Kanye West has always pushed the boundaries of hip hop music, but for his next project Yeezus has decided to drop the “music” part altogether. Yes, if you’re a fan of beats, melodies or other things that make Kanye’s obnoxious boasting tolerable, you may want to skip his as-yet untitled eighth studio album, which will reportedly consist of three hours of Kanye talking. Three. Hours. Of Kanye. Just talking. What will ‘Ye talk about, you ask? Everything, of course! “He has very strong views on everything from music and art to politics and the environment,” says a source close to the production, adding, “Kanye loves the sound of his own voice.” In other news, water has been found to be wet and the Pope is apparently a Catholic. Evidently, Kanye’s three weddings aren’t enough of an annoying statement of self-importance. So, if when you’re at a party, you like to seek out the most arrogant, opinionated loudmouth in the room and listen to him babble on for hours, you’re sure to love Kanye’s new album! It’s all of the ego you can possible fit in one album with none of that pesky music getting in the way. If we’re really lucky, maybe he’ll throw in a nasally cameo from his fiancee. Cliven Bundy, Controversial Nevada Rancher, Wonders: Were Blacks Better Off as Slaves?

Cliven Bundy is a rancher in Nebraska who has refused to pay grazing fees since 1993. As a result, he now owes the federal government over $1 million and he has been engaged in a tense standoff with officials for weeks, with an armed militia actually coming to his defense against The Bureau of Land Management. In an interview with The New York Times yesterday, though, Bundy moved attention away from this ongoing scandal and on to something else: his unabashed racism. Cliven Bundy Said WHAT?!? “I want to tell you one more thing I know about the Negro,” Bundy told the newspaper, sharing a tale about driving past a public-housing project in North Las Vegas. “In front of that government house, the door was usually open and the older people and the kids… they didn’t have nothing to do. They didn’t have nothing for their kids to do. They didn’t have nothing for their young girls to do.” Bundy went on to criticize those living on a “government subsidy,” explaining what (he thinks) happens when the government plays a major role in the lives of African-Americans: “They abort their young children, they put their young men in jail, because they never learned how to pick cotton. And I’ve often wondered, are they better off as slaves, picking cotton and having a family life and doing things, or are they better off under government subsidy? They didn’t get no more freedom. They got less freedom.” Republican lawmakers who had earlier stood behind Bundy’s plight quickly backed down upon hearing of this comments. Dean Heller (R-Nev.) – who had referred to Bundy previously as a “Patriot” – now says he “completely disagrees with Mr. Bundy’s appalling and racist statements, and condemns them in the most strenuous way.” Rand Paul, who had also expressed support for Bundy, added via spokesman: “His remarks on race are offensive and I wholeheartedly disagree with him.” In an interview with Alex Jones, meanwhile, Bundy said he wanted The New York Times ti retract its story. “I would appreciate that. I think they should do that,” Bundy said. “They’re making it a racist-type thing. I’m not racist.” Given the chance to clarify his stance on The Peter Schiff Show, Bundy subsequently explained: I’m wondering if they’re better off under a government subsidy and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail and their older women and children are sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do. I’m wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were when they were slaves and they was able to their family structure together and the chickens and the garden and the people have something to do. So in my mind, are they better off being slaves in that sense or better off being slaves to the United States government in the sense of the subsidy. I’m wondering. The statement was right. I am wondering. Oh, okay then. That’s very different.

Kanye West Postpones Australian Tour Dates, Heads Back to Studio

Australia’s loss is the rest of the music world’s gain. Kanye West has postponed a number of tour dates Down Under because he’s anxious to head back to the studio and work on his new album. “Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,” read a statement posted to Roc Nation’s website, adding: “The tour dates originally scheduled from May 2 to May 11, 2014, will now be played from September 5 to September 15, 2014. All tickets for the initially scheduled shows will be honored for the new dates.” Kanye, of course, also has a wedding to plan. He’ll tie the knot with Kim Kardashian on May 24. Last month, West’s creative house (Donda) partnered up with Jay Z’s Roc Nation to manage its music division. The collaboration centers on Kanye’s recording brand and worldwide touring ventures. Of course, this news is a blow to users of the Internet as well. Emily Nesbit, an 11th grade English teacher, resigned last week after she was accused of having sexual relations with a student at her high school. Nesbit, 31, was charged with institutional sex assault, a third-degree felony. Emily Nesbit Arrested For Having Sex with Student Police say that Nesbit admitted meeting an 18-year-old male student for sex in a classroom after hours at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa. Nesbit is charged based on her position as a teacher, without regard to the age of the student. If convicted she could face up to seven years in prison. Administrators learned about the alleged inappropriate contact March 10 after a female student discovered sexual text messages on the alleged victim’s phone. These included partially clothed and naked pics of the couple. Silver Spring (Pa.) Township police learned that the student and teacher had been in contact for about two months and met several times in the classroom after school. The student did not deny his relationship with the teacher. Police said the teacher’s phone number was listed as “My Lady Friend” in the student’s iPhone. Brianne Altice, Utah H.S. Teacher, Pleads Not Guilty to Rape Charge After Sex with Student

Brianne Altice, a Utah high school teacher accused of having sex with a teenage student, pleaded not guilty in court this week to felony rape charges. Altice, 34, turned heads in court as she showed up in a figure-hugging top, slim-fitted pants and high heels … to deny the alleged sexual relationship. She is accused of first hooking up with him in a church parking lot; the boy claimed his English teacher at Davis H.S. had sex with him at least three times. The Kaysville, Utah, accuser was 16 at the time. At a preliminary hearing, he alleged that he was having problems at home, having recently moved to Utah, and would cut class to hang out with his instructor. Intimacy followed after an initial encounter in a church parking lot, he added. In November of last year, the boy reportedly admitted to the alleged affair.
