Channing Tatum covered the gay lifestyle magazine OUT in 2012, the year in which Magic Mike made the hunk one of the biggest movie stars on the planet. Tatum also covered the same publication in 2002, before he was famous at all. Many things changed in the ensuing decade, but his good looks weren’t among them. Sporting no shirt and a pair of short shorts, the then-22-year-old model is seen wrestling with another guy wearing nothing but a tank top and tighty whities. Topping the list for men as the year’s overall highest earner is famed cross-dresser and guy white people pretend they’ve heard of – Tyler Perry. Perry pulled in a cool $78 million last year on the strength of his films, television shows, stage plays and books. Watch out Oprah – sounds like Madea’s going for the Ultimate Multi-Media Mogul crown! Other notable entries on the list include Matthew McConaughey, who earned $19 million last year, despite being paid only $200,000 for his Oscar-winning role in Dallas Buyers Club , and Sandra Bullock who took home a whopping $63 million for her roles in Gravity and The Heat . On the flip side some stars who might startle you with their paltry pay days include Juan Pablo Galavis who was paid just $150,000 for The Bachelor (but reaped untold benefits in the currency of amor ) and Liam Hemsworth who received just $1.75 million for his role in the Hunger Games (producers locked him down before he became famous). Matt Lauer to the rescue? There are words NBC executives never thought they’d say to themselves. But with host Bob Costas ailing from an eye infection that has become the talk of the Twitterverse, the network has confirmed that Lauer will take his spot for tonight’s coverage of the Sochi Olympics. “Reluctantly, I was trying to throw a complete game here, but I think we’re going to have to go to the bullpen, and I don’t know if you’re aware of this or not, but you’re Mariano Rivera, at least tonight,” Costas told Lauer by phone this morning on Today . “Let’s hope it’s only tonight. I’m walking around, I might as well be playing ‘Marco Polo.’ I have no idea where I am.” Costas had been trying to ignore his eye issues since Day One of the Games, but it was apparent last night that the infection had spread. We’ll see how long his hiatus lasts and we’ll gauge how well Lauer does this evening. But as long as he doesn’t dress like Pam Anderson again, everything should run smoothly.
This weekend the non-nude American Hustle (2013) opens in theaters starring everyone’s favorite Hunger Games hottie, Jennifer Lawrence . We’ve got mixed feelings about this one: On the one hand, our Skin Skout reports that, despite the “R” rating, Jennifer does not go nude in the film, only showing up in a series of low-cut, bra-free dresses. On the other, she does share a lesbian liplock with Amy Adams an hour and 24 minutes in… If you want some actual skin, there’s a couple of other options this weekend: Here Comes the Devil (2012) is new and nude, with just a slice of the thrills revealed in the exclusive clip we posted yesterday .
