Justin Bieber & His Stupid Hair Cover Mad Magazine

Justin Bieber is on the cover of the April 2011 issue of Mad Magazine .    The Usual Gang of Idiots at Mad magazine have parodied Justin Bieber.  Coverboy Alfred E. Neuman  is disguised as  The Biebs and sports the haircut that made Justin famous.  Justin has recently gotten rid of the do and now has a cooler one.  Bieber Fever is out of control.  Justin has nail polish, trading cards, commercials, a book and a new movie just released. Now by virtue of being parodied by America’s number one satirical magazine has truly arrived. The tag line of the magazine – all in great fun of course 🙂 reads: “His stupid hair, his dumb book, his terrible move and his awful music.” Mad’s editor-in-chief said : “That was probably the highlight of his career and being on the cover of MAD is the lowlight. We like to do what we call Zeitgeist covers. When we found that his movie was debuting just about the same time we would be coming with the issue, we knew he’d be all over the place. He’ll hate it and buy every copy, and it will be a sellout. Or, conversely, Bieber won’t even notice and we’ll probably sell three copies of the issue. Every time we put one of these young teen stars on the covers — this goes back to New Kids on the Block — we do get a ton of mail from prepubescent girls. The weird thing is I happened to be looking through old issues and we did a piece on Elvis, too. So that must be hardwired into the DNA of prepubescent girls. When somebody attacks, they do the same. The magazine has changed quite a bit. We take ads, which was a trade-off for the color. Certainly the humor has been ramped up as society has been ramped up. MAD just reflects the signs of the times. It’s a great time because there’re so many whack jobs for us to go after. The lunatic fringe is alive and well from the right to the left. There’s never a shortage of material.” I love the cover!  What about you?  Thoughts? Tweet

Justin Bieber Booed In New York Due To Overexposure

Justin Bieber 16-year-old singer, Justin Bieber, is becoming overexposed. His management company is not doing a good job of balancing his public exposure, as he was heckled and “loudly booed” last night, at a Knicks basketball game in New York’s Madison Square Garden. It is a classic management mistake. Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez A few months ago, in the October 22. 2010 article Justin Bieber’s Mom Suing Mad , the Judiciary Report warned this would happen, due to the extensive publicity and marketing drive behind the young star. He is simply out there too much and a backlash has ensued. This is not a good way to build a career and his management has failed him in this regard. He is also surrounded by very unsavory people at his record and management company, which is going to lead to disaster if his parents do not intervene. Justin Bieber’s “Baby” (2010) Bieber’s music is also quite derivative, due to the team singer, Usher Raymond, has assembled at his company RBMG, to work with the young singer. Bieber’s debut single “Baby” is co-written by producer and chronic copyright infringer, Terius Nash (The Dream) and his wife, singer, Christina Milian. The song is very similar to a preexisting, platinum #2 single “Baby, Baby, Baby” by fellow Atlanta residents, TLC, which was released in 1992 and written by Babyface and Daryl Simmons. Usher is signed to Babyface’s former label LaFace. TLC’s “Baby” (1992) Both songs have the world “Baby” as the title, contain very similar choruses that consist of the line “Baby, baby, baby, oh” repeated in rapid succession and are about the exact same thing. Ironically, Usher Raymond, dated Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas of TLC. The Dream and his wife, Christina Milian, are currently in divorce court fighting over the rights to a song that truly is not their own. Teen Heartthrob Justin Bieber Hits The Hawks Game Looking Like A Smurf

He may only be 16 years old, but Justin Bieber isn’t afraid to experiment with style and fashion. And this was clearly evident when the teen heartthrob attended a basketball game in Atlanta yesterday. Wearing a blue hat, yellow jacket, and big black-framed glasses, the Baby star looked just like a character from the Smurf cartoons. But at this point, Bieber could step out dressed as Big Bird and he would still be besieged by ecstatic teenage girls. The singer’s hairdresser Vanessa Price recently revealed that he spends $750 every time he gets a haircut. Talking in the February issue of Vanity Fair, Justin revealed that he hadn’t even wanted his trademark old haircut in the first place. His new lighter fringe was was first envisioned and cut by stylist Vanessa Price, who worked on his debut album cover shoot a ear ago. However, he grew to love it and now won’t let anyone else but Price handle his hair. It was also revealed that when he did the interview in December, the pair were already planning a future new ‘do’, though Justin said he couldn’t do anything too drastic because it was his trademark. He also confessed he was aware of the website ‘Lesbians who look like Justin Bieber,’ which features women sporting Bieber hair. Justin presented the award for best animated movie at the Golden Globes last Sunday. His co-presenter was True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld.

