Chris Grant’s “Wristwatch” Challenge Brings Viral Moves & New Music To Instagram

Go here to read the rest:

Source: gradyreese/Getty / Getty A new dance challenge has taken off on Instagram by one of the most well-respected choreographers in the game. Chris Grant has made a name for himself choreographing iconic performances for stars like Beyoncé.  But with his new #WristwatchChallenge, Grant is taking on the choreographer and singer role for a new song that’s all his own. Grant shared his “Wristwatch” track on Instagram along with some fire choreography on November 1. Thus, the #WristwatchChallenge was born.   A couple of days later, Grant shared a lyrics video to Instagram…   Soon after, movers across social media were sharing clips of themselves dancing to Grant’s song. From bedroom finesse…   To dance studio greatness…   Even celebrity comrades were showing Grant some love with their own interpretation of the song. Brandy was one artist who happily put her own sauce to the choreo…   Grant’s influence is no surprise, considering his decorated experience in the entertainment industry. According to Billboard , famed choreographer and Beyoncé collaborator  Frank Watson Jr. helped Grant take his career to the next level when Watson saw him on Making the Band 4 in 2008. Grant was a contestant on the show and Watson peeped his talent early on. Eventually, Watson introduced Grant to Beyoncé and the Queen Bey was in awe of Grant’s skills. According to Dance Mogul , he became one of Beyoncé’s assistant choreographers during her “I Am… World Tour” and they kept the relationship going ever since then. Now, Grant has helped choreograph memorable moments such as Beyoncé’s “Formation” music video in 2016 and her iconic Coachella performance earlier this year. With his own new music on the horizon, it’s clear Grant isn’t slowing down his creative energy anytime soon. Hit the next pages to watch more #WristwatchChallenge clips making waves on the Internet!

Flavor Of Thirst: Deelishis Shamelessly Shoots Her Shallow Shot At Shannon Sharpe

Splash Who knew that Shannon Sharpe had girls on the gram going crazy over his fast-talking, Henny sippin’ ways? Deelishis had no shame in her game when she took to IG to shoot her shot at the sports analyst, writing: I know y’all keep asking why bae smiling so hard at work today… DUH it’s cause we got married last night in a private ceremony…. um so private I honestly don’t think he even remembers…. um can y’all go remind bae him is married #EyesMarriedNow #HeAndSheAreMeantToBe This isn’t the first time the former reality star has vied for Shannon’s love. Back in August, she revealed on Hood Rich Radio that she slid into Sharpe’s DMs: “I slid. He’s not married, right? But I slid and he didn’t reply. It was a very sophisticated slide.” Shannon Sharpe is probably too busy checking for Nicole Murphy to notice anyone else out here checking for him. Would yall be here for Deelishis Sharpe?

Stacey Abrams Refuses To Concede Georgia Governor Race

See original here:

