Game of Thrones: Which Supposedly Dead Character Will Return in Season 5?

If you haven’t seen the Game of Thrones season 4 finale , then be warned – spoilers lie ahead. Actually, even if you’re all caught up there are spoilers ahead, because based on what GoT actor Charles Dance revealed in an interview today, the fifth season may contain some surprises that none of us saw coming: 9 Shocking Game of Thrones Deaths 1. Viserys Gets Crowned Viserys was up there with King Joffrey in terms of douchebags we loved to hate. Even so, his death by molten gold is tough to watch. Dance plays ruthless badass and perennial Worst Dad Ever candidate Tywin Lannister on the series. He went out in shameful style at the end of last season – getting crossbowed to death by his least favorite son, Tyrion, while sitting on the toilet. While fans were to happy to see the vicious Tywin finally get what was coming to him, Dance says we can expect to see more of his character in season five: “I’m not completely missing out on the new series,” Dance told MTV recently. “More than that I’m not going to say…You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister is all I’ll say.” Since Tywin is deinitively killed by Tyrion in George R.R. Martin’s books, Dance’s revelation means one of two things: Either, Tywin will return in flashback form (the most likely explanation), or showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have decided to stray from their source material. It wouldn’t be the first time they did so – Weiss and Benioff’s decision not to have Catelyn Stark return as Lady Stoneheart angered plenty of GoT diehards – but having Tywin somehow return to the land of the living would certainly constitute the most major plot change they’ve made so far. Speaking of things that have pissed off fans, in other GoT news: Bran Stark and Hodor will not appear on the show next season. Of course, all we have to say about that is: “Hodor.” So watch Game of Thrones online at TV Fanatic to get some Bran in your diet, because you won’t be receiving any new updates on the psychic Stark until 2016 at the earliest.  Game of Thrones Characters In Real Life 1. The actors’ on HBO’s most-watched series tend to really disappear into their roles. So much so, in fact, that many Game of Thrones actors look completely different in real life  than they do on the show.  Of course, most of the folks who currently populate Westeros didn’t get their start in the Seven Kingdoms. For the sake of believability, producers made an effort to avoid mega-famous A-listers when casting GoT but whether you realize it or not, you’ve seen some of your favorite sers, maesters and Wildlings in previous projects: 13 Game of Thrones Stars in Earlier Roles 1. Peter Dinklage as Tyrion Lannister These days, Peter Dinklage is best known as fan-favorite Tyrion Lannister. Some GoT actors’ previous roles are sure to shock you (Grand Maester Pycelle was in Star Wars ?!), while others are common knowledge amongst hardcore fans (The two actresses who appeared in Harry Potter and GoT should both be dubbed Queen of the Fantasy Nerds). Game of Thrones: Officially Most-Watched HBO Show EVER!!!

All hail, Game of Thrones , King of the Andals, first of its name and all-time ratings champion! Yes, the numbers for season 4, episode 8 of Game of Thrones are in, and the wildly popular series has officially surpassed The Sopranos as the most-watched series in HBO’s history. Game of Thrones Characters In Real Life 1. Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen on the hit series Game of Thrones. The show’s fourth season debuts April sixth. No small feat for a show based on a series of door-stop books written in a genre that was previously associated with anti-social nerds and aging cosplay enthusiasts. For its peak episode in 2002 The Sopranos drew in an audience of 18.2 million viewers. GoT beat that number for the first time last week with 18.4 million tuning in. Prior to the acclaimed mob series that launched in 1999, no premium cable program had ever amassed an audience  close to that size. To put things in perspective, the much-ballyhooed Breaking Bad finale of last year drew a meager-by-comparison 10.4 million viewers and that aired on a network that doesn’t require a paid subscription. It’s a well-deserved honor for a show in the midst of what many critics consider its finest season to date. Of course, last week’s increase in viewership may have had something to do with episode eight’s much-anticipated  Oberyn Martell vs. Gregor Clegane battle , but considering the writers left us with a cliffhanger, much of the record-breaking audience may hold on to see if the powers that be will carry out the execution of Tyrion Lannister on this week’s GoT. Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard: See the Proposal!!

Jill Duggar thought she was just going for a stroll after a lunch date on Tuesday’s season finale of 19 Kids & Counting on TLC. How very wrong she was. Blissfully so, it turned out. Blissfully so. She had no idea boyfriend Derick Dillard was getting ready to propose and had planned a surprise proposal including a serenade by country singer Walker Hayes. The bride-to-be was taken aback. Derick Dillard Proposes to Jill Duggar! Jill, the second oldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, and Derick listened as musicians hiding in the park came in to join the performance. “Last minute, I was going over what I was going to say in my head,” Dillard said as the big moment drew near. “I was just trying to play it cool.” Jill may have suspected something big was about to happen – “I’m like on the alert, basically, like, ‘What’s going on?'” – but she was still over the moon. Dillard and Duggar actually began courting after Jill’s younger sister Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald began courting. They are likely to get engaged soon. Jessa and Derick are saving their first kiss for their wedding day, although they already broke courtship rules once with a full frontal hug, so who knows. It’s a slippery slope. SO Many Duggars 1. It might make it more difficult to appreciate the subtle insults that help make Game of Thrones great , but for reasons unknown to the rest of u,s some folks prefer to surround themselves with dozens of PBR-swilling hipsters when watching HBO’s most popular series. Of course, while it may seem like a thoroughly obnoxious experience, there are some obvious upsides to watching the GoT at the corner bar: you can save on your cable bill, it gives new meaning to the phrase, “Turn on the Game,” and best of all – you can film your friends’ reactions to shocking scenes, which is what one clever Chicago bartender did during Sunday’s episode: Game of Thrones Fans React to Oberyn-Gregor Fight! If – like many of us – you’re still recovering from the epic battle between Oberyn Martell and Gregor Clegane , the above video might be all the therapy you need. It always helps to know others are sharing in your agony. Though he wasn’t with us long, Prince Oberyn quickly became a fan favorite.