‘Vice Guide To Everything’ Host Recalls Residential Strip Club

Ryan Duffy discusses meeting Detroit man who runs a 24-hour strip club in dead parents’ house on premiere episode. By Rya Backer Ryan Duffy Photo: Mark Metcalf/ Getty Images A lot happens on MTV’s new series “The Vice Guide to Everything.” Hosts Ryan Duffy, Thomas Morton, and Shane Smith — who also co-founded the magazine that launched the Vice brand 15 years ago — travel to places like Russia, Ghana and North Korea in search of compelling people and their stories, which they’ll share with MTV viewers on Mondays at 11 p.m. Duffy’s adventures this season include getting shot (while wearing a bulletproof jacket) in Colombia and trailing a Mafia-funded pop star in Naples, Italy, but he recently told MTV News he didn’t have to travel far for his most memorable meeting. “I will always very vividly remember meeting Jay Thunderbolt,” Duffy said about the Detroit man who was running a 24-hour all-nude strip club out of his dead parents’ house. Duffy was treated to complimentary shots, got to look through Thunderbolt’s self-defense gear and enjoyed a lap dance from his crew of willing ladies. But the host admitted that he ran up against MTV’s standards team when it came to the footage. “You could show the girl doing the flip on my lap where she put her legs up. She started to spread them, but you couldn’t show the spreading. You had to cut it right before then,” Duffy explained. “Which was fine with me, by the way, because I have a mother and a grandmother,” he added. Thunderbolt clearly made an impression on the rest of the “Vice Guide” family, too, as he was invited to the show’s New York premiere last week with his return flight booked for the next day. “The thing about Jay is he probably hasn’t left Detroit in 30 years. He hasn’t flown in, God knows how long. When we booked him a flight his first question was, ‘How many of my guns can I bring?’ His second was, ‘Could you get me a smoking seat?’ Clearly a little bit dated in his travel plans, but the next day, Jay did not get in the cab we sent to bring him to the airport, or the next cab, or the next one, or the fifth one. And we have no idea whether he ever got on a flight and went home,” Duffy lamented. “So, Jay Thunderbolt could be roaming the streets of New York right now.” “The Vice Guide to Everything” airs Mondays at 11 p.m. ET on MTV. Richie Hawtin Explains His Plastikman Alter Ego’s ‘Arkives’ Collection

‘I have this opportunity to bring that darker, even weirder sound to this new, ever-growing audience,’ he tells MTV News of digitizing his back catalog. By Adam Stewart Richi Hawtin aka Plastikman Photo: MTV News Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman alter ego feels that something is missing from our current state of dance music, and he’s doing something about it. “There are hundreds, if not thousands, of electronic-music dance tracks coming out each day, so there are black holes in its history that need to be digitized. For us in the electronic-music world, we haven’t had our Beatles [iTunes] moment yet,” said Hawtin, who just scored the #2 slot on Resident Advisor’s Top DJs of 2010 readers poll. “There’s still a lot of the electronic music history missing online.” This notion is what prompted Hawtin, under his Plastikman moniker, to release Arkives , a retrospective of the dark side of a dance-music pioneer. “Plastikman always comes back when I feel there’s something to say or there’s something missing in the scene,” Hawtin said. “I have this opportunity — or maybe even this responsibility — to bring that darker, even weirder sound to this new, ever-growing audience. “This is what I’m doing with my Arkives project,” he continued. “I’m trying to bring that stuff back, digitize it and represent it for those new fans of Hawtin or deadmau5 and say, ‘Hey, if you’re really into electronic music right now in 2010 — I don’t want to give you a history lesson, but there is some foundation that you’d probably find interesting and get in to.’ ” In a day where dance music is reaching the masses, big-room house and trance seem to reign supreme. Plastikman, however, has set out on a mission to keep the dark and sinister side of the genre alive, and in doing so, he has inspired some of the biggest names in the biz. “I love that guy!” deadmau5 told MTV News of one of his key musical influences. “He’s someone who I definitely look at for wisdom. We’re billed at a lot of the same events, and we click! We’re the two ‘hoser Canadians,’ like, in the middle of Madrid, and he’s a really good guy.” “To hear that what I’ve been doing has been working, and continues to work, gives me that power to hopefully be inspired and keep reinspiring the next generation,” Hawtin told MTV News. “I want more kids to grow up thinking that technology is just as much of an instrument as a guitar or a drum.” As founder and co-founder of Minus and Plus 8 Records, respectively, Hawtin has made an indelible mark on the industry as a producer and a technological pioneer. Not only did he develop Traktor DJ software, but he is also one of the founding fathers of online EMD retailer Beatport. Hawtin has had a hand in guiding the entire industry toward what it is today, while at the same time keeping its roots intact. “Electronic music is not pop or pop music; it’s a little bit fringe,” he said. “And I want it to be fringe in a way, a little bit just to the left side. … It’s my belief that if we help build that language and keep that foundation there, then it only opens up the possibilities for cooler things to happen.” 2011 promises to be a banner year for Hawtin, as he gears up for a whirlwind global tour. Starting with a New Year’s Eve performance at Mexico’s BPM, Hawtin then jet-sets to Spain several dates before turning around and heading back to Mexico to close out the weeklong BPM. After a rare month back in his studio in Germany, he’ll be off to Australia’s Future Music Festival and, finally, Miami in late March, where he and his camp intend to keep their shows in line with the Ultra Music Festival, not the official Winter Music Conference . “We have these moments through the year, the Electric Zoo here [in New York], the Detroit [Electronic Music] Festival, the Winter Music Conference — these are the dates we count on as DJs and as businesspeople to come and promote and have fun, and we’ve been doing that for years. And for someone to try to change that? At the end of the day, I think the electronic-music scene is a great and very strong music community, and that’s why you’ll see a great and strong community come through this with a great weekend in the end of March.”
