Lana Del Rey sang at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s rehearsal dinner , performing her hit “Young and Beautiful,” which is reportedly a favorite of Kim’s. No surprise that Kim loves a ditty about outer beauty, what is surprising is that despite rumors that Lana received a massive payday fro the event, the singer claims she actually performed for free! Lana Del Rey Talks Kimye Wedding TMZ cameras caught up with Lana at LAX recently where she politely explained that there’s no truth to reports that she received $2.8 million to singe for Kimye.  “I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding,” says Lana in the clip above. So if you’re getting hitched in the near future, just become “friends” with Lana on Facebook and then send her a request to perform on your big day. Hurry, before she changes her mind! Despite her graciousness in agreeing to jet all over Europe for the Kimye wedding, Lana did not perform for Mr. and Mrs West’s first dance as a married couple.  That honor went to John Legend who performed his sentimental hit “All of Me” for the occasion. So yeah, not one, but two of the biggest recording artists in the world crooned for the Kimye wedding weekend for no other reason than they wanted to honor their friends. The 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover, featuring Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal, was hailed as a hit across the nation. LeAnn Rimes was apparently a big fan. The singer showed off her own amazing figure when she posted a cheeky bikini photo via Twitter on Monday. Captioned “Models in training @SInow sequel #happymemorialdayboys #wetryhard #having fun,” Rimes and two pals created a lighthearted remake: With LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian ‘s VH1 reality show set to begin soon, she is all smiles, and with good reason. At least when it comes to her figure. “Workouts done!” Rimes tweeted to trainer Ilyse Baker earlier in the day. “Every inch of me is drenched!! @ilysebaker time for sun & a bikini!” Everything LeAnn does seems to be controversial and scrutinized lately, but there’s no mistaking her vocal talent, which she also showed off this weekend. She spent Sunday at the 2014 Indy 500 with husband Cibrian. Rimes sang the national anthem for a quarter of a million people, and was taken aback. “The horns they played right before the NA moved me to tears. It’s going down this Sunday on Game of Thrones!  The fight of the 15th Century between Oberyn “The Red Viper” Martell and Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane to decide the fate of Tyrion “Pour Me Another” Lannister. This showdown will make T.I. vs. Floyd Mayweather  look like a septa’s sewing lesson and we’ve got all the facts you need to help you pick a winner and fleece your friends for every gold dragon they’re worth: Size: We think it’s safe to say Gregor’s got the obvious advantage here. Portrayed by Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, aka the world’s second strongest man , Sandor didn’t earn the nickname “The Mountain” because he likes to go climbing. No, Bjornsson goes about 6’9″, 420 pounds, meaning that Sandor may be the biggest dude Westeros has to offer. If we were in Oberyn’s shoes we’d be looking for some medieval HGH about now. Edge: Gregor Swordsmanship : Well, he messed up some Lannisters early in season 4, but we haven’t really seen Oberyn do much fighting. Not a good sign. Gregor, on the other hand recently disemboweled some peasants with about as much difficulty as if he were shelling pistachios. Edge: Gregor Intimidation Factor: Yup, another no-brainer for Mount Clegane. This guy’s brother, the Hound, goes all jelly-spined at the mere mention of his name. If it comes down to a judges’ decision, the fact that he doesn’t rely on monosyllabic grunts to communicate could work to Oberyn’s advantage. People say a lot of things about the Mountain, but “he’s a great conversationalist” isn’t one of them. Of course, if we were  going into a fight to the death, we wouldn’t want to be relying on our way with words, but hey, it’s something! Edge: Oberyn So there you have it. You cannot be f***ing serious … Oscar Grant’s Friends Settle Lawsuit With BART For $175,000 Via AP Five friends of Oscar Grant, the man who was fatally shot by a San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit police officer, have reached a deal to settle a federal lawsuit against the agency, officials said. Jack Bryson Jr., Nigel Bryson, Michael Greer, Carlos Reyes and Fernando Anicete Jr. will split $175,000 as part of the settlement reached late last month, their attorney John Burris said Tuesday. The BART board approved the settlement May 8, BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost said Wednesday. The men filed a federal civil rights lawsuit for $1.5 million in 2009 claiming excessive force and illegal detainment. Burris said Tuesday that the men are relieved the case is over. “This closes a very traumatic and tragic chapter for these young men,” he said. “Unfortunately, they will never get over witnessing their friend’s death.” Trost said the settlement closes the case for a “considerably smaller amount compared to what would have been a long and costly trial if allowed to move forward.” The five men were detained on BART’s Fruitvale Station platform in Oakland along with Grant, who was shot and killed by then-BART police officer Johannes Mehserle. If you’ll remember… Grant’s mother, Wanda Johnson, and Grant’s young daughter, Tatiana, also received financial settlements from BART totaling $2.8 million as a result of the shooting. That brings Oscar Grant’s life value to a grand total of just under $3 million. At the risk of equating different people’s pain and suffering, isn’t it sad that these 5 young men, who actually WITNESSED their friend being gunned down, were only awarded such a paltry settlement?