U PDATED: 6:34 a.m. EDT, Nov. 7 — After a suspenseful Election Night, Stacey Abrams said she wouldn’t concede the race to be Georgia’s next governor to Brian Kemp, who was accused of orchestrating widespread voter suppression against Black people before and during Election Day. Abrams hinted at a possible runoff election next month because of Kemp’s razor-thin lead that continued to dwindle Wednesday morning, according to the Atlanta Journal-Consitution . WATCH: Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams: “I promise you tonight, we’re going to make sure every single vote is counted. Every single vote.” https://t.co/6pqqY4AD1c pic.twitter.com/aeVBUUaA7t — NBC News (@NBCNews) November 7, 2018 “And I need you to know that it is my mission to serve you, to serve Georgia, to make you proud,” Abrams said late Tuesday night. “And for those who didn’t pick me the first time, to change your mind about me and what we can accomplish together.” GEORGIA! This race is NOT over. @StaceyAbrams is now closer than ever. And 9% of voters are still outstanding in heavily Democratic areas. — Shaun King (@shaunking) November 7, 2018 She continued : “Votes remain to be counted. Voices waiting to be heard. We are going to make sure that every vote is counted – because in a civilized nation, the machinery of democracy should work everywhere for everyone.” Original story:   G eorgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp  stooped to a new low, even for him, in his ongoing efforts to keep Black people from voting for Stacey Abrams , the Black woman running against him for governor. Voting machines, which fall under the responsibility of the secretary of state, were delivered to majority Black precincts without any cords to provide them with electrical power for voters to cast their ballots. Kemp’s “dirty tricks” caused delays of up to four hours at polling places where hundreds of voters at a time were left waiting. See Also: Coincidence? Black People In Georgia Typically Get The Oldest Voting Machines, Increasing Chances Of Error “Brian Kemp is playing in the game and he’s also the referee!”  Rashad Robins , president of the racial justice group Color of Change, told NewsOne Tuesday afternoon. “The word we’re hearing is about suppression and dirty tricks, long lines and broken down polling places.” Kemp, who has President Donald Trump ’s endorsement, oversees the election system. He’s also been on the receiving end of multiple federal lawsuits over his attempts to suppress Black votes. They range for rejecting certain absentee ballots , blocking approximately 53,000 voter registration forms and purging some 700,000 voters from the state’s voting rolls—all targeting African-American voters. Here are just a few of the reports that flooded social media about suppression in Georgia. No power cords for voting machines in African American majority neighborhood in Georgia. This is a disgrace. I don’t believe in coincidences. Everyone should assume this is all orchestrated by Kemp. Who’s the biggest cheater in Georgia politics in years. pic.twitter.com/zmv24R7TJ3 — Scott Dworkin (@funder) November 6, 2018 There’s only 3 voting machines at this Atlanta polling place. SMH! @tomreganWSB pic.twitter.com/YTXdXLAHzG — Everything Georgia (@GAFolIowers) November 6, 2018 Many of the reported problems apparently stemmed from old, decrepit voting machines that are concentrated in poor communities. “The counties and cities with the fewest resources are voting on the oldest equipment that tend to have the most problems,”  Edgardo Cortés , an election security advisor at the Brennan Center for Justice’s Democracy Program, confirmed to NewsOne during an interview on Monday. Kemp and Abrams were locked in a neck-and-neck race. Abrams has the chance to become the nation’s first African-American woman governor—in a red state that has not elected a Democratic governor in two decades. “Stacey Abrams’ opponents recognize that the only way they could win—when our folks are fired up—is to suppress the vote,” Robinson, of Color of Change said. “What I do think is really exciting is that folks, in the face of all that, are still turning out in large numbers.” SEE ALSO: Make Massa Happy! Forgot About Swizz: 6 Songs You Probably Didn’t Know Swizz Beatz Produced

Go here to see the original:

Source: Theo Wargo / Getty Swizz Beatz has been consistent in the game since he first hit the scene back in the late 90’s. 20 years later and the infamous producer is still responsible for some of the hottest songs on the charts today. Lil Wayne’s “Uproar” reminded people why Swizzy is one of the greatest to ever do it, and on Friday, the Bronx legend dropped his second studio album Poison featuring some of his Hip Hop colleagues including Kendrick Lamar, Pusha-T, Nas, Jadakiss and 2 Chainz. Swizz spoke to The Fader about his 10-track project and how his presence is needed right now in the music game, saying:   “I feel like real lyrics and music are needed. I’m not against other artists having fun and doing what they do, but as far as me having the experience and longevity that I have, what am I bringing to the table in 2018? That’s why I keep saying “quality” I don’t feel like there’s enough quality out there. There’s a lot of quantity.” And if you thought the Harvard Grad was just some old head, beat-maker who’s not in the know — you thought totally wrong. Swizz is so in tune with the current state of Hip Hop that he got J. Cole to Executive Produce his latest album. Big bro album out right now. POISON @THEREALSWIZZZ everybody snapped. pic.twitter.com/u9ZkCvAZZy — J. Cole (@JColeNC) November 2, 2018 Swizz told The Fader: “ He played the role of young mentor to me. I’m not too cool where I can’t have a young mentor, being as I’m a young OG. We were playing each other music, and then we started talking about things other than our projects, books, different things. One time, I was playing him songs from the album — before I had all these different sonic elements to the album, before separating them into four boxes. What I played you guys, where it stopped, he was like, “That’s the record. The other records you’re playing me, they’re huge, but I don’t think you need it.” And I’m like, “Are you crazy?” Two-decades in a Swizz Beatz is still a force to be reckoned with. But for some reason, folks don’t give credit to anything that happened before social media was a thing. But we’re here to remind you. Hit the flip to check out these songs you probably didn’t know Swizz Beatz produced.

