How To Balance “Bro-mance” Versus “Romance”

We all know that being liked by your boyfriend’s friends is a plus. What better security is there than knowing that his friends aren’t actively trying to change his mind about you? One of my friends is so used to being invited to her boyfriend’s “guys’ nights”. Whether it’s getting wings at the local dive bar or being rowdy and watching the game on someone’s couch, she’s always been a “guys’ girl”. The guy that she recently started dating, however, likes to separate his “guy time” and “girlfriend time”. BUT, this doesn’t mean that she needs to kick him to the curb and find a more romantic guy. We talked and tried to figure out what the right amount of “bro-mance” time versus “romance” time is. The first thing I did was explain to her the importance of “bro-mances” to men. Just because they’re spending time with their guys does not mean that they are going to break up with you. There’s no need to constantly call and text him asking about his plans. Having time to “bro out” can actually be extremely healthy for relationships. You have more to talk about, and let’s be real- you’d rather him be hanging out with his best guy  friends than getting drinks with the new lady at work. But how much “bro-mance” is too much ? When he is choosing to play poker with the guys 5 days out of the week, it’s time to step in and ask for a little more “loving time”. If you can squeeze yourself into a game of black jack with him and the guys, that’s great! But don’t go dealing cards where they don’t belong. You don’t want to start showing up everywhere and have his guys get annoyed of you. When my friend showed up at one of the guys’ golf games, she felt completely out of place and definitely heard the snide comments: “uhh dude, what’s she doing here?” Most importantly, keep in mind what his “bro-mance” time can mean for you. Use this time to pamper yourself or plan a girls’ night out . Just because he wants to hang out with the guys on Friday night doesn’t mean that you need to stay in by yourself. The most healthy relationships have a balance between romantic time and friend time. What are your thoughts on “bro-mances”? How do you stay in a healthy relationship while still giving him room to breathe? How much room is too much room? Fill us in! Nicki Minaj & Britney Spears Get Into Altercation At Femme Fatale Tour?! James ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond Arrested By Feds

DEA confirms to MTV News that Czar Entertainment honcho was apprehended and arraigned on drug charges in New York City. By Rob Markman Jimmy Henchman Photo: Soul Brother/FilmMagic The manhunt for hip-hop music executive James “Jimmy Henchman” Rosemond ended Tuesday afternoon (June 21), the DEA confirmed to MTV News. Henchman, who ran the Czar Entertainment management company overseeing the careers of artists like the Game, was arrested in New York City and charged with heading a cocaine trafficking ring. Rosemond has been on the lam since warrants were issued for his arrest on May 17. On Tuesday afternoon, the onetime music manager noticed federal agents as he walked out of the W Hotel in Union Square, according to the New York Post. Henchman tried to evade US Marshals and DEA agents by taking off on foot, but was apprehended and arrested on 21st Street and Park Avenue South. Rosemond was then arraigned in Brooklyn on conspiracy to distribute in excess of five kilograms of cocaine; he is being held without bail, a DEA representative told MTV News. According to Rosemond’s lawyer, Jeffery Lichtman, Henchman and his defense team are ready. “These charges obviously aren’t surprising, we’ve been anticipating them for years now,” Lichtman told MTV News on Tuesday. “But they’re built on the backs of people that have lied and cheated, have been threatened, have been bribed by the government,” he added. “Anything to get Jimmy Rosemond, but all of this is going to be exposed. We’ve been waiting a long time for our day in court — we finally have it.” Through the DEA, MTV News has obtained a copy of the complaint and affidavit stemming from Rosemond’s arrest warrant. In it, there are details of Henchman’s alleged drug ring, which is said to have shipped cocaine under accounts belonging to Czar Entertainment from California to New York in “road cases” typically used to transport musical equipment. Vacuum-sealed bags and mustard were also used to conceal the smell from drug-sniffing dogs. Two “high-ranking members” of Rosemond’s alleged organization (referred to in the complaint as “CW-1” and “CW-2”) helped the DEA in their investigation. The document does confirm that both men agreed to cooperate with the government after their respective arrests in the “hope of receiving a reduced sentence.” It is also noted in the complaint that while on the run, Henchman avoided the use of cell phones and suggested to one of the members of his organization that he should go into hiding. “N—-r stay low, move like you on the run right now ’cause that is what I’m doing n—-r, trying to get some ID, some new paperwork, all that sh– right now,” Rosemond said during a telephone conversation recorded by agents. Dexter Isaac, who is believed to be cooperating with the government in its case against Henchman, told AllHipHop.com that he was paid $2,500 by Rosemond to rob Tupac Shakur at Quad Studios in a November 1994 incident that resulted in the near-fatal shooting of the rapper, two years before his death in 1996. Lichtman told the New York Daily News that Isaac’s claim was a “flat-out lie.” “When you got witnesses like that against you, it can make anybody paranoid and believe that they won’t be getting a fair trial,” Lichtman said about his client. “When the case starts, we’ll be ready to go.” Check back with MTV News for updates as this story continues to develop.

