As we previously reported, Gucci Mane was arrested on Friday, April 8 and is being charged with a misdemeanor count of battery and violation of probation. While Gucci’s (born Radric Davis) bail is only $5,000, the wealthy Atlanta rapper has yet to post bail and remains incarcerated in the DeKalb County Jail. Hot 107.9 spoke with an officer in the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office who explained why Gucci Mane is still locked up. “The reason he’s still incarcerated is he has a probation violation and he has to go to Fulton County to answer those charges,” said Sgt. Adrian Bell, who handles media relations for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. Bell added that he does not know when Gucci will be moved to Fulton County. If you recall, Gucci’s last stint in prison was at the Fulton County Jail for a probation violation. Gucci is accused of pushing a 36-year-old woman from his vehicle as he drove down Brannen Road in DeKalb. He allegedly picked up the woman, a hair stylist, as she was standing outside South DeKalb Mall on the morning of Jan. 28, according to a police incident report. He asked her to eat breakfast with him, and she agreed, but once inside Gucci’s vehicle, the rapper told her he wanted to take her to a hotel rather than a restaurant, the report says. He offered the woman $150, but she declined and demanded to be returned to South DeKalb Mall. That’s when he reportedly shoved her out of his vehicle. An ambulance came and treated the unnamed woman for pain on the left side of her back. Allen Iverson’s sick Lamborghini is sitting in an Atlanta police impound yard … after the former NBA superstar got pulled over last night … TMZ has learned. Atlanta PD confirms Iverson was a passenger in his silver 2009 Lambo when they pulled over the ride because it had expired dealer tags. Police impounded the whip and gave A.I. a ticket. By the way, after Iverson got his belongings out of the Lambo — he slipped into another car … his friends were following in an even sicker Rolls-Royce. Oh, okay: that’s how you’re living A.I.? Get it together.

Even though we’ll be the first to agree that Gucci Mane isn’t working with a full deck of cards, this right here is pure bullsh*t!! According to TMZ , Gucci Mane has opted to check into a mental clinic instead of facing another year in jail. Rapper Gucci Mane believes he’s not mentally competent to fight prosecutors’ efforts to revoke his probation … this according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The 30-year-old rapper — real name Radric Davis — appeared in a Georgia courtroom yesterday after filing a “Special Plea of Mental Incompetency” … in which he explained he was in no state to “intelligently participate in the probation revocation hearing.” Gucci is accused of violating his probation by allegedly getting in an altercation during a November traffic stop. According to the document, the judge ordered Gucci into custody — and immediately committed the rapper into a mental health treatment facility pending an evaluation of his mental condition. We’re told Gucci is currently at the treatment facility. What part of the game is THIS, Gucci??? We know you know the difference between crazy and just plain stupid. Get your life together!!