“Bodak Yellow” Producer JWhiteDidIt Compares Cardi B’s Success To That Of A Young 50 Cent (Exclusive)

Read more:

Source: Courtesy of JWhiteDidIt Just before Cardi B and Nicki Minaj got into it again on social media, JWhiteDidIt visited the Global Grind offices to chat about his success with Bardi Gang’s formidable leader. As the producer behind “Lick,” “Bodak Yellow,” “Money Bag,” “I Like It” and her latest offering “Money,” JWhite has assisted Cardi in growing her credibility as an artist—in July, Billboard reported that Cardi is the first female rapper to earn two Billboard Hot 100 no. 1 records with “I Like It” and “Bodak Yellow.” Swish! In our interview the Kansas City producer talks all about watching Cardi progress . He also gets into why “Bodak Yellow” became the hit that it did, how her team decided to do a Spanish record, opening more doors for Latin music, and compares Cardi B’s success to that of a young 50 Cent. Get into it. On Cardi Honing Her Craft & Taking The Reigns “How I came in, I was a producer and Cardi was working on the mixtape and just trying to get records. I know as a producer we lead the show, so it was more like ‘Ok Cardi, we gonna do this, we gonna do that.’ But now, over the years she has developed an ear for what she likes and I think that’s dope for anybody to grow—and she’s been growing rapidly, as we all can see. I’m proud of her.” On “Bodak Yellow” & Why It Was Such A Big Hit “Timing, to be honest. None of us knew that it would be a hit record, we just knew that it was different and it was hard and it just felt good. You could hear the frustrations in Cardi’s voice, you could hear the hunger…and I think a lot of people at the time felt that.” When asked if the goal was to make a classic NY record, specifically, he added “No the goal was to, in my head, get a song that’s bigger than ‘Lick.’ ‘Lick’ was doing OK for the streets, but I know Cardi wanted that song on the radio. My job as a producer, and her team at the time, was to help give her that record. That was the goal, really.” “Honestly I thought ‘Bodak Yellow’…was [only] going to get us to another record. I didn’t think number one… ’cause it’s a weird record,” he said. “She’s from the Bronx and I’m from Kansas City and I think that mashup of sound…felt good for everybody and I think that’s why it worked. Cardi was something new, a breath of fresh air to this industry. Now look, she’s still commanding the airwaves.” Source:Courtesy of JWhiteDidIt On How “I Like It” Came About & The Decision To Incorporate More Spanish Into Her Sound “We were at the Atlantic offices and the CEO, Craig Kallman, he [told me] ‘I have this idea. I don’t know what record, I don’t know what song…but she needs a Latin record, but trapped out. It needs to have that ‘Bodak’ feel, or it needs to have an urban feel to it. We need to flip the song.’ So, that’s how that happened. I went to his house and he played me a lot of records—literally.” JWhite said Kallman played him so many records that he eventually started to doze off. “He’s playing me each Spanish record and…all I hear is ‘Yeaaaah baby!’ and I was like ‘That’s the one.’ The Pete Rodriguez joint, it woke me up because it was already a classic record. It’s hard to do but, we made another classic out of an already classic record, which is crazy. Everybody was a part of that record, because man it was work! On the production end…going through the sample, chopping it up the right way, just making it seem simple. But it paid off to get another number one. Later in our chat, he said the record “will open more doors for Latin music.” “It’s crazy hearing all these new records that have the Latin influence,” he adds. On Cardi B Saying She’s In The Game To Make Hits , Not Be Lyrical,  & His Own Goals When They Create “Is she making money?! Is she making hits?! [Her statement] was real! I know how I feel about it is: it definitely feels good to makes hits, it feels good to make money, but it also feels good to bring people together—something that ‘Bodak Yellow’ did for the freaking culture! What song had a TV special? We had a TV special on Revolt…about a song!” He goes on to compare Cardi’s success to a young 50 Cent’s: “I feel like ‘Bodak Yellow’ is the female ‘In Da Club’ when that was out. I might be reaching, but I feel like it’s one of the biggest female hip hop records ever, if not the biggest. We had the most gangster of gangsters rapping it and my granddad, he’s a preacher, he knows the song.” On Working With Mary J Blige & More JWhite revealed he’s worked with a ton of artists, including Eric Bellinger, Fetty Wap, LeToya Luckett, and more—but working with living legend MJB seemed to be a highlight of his career. When asked if he saw her recent (drop dead gorgeous) photos, he talked about how beautiful she is inside and out: “When I seen Mary J. Blige in that studio I said ‘Halleluuuujah!’ I said ‘I dont know what done happened up in here!’ She’s beautiful. That outside is beautiful, but so is the inside. Me really hearing her talk and seeing who she is as a person, I got so much more respect for her, this legendary person that was so gracious enough to do two days with me in the studio and was open and excited about music…and to see somebody that’s been in the game that long…crazy!”