Tupac Shakur’s Murder: Will Confession Bring Closure?

‘It’s verification for what ‘Pac said,’ E.D.I. Mean tells MTV News of Shakur’s lyrics about Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond. By Rob Markman Tupac Shakur Photo: MTV News On the eve of what would have been Tupac Shakur’s 40th birthday, an imprisoned man has admitted to shooting the late rapper/actor during a robbery at Manhattan’s Quad Studios in November 1994. What’s even more startling is that the alleged triggerman, Dexter Isaac, is claiming in a letter that was obtained by AllHipHop.com that ‘Pac’s former associate, Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond, paid him $2,500 to do the deed. While this may be a revelation to some, ‘Pac’s former prot

LeBron James Clarifies Postgame Remarks, Sounds Less Like a Jerk

LeBron James was in for a long postseason before he stepped to the microphone for a postgame press conference, following his team’s NBA Finals elimination at the hands of the Dallas Mavericks Sunday night. The supposedly best player in basketball had been reduced to a passive spectator during the series, averaging nine points fewer per game than he did during the regular season. Asked about the celebratory reaction of his critics to such poor play, James gave an answer that sounded like he was looking down on all basketball fans . But James said today that he was misunderstood. “I was saying at the end of the day this season is over and – with all hatred – everyone else has to move on with their lives, good or bad. I do, too. “It wasn’t saying I’m superior or better than anyone else, any man or woman on this planet, I’m not,” said the underachieving star. “I would never every look at myself bigger than anyone who watched our game. It may have come off wrong but that wasn’t my intent.” We’ll buy that. But we’re still psyched the arrogant Heat lost to the Mavs. How about you?

‘Game Of Thrones’ Star Sean Bean Shares In Fans’ Shock

Actor talks about his initial reaction to the ‘heroic’ turn of events in ‘Baelor.’ Spoiler alert! By Kara Warner Sean Bean in “Game of Thrones” Photo: Helen Sloan/ HBO So how about Sunday night’s episode of “Game of Thrones” ? To say that it was a doozy barely scratches the surface of all the shameless double-crossing and bloodshed that occurred. SPOILER ALERT! : For those who haven’t yet watched “Baelor” (or read the novel), do not read any further. MAJOR, major spoilers ahead. A recap can hardly do justice to the episode’s gruesome events, which have been adapted quite faithfully from author George R.R. Martin’s brilliant plot twists and turns, but we can provide you with a video interview of “Game of Thrones” star Sean Bean talking about the big “event.” “It’s quite heroic, I suppose,” Bean told MTV News of the lead into his character’s shocking death scene. “I didn’t just get knocked off and nobody notices. Plenty of people noticed,” he said with a smile. “It was a good one.” Bean said that when he read Martin’s book, Ned Stark’s death was as much of a shock to him as anyone. “He’s such a predominant character, straight through all of it, and you think, ‘Wait a minute, what’s happening?’ He’s obviously been betrayed left and right and center, but you never thought it would come to this,” he admitted. “Even the shock on his face before it happens it’s like, ‘But we made a deal.’ It’s a pretty awful ending and the kids are watching as well.” Bean said that the short-lived role was amazing to play, and the filming of his final scene was appropriately epic and ambitious. “We were in Malta in the middle of a big square,” he recalled. “A big piazza with hundreds and hundreds of people on a raised platform, I’m making a last speech, I have my hands tied behind back. I kind of say that I have betrayed the realm and I have been a traitor in order to save my children. … It’s real heartbreaking stuff.” But as Martin fans well know, this doesn’t mean the end of shocking twists in the series, because, as Cersei Lannister put it, “In the game of thrones, you win, or you die.” What did you think of this shocking turn of events?
