WATCH: Katy Perry’s ‘Wide Awake’ Video Sneak Peek!

Video premieres Tuesday, June 19, on MTV. By Kara Warner Katy Perry in her video for “Wide Awake” Photo: Capitol Attention, Katy Cats! Are you dying to see Katy Perry ‘s new video for her latest hit single, “Wide Awake”? We have some very good news for you in the form of a special sneak peek. Perry has just dropped a trailer for the clip, and we are happy to report that it is 82 seconds of expert teasery. The 1 minute, 22 second trailer opens in a “Secret Garden”-type setting, with a shot of the back of a young, dark-haired girl surrounded by foliage. She’s standing looking at an old table, which is covered by overgrown plants and vines. Suddenly, the debris is whisked away to reveal a dusty old book. The young girl begins turning the pages of the book, which reveal different chapters, with each one highlighted by a photo from a previous Perry video. Stills from “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” “Last Friday Night” and “The One That Got Away” all make for separate chapters in the book. When the girl turns the page to reveal “The Final Chapter,” we start to see pictures from “Wide Awake” that seem to indicate we’ll be whisked into a fairy tale of some sort that naturally has Perry playing our heroine and/or possible princess. The other characters and plot points involved in the tale involve a poisoned strawberry, a curious cat, Prince Charming and a young girl — the very one we’ve been watching turning the pages of the book. The teaser ends with the young girl waving at herself in the book, after which she closes it to reveal the tome’s title: “Wide Awake: The Final Chapter From Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection,” and the premiere date of the video, June 19, which we’re very happy to unveil on MTV. Jersey Shore Shark Attack Trailer: The Worst (Best) Film of All Time?

Jersey Shore is all the rage these days. Ditto shark attack movies. With that in mind, the geniuses at Syfy decided to blend the two phenomena, and the result is this amazing cinematic achievement premiering June 9. The title Jersey Shore Shark Attack really speaks for itself, but you need to watch the trailer below to see Garden State preparing to be eaten alive: Jersey Shore Shark Attack Trailer Syfy’s hilariously official synopsis for the movie – which even features a cameo from Jersey Shore’ s own Vinny Guadagnino – is as follows: “Many years ago, hundreds of locals and tourists were massacred by giant man-eating sharks in the infamous 1916 Jersey Shore attacks.” “But that’s just a legend… or is it?” “It’s a holiday weekend on the Jersey Shore and, unbeknownst to anyone, underwater drills have attracted dozens of albino bull sharks to the pier.” “When a man goes missing, TC (The Complication), Nookie and friends fear the worst and plead with the police chief to close down the beach.” “It isn’t until a famous singer is eaten alive during a performance on the pier that a shark hunt begins. Now, the Preppies must work together with the Guidos in order to save the Jersey Shore and its inhabitants from another vicious slaughter.”

Mike D On Adam Yauch: ‘I Miss Adam So Much’

Beastie Boy Mike D pays tribute to his fallen comrade in Facebook post. By Gil Kaufman The Beastie Boys in the mid 1980s Photo: Getty Images While some groups stay together for the money, the fans or the music, the Beastie Boys kept it going for nearly 30 years for something a bit less tangible: brotherhood. The three lifelong friends toured the world, landed the first #1 rap album in history in 1987 with Licensed to Ill and sold more than 20 million albums in the SoundScan era (which began in 1991). The success was a bonus, but the sense you got at the end of the day is that Michael “Mike D” Diamond, Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and the late Adam “MCA” Yauch just really loved hanging out together, making music and each other laugh. Yauch, who died at age 47
on Friday after a three-year battle with cancer
, had been making music, videos and associated nonsense with Diamond and Horovitz since the three were snot-nosed punk teens. That might explain why the message posted by Diamond on the Beastie Boys’ Facebook page on Monday (May 7) morning felt like a brother struggling to come to terms with the passing of someone who was more than just his partner in rhyme. “I know, we should have tweeted and instagrammed every sad, happy and inspired thought, smile or tear by now,” D wrote in the post that came a short time after a similarly emotional message from Horovitz . “But honestly the last few days have just been a blur of deep emotions for our closest friend, band mate and really brother. I miss Adam so much. “He really served as a great example for myself and so many of what determination, faith, focus, and humility coupled with a sense of humor can accomplish. The world is in need of many more like him. We love you Adam.” The post was accompanied by a photo of the scoreboard at Madison Square Garden emblazoned with a photo of Yauch this weekend, one of dozens of tributes
to the New York native rapper that came in the days following his death. “This photo … is just one awesome example of how NYC is such a unique place that amidst it’s huge size and frenetic pace it really opens up it’s heart in so many ways and on so many levels in times like these,” Diamond wrote. “And though it makes me cry sometimes, it has been really amazing and moving to see.” Share your memories of Adam on Twitter using the hashtag #RIPMCA. Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch, Dead at 47: A Big-Screen Tribute

