it’s her job. The fact of the matter is, she has an excellent report from the alcohol program. She’s done 10 of the 13 classes she’s supposed to do.” “The fact is, she intended to be here today… her passport was stolen.” So we’ve heard. Keep telling yourself that, Shawn.

Lindsay Lohan Points Fingers, Denies Responsibility

Surprise, surprise: Lindsay Lohan is blaming everyone but herself for the current legal predicament she’s in. The question is whether she’ll pay a price for it. Lindsay will be a no-show in court this morning because, she claims, her passport was stolen , making it impossible for her to fly from Cannes, France, to L.A. She’s due there for a probation progress report hearing in her DUI case – which has been scheduled for a long time – and which could land her behind bars. Sources say Linds blames everyone, even her alcohol ed instructor , who she says made it “uncomfortable” for her to attend the required number of classes. Her explanation there? The instructor was “texting that she wanted to hang out with her.” As for why she’s stuck in France? There’s a list of peeps to blame. Lindsay Lohan herself? Not on that list! Lindsay Lohan: Stuck in Cannes, and in denial . Latest intel suggests Lohan’s likely return date is Friday, at which point she’ll not only have missed today’s court date, but will still be three classes short of compliance. The best she can hope for is a judge who thinks late is better than never and doesn’t put a warrant out. She may give Lindsa chance to surrender herself next week. As for whether she violated the terms of her probation, if the D.A.’s office thinks she needs to do time and the judge agrees, there may be little wiggle room there. It was possible the judge could have blamed Lindsay’s lapses on miscommunication between the court and the alcohol ed program, but blowing off a court date? That could make it hard for the court to take pity on the train wreck. Lindsay Lohan belongs in …

Lindsay Lohan Faces Arrest Warrant For Missing Court Date

Actress’ passport reportedly stolen in Cannes, preventing her from flying to L.A. By Gil Kaufman Lindsay Lohan Photo: Scott Wintrow/ Getty Images An arrest warrant could be issued on Thursday (May 20) in Los Angeles for troubled actress Lindsay Lohan if she misses a mandatory court appearance for a progress report on her probation stemming from two 2007 arrests. According to Los Angeles’ ABC7, Lohan lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley said her client is stuck in France because her passport was stolen while she was attending the Cannes Film Festival. The actress has been photographed attending parties in Cannes, Holley said Lohan had attempted to board a plane to L.A. on Tuesday but was turned away without her passport. The lawyer said that Lohan has an appointment on Thursday to visit the American embassy to apply for a replacement passport. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel had ordered the 23-year-old actress to appear in a Beverly Hills courtroom for the progress hearing. In accordance with standard procedure for missed court dates, a bench warrant could be issued if Lohan does not make it. Lohan has been on probation since pleading guilty in August 2007 to two misdemeanor counts of being under the influence of cocaine, no contest to two counts of driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08 percent and one count of reckless driving. Her probation was extended for another year in October after Lohan struggled to comply with court-mandated terms of her sentence, and prosecutors have warned that she faces jail time if she violated probation again. In February, Revel said Lohan was making “good progress” completing her probation. The Associated Press reported that no court records indicate that the “Mean Girls” star has ever failed a drug or alcohol test. Numerous reports have surfaced in the past week on sites such as TMZ claiming that Lohan has not completed the mandated number of alcohol-education classes. But in a video interview with Hollywood.tv posted online Monday, Lohan said she’s “been in compliance more than ever” with the terms of her probation and could complete the remaining classes in “about two and a half weeks.” Do you think Lindsay Lohan has a shot at a career comeback after setbacks like this? Li-lo A No Show?

Is Lindsay Lohan risking a jail time? It looks like Li-lo won’t be in court for a Thursday morning showdown with an LA judge who’s already warned that if she’s a no-show, she’ll risk going to the po-po. Her excuse? She’s stuck in Cannes. Apparently someone stole the Mean Girls passport during her trip there for the annual film festival and now she will most likely not be making it back to LA in time for her mandatory court hearing. According to reports Judge Marsha Revel has said that she will issue a warrant for Lindsay’s arrest if the actress doesn’t show up at 8:30am on Thursday and since Linds will be meeting with the US Embassy in France at around that same time…it’s not looking good. Lindsay claims she actually went to the airport Tuesday and tried boarding a plane back to LA without a passport but was denied.

Lindsay Lohan May Face Jail

According to the media reports, “Mean Girls” actress Lindsay Lohan was ordered to attend a probation hearing which may lead to jail time for reportedly missing alcohol education classes imposed for a 2007 drunken driving case. As per court authority, Beverly Hills Superior Court judge Marsha Revel had ordered the troubled actress to attend a progress review in person on Thursday. An order was issued by the court when the celebrity website TMZ.com reported that the 23-year-old has attended only 10 of 13 alcohol education classes required of her and spent months partying. Judicial sources says that the judge could decide to put her behind bars if what the website reported was true. Actress Linday Lohan is in France to attend the Cannes Film Festival and her attorney has not made comment yet. She was arrested and sued because of drunk driving, reckless driving and driving under the influence of cocaine in 2007. Lindsay Lohan was placed on three (3) years probation and ordered to complete an 18-month alcohol education program. Last October, the Superior Court extended Lohan’s three (3) years probation for another year and warned her to get serious about the alcohol program. She was sentenced for 24 hours in jail but spent just 84 minutes behind bars because of overcrowding in Los Angeles prisoners.
