It’s October 3, THG readers. You know what that means. Oh, you don’t? Well, that’s okay. We’re here to tell you: Mean Girls fans the world over recall that this is the day when Aaron Samuels and Cady Heron took a huge step forward in their fictional relationship! As a result, many years later, Mean Girls Day was born!! Doesn’t get better than that on a slow news day, does it?! Eh, it probably does, honestly, but whatever, here we are. In any event, what can you do to commemorate this third day of the tenth month of the two thousand and sixteenth year A.D.? Many things. Useless, but entertaining things nonetheless. For one, you can check out the Mean Girls cast then and now , to see whose lives are fetch (so to speak) and whose just aren’t happening. MASSIVE spoiler alert you will never, ever see coming: Lindsay Lohan has seen better days. Slash decades. Seriously, Mean Girls is like a time capsule of a bygone era when LiLo was fresh-faced, talented, hilarious and not 30 going on 50. Not to go all Regina George on you, but check it out: You can throw on your finest jeans and track pants, because some fugly skank is sabotaging your diet. You can still sit with us, no worries. Or you could just watch the Tina Fey-Lindsay Lohan classic for the 417th time and see if your knowledge of Mean Girls quotes is still on point. It’s hard to see how they wouldn’t be, honestly. After all, this film has reached the rarefied air where where people overuse its material in everyday speech to an almost annoying degree. That’s their problem, though. Not Mean Girls ‘ problem. Hate the game (read: the general public), not the movie that produced such gems as: “I can’t go out. I’m sick.” / “Boo! You whore!” “She doesn’t even go here!” “I’m not like a regular mom. I’m a cool mom.” “One time I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants and flip flops. So I bought army pants and flip flops.” “I’m sorry that people are so jealous of me. But I can’t help it that I’m popular.” “Is butter a carb?” “That’s why her hair is so big. It’s full of secrets.” “Get in, loser. We’re going shopping!” “Whatever. I’m getting cheese fries.” “I can’t go to Taco Bell, I’m on an all-carb diet! God, Karen! You’re so stupid!” “Oh my god, Danny Devito! I love your work!” “We only carry sizes 1, 3 and 5. You could try Sears.” “On Wednesdays we wear pink!” “That’s so fetch!” “Irregardless! Ex-boyfriends are just off limits to friends. I mean, that’s just like, the rules of feminism!” “If you’re from Africa, then why are you white?” “Oh my god, Karen! You can’t just ask people why they’re white!” “‘Made out with a hot dog’? Things are getting super predictable in the Big Brother house and that’s down to the fact there are just a handful of houseguests left. James knew he would need to work both sides of the house to try and ensure he made it out of the eviction. We picked up pretty quickly with the nominations ceremony and the nominations were no shocker. Paul nominated Corey and Nicole for eviction. Surprisingly, this was the first time Nicole was on the block this season. In her season, she was evicted twice, so this shows she has changed her game play this season. With Nicorey on the block, James knew the veto holder would hold all the power and if one of Nicorey won, he would be going home. Nicole was first out of the competition and it came down to Paul and Corey. It was a tense segment of the episode because it would make or break one of their chances for the prize. It’s crazy that Corey is actually playing the game now. He just lay in bed with Nicole all summer long. Maybe that was part of his plan all along. Who would have thought that he would sit around all summer and play when he really needed to? Not me. He and Nicole have played very similar games, but Nicole seems to be taking the brunt of it from the jury members. When we picked up with them, Michelle proved she was obsessed with Nicole by drawing multiple pictures of her as a snake. Seriously, the chick is deluded to be blaming Nicole. Michelle only has herself to blame for being in the jury house. You have to win competitions and have a good social game to make it in the Big Brother house. Beyond being a super fan, Michelle brought nothing but tears and tantrums to the house. Natalie’s arrival paved the way for the biggest jury bust up yet. Something seemed off about the way Paulie started being rude to Natalie. It seemed scripted, and Da’vonne was only happy to join in on the arguing. It appears that Zakiyah and Paul are now very much paired up again and that’s rubbed the women the wrong way. Security had to step in when Paulie brought Da’vonne’s daughter into the argument and things got very heated. I genuinely thought Da’vonne was going to beat Paulie up right here. He was clearly taken aback by her being all up in his grill, but he kind of deserved it. He’s treated the women of the house like crap all season long. Heck, even Julie Chen seemed shocked by all of the events. The jury was rocked by the arrival of Victor, who most thought would go on to win the whole thing. Da’vonne spoke to the camera and confirmed that Nicole has been playing the game when she needs to. Might Nicole actually win the whole thing? When we picked back up with the main house, James evicted Corey. Miley Cyrus has not walked a red carpet since December. That’s a long time for someone with her level of fame, but the singing sensation has her reasons for it. They’re pretty great. “[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again ,” she tells the October issue of Elle magazine. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’?” Miley does have a point and it’s a pretty good one. It appears Cyrus has been trying to change her image ever since getting back together with Liam Hemsworth. It has resulted in fewer crazy stories about her in the media, but that’s not really a bad thing. For a time, it appeared like she was desperately trying to prove to the world that she was not Hannah Montana. Yes, Hannah Montana made her famous, but she obviously wanted to be set apart from the character that made her pretty famous. Granted, she was already well-known due to being the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus. It was revealed back in May that Miley and Liam were back together and it set the internet ablaze with comments about whether they would get married. It certainly seems like wedding bells are still ringing for the couple and they sure appear to be getting on a lot better than they were. Maybe the two of them were always fated to return to one another, but it was somewhat surprising. The two of them became very different people, but alas, Miley is keeping a lower profile these days. She’s now a judge on NBC’s The Voice, but that doesn’t stop controversy from following her. She and Adam Levine allegedly HATE one another . They just can’t get along, but that’s not stopping Cyrus from doing her thing on the singing competition. In a recent preview episode of the hit series, it was clear that Miley had a lot to offer to the latest batch of contestants, but will her clashing with Adam get in the way? We’ll need to tune in to find out! The Voice Coaches Team Up for Epic “Dream On” Performance A hot topic in her interview surrounded her wanting to increase her social media presence. “I want to be [on Snapchat]. I don’t know how to use it,” she admits. “I feel like I’ll be an old lady that’s too held back, because I don’t keep up with it.” We’re sure she’ll pick up on it pretty easily. There’s not much to learn. Speaking of cell phone apps, she is not a fan of Pokemon GO. Yes, that crazy game that involves people exploring places they really shouldn’t to catch Pokemon. However, Liam is very into the game. “[This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a — what do you call it? — PokéSpot,” she quips. “Like, ‘Got to go find them and catch them all!