Maga Ripper is the Naked Girl Trying to Model of the Day

Where I come from, Rippers are what we call strippers, you know “going to the rippers to crack some cold ones with the boys”…I don’t travel much or interact with many people so I don’t know if that is a universal term of paying 10 dollars a song to grab onto titties I’ve never met before… I do know that this Maga Ripper, who has some hotter version of Selena Gomez, you know the look Selena Gomez goes for, look…is named RIPPER, which is totally appropriate because she’s getting naked, only she’s doing the LONG GAME…the not getting naked for money for this shoot specifically, like a short sighted whore would do, she’s getting naked for free, in hopes of getting noticed, which will get her paid down the line through work or rich boyfriends that like girls who post slutty on instagram enough to buy them… That is why she is the Naked girl trying to model of the Day The post Maga Ripper is the Naked Girl Trying to Model of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepFather.com .

Miley Cyrus Pussy Print Bodysuit of the Day

Miley Cyrus is out there in an outfit that hugs her pussy so tightly, it’s like she’s it’s mom and sending it off to the vietnam war, knowing it will likely ever come back, or maybe it’s like a wife during the Civil War, hugging her husband goodbye after she just packed up some freshly made bread for her husband to eat when he marches out to die….leaving her with their thirteen kids on their farm…. What I am saying is that shit is tight, suffocating, the kind of pants a tranny would wear to try to kill off it’s dick the ethical way, rather than having it surgically split open and turned into a pussy…. The nice thing about Miley’s tight outfit, is knowing hat her actual pussy looks like then cross referencing it with her tight pants…it’s like a parlor trick….a “What pussy matches what pussy definition” the game show game… JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Dancing with the Stars Recap: Who the Eff is Voting for Joe?!

“Most Memorable Year” night on Dancing with the Stars gave us a lot of heartwarming stories, some great dancing, and some terrible dancing.  Oh yes, Grocery Store Joe is still terrible, but did he manage to show signs of improvement? Let’s break down the latest installment, shall we? Mary Lou Retton and Sasha Farber This compatible duo went with the Viennese Waltz to “We Are the Champions” performed by Ray Chew Live. Mary went with 1984 as her most memorable year.  That was the year she won the Olympic gold, so it was a predictable year for her to pick. But she did open up about her win not being all that solid in the lead up to it.  She had knee surgery which could have rendered her unfit to compete in the Olympics.  Her latest routine with Sasha was another solid one that allowed them to scale new heights.  Judges’ Score: 24/30 Milo Manheim and Witney Carson Milo went with 2018 as his most memorable year, and this could be attributed to him being just 17 years old. We dare say that most viewers had no clue who he was prior to his casting, so maybe he had a point.  Milo and Witney both went with another energetic performance that ticked all the boxes as far as the judges’ scores go. It was a Jive to “Can You Do This?” by Aloe Blacc.  Judges’ Scores: 27/30. Nancy McKeon and Val Chmerkovskiy It was time to dance the Rumba for this couple. Nancy went with 2006 as her most memorable year because she felt that was the year of her family.  The duo performed to “Love Someone” performed live by Lukas Graham. As has been the case for Nancy this season, there’s improvement, but she’s still nowhere near where she needs to be.  Judges’ Score: 22/30 Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten The Instagram star and the pro went with a Contemporary performance of “How to Save a Life” performed by Ray Chew Live. They danced a tribute to Alexis’ late mother who passed in 2014.  As always, it was a robust performance with Alexis showing off how flexible she is and the scores reflected it.  Judges’ Score: 26/30 Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe Evanna went with 2006 as her year of choice. That was the year she landed the role of Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies.  To celebrate this, she performed the Viennese Waltz to “Hedwig’s Theme” by John Williams. Evanna admitted that she had a connection to the movies through the books.  She was offered a role in the movies after becoming penpals with J.K. Rowling while suffering from an eating disorder.  This performance showed just how much she has grown as a dancer, and she has a lot left to give.  Judges’ Score: 27/30 Joe Amabile and Jenna Johnson Joe went with 2018 because he said it was going to be the year he wins Dancing with the Stars!  We’re kidding, of course. He did choose 2018 but said it was because he realized he could fall in love.  His Viennese Waltz to “You Are the Reason” performed live by Calum Scott, and Leona Lewis did not help him much in the scores.  He was all over the place. Who the heck is voting for him? Judges’ Score: 18/30 Juan Pablo Di Pace and Cheryl Burke Juan Pablo went with the year 1999, opening up about it being the year he hot-footed it out of Buenos Aires in order to pursue his dreams of being an entertainer in Los Angeles.  We think it’s fair to say he accomplished his goal! His performance of the Samba to “Ni Ty Ni Yo” by Jennifer Lopez was visually stunning. He and Cheryl upped their game in a big way and got a perfect score in the process.  Judges’ Score: 30/30 John Schneider and Emma Slater John has been rather wooden since his debut on the series, but he’s showing some improvement. He went with the Waltz to “Smile” by Ray Chew Live.  His year of choice was 2016 because that was the year he lost his mother. The performance was lacking, but the judges recognized that he was getting better.  Judges’ Score: 21/30 Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess Another week, another Greatest Showman number. Bobby went with a Contemporary routine to “A Million Dreams” from the box office smash.  In doing so, he chose 1998 as the year for him because he graduated high school while dreaming of having a better life.  Judges Score: 23/30 Tinashe and Brandon Armstrong Tinashe went with the year 2014 because that was the year her first album was released and gave her the success she was looking for.  Her Rumba to “2 On” by none other than herself gave her and Brandon some more time to shine. They have a lot of chemistry, and it shows in their performances.  Judges’ Score: 27/30 DeMarcus Ware and Lindsay Arnold It was Argentine Tango time for DeMarcus and Lindsay. The duo danced to “Lux Aeterna” by Clint Mansell & Kronos Quarter.  But they went with the year 2016 aka the year DeMarcus winning the Super Bowl. Their performance was tight and filled with big set pieces.  Judges’ Score: 26/30 In the end, it was Nancy and Val and Tinashe and Brandon in jeopardy. Nancy and Val lost their place in the race for the mirrorball trophy.  It’s bizarre that some of the others are still in the competition, but the show is becoming more like a popularity contest these days.  What are your thoughts on the latest elimination? Dancing with the Stars continues Monday on ABC. View Slideshow: Dancing with the Stars: The Odds are Out! Who Will Win?