Beastie Boys rapper’s film contributions include star-studded short “Fight For Your Right Revisited.” By Fallon Prinzivalli The Beastie Boys at the premiere of “Awesome, I F—in Shot That!” Photo: Getty Images After a long bout with cancer, the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch died on Friday (May 4). The rapper’s death comes as a huge blow to fans of his work with the iconic trio, but he’ll also be remembered for the imprint he left on the film world. While he’s widely known as a co-founder of the Brooklyn hip-hop group, MCA was an accomplished director and producer, and his music is featured on an array of popular music soundtracks. The Hollywood community took to Twitter this afternoon to share their thoughts, with Ben Stiller tweeting , “So sad that Adam Yauch is gone. A truly great musician & filmmaker. He stood for integrity as an artist. What a loss. He was a very good man.” While Jonah Hill followed up with a heartfelt tweet : “I’m filled with so much sorrow to hear about the world losing Adam Yauch. He was such a beautiful person and artist. My heart is broken.” As fans mourn the loss, MTV News honors his career and achievements on the big screen. “Fight for Your Right Revisited” The comedic short was Yauch’s most recent writing and direction project and it debuted at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. With as ensemble cast that includes Elijah Wood, Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Susan Sarandon, Will Arnett and Stanley Tucci, the story picks up from the raging party at the close of the trio’s 1987 “(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)” music video. The sequel follows the Beastie Boys and their delinquent antics as they break into a bodega to steal beer and try to out-breakdance their future selves. “Awesome: I F—in’ Shot That!” Yauch produced and directed this memorable Beasties documentary, using footage shot by 50 fans at their 2004 Madison Square Garden concert. Audience members were given video cameras and asked to shoot the whole show. The project was meant to re-create for viewers at the home the exhilarating fan-experience of attending a sold-out show. Interestingly enough, MCA’s producer credit for the project is under the name of Nathaniel Hornblower, Yauch’s “Swiss uncle” and alter ego. Oscilloscope In 2008, Yauch made his directorial debut with “Gunnin’ for That #1 Spot,” a doc about street basketball. The film follows eight of 24 high-school basketball players competing in the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Hoops Classic at Harlem, New York’s famed Rucker Park. Of the eight players Yauch chose, six now have careers in the NBA, proving his eye for talent. “Gunnin’ ” also marked one of his production company’s first efforts. Oscilloscope Laboratories has gone on to distribute a number of well-known works, including “Howl,” the Allen Ginsberg biopic starring James Franco, and the Oscar-nominated thriller “We Need to Talk About Kevin,” starring Tilda Swinton. The company recently announced that they had acquired the rights to the documentary “The Apple Pushers,” which tells the stories of immigrant street vendors who sell fruits and vegetables in poor New York City neighborhoods. The film is narrated by Edward Norton. Soundtracks MCA’s music with the Beastie Boys has been featured on countless movie soundtracks, including “Baby Mama,” “17 Again,” J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek,” “Shrek Forever After,” “Iron Man 2,” “Horrible Bosses” and the Hugh Jackman robotic-action flick “Real Steel.” They also had hit songs featured in the video games “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock” (“Sabotage”) and “Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground” (“Electric Worm”). Share your condolences for MCA’s family, friends and fans in the comments below. Tune in to MTV tonight at 8 p.m. for “Adam Yauch: Remembering a Beastie Boy,” an hour-long special hosted by Sway celebrating the life and career of Adam “MCA” Yauch, including his biggest moments and remembrances from his friends and peers. What The Hell?? 10-Year-Old Boy Served Rum At An Indianapolis Olive Garden

10-Year-Old Boy Served Rum At An Indianapolis Olive Garden A waitress at an Indianapolis Olive Garden mistakenly served rum to a 10-year-old boy Thursday, police said. According to police, the boy had ordered a non-alcoholic wildberry frullato daiquiri for children but the waitress mistakenly brought back a drink that had rum in it. The child drank about 2 ounces of the 4 ounce drink before the waitress realized her mistake. The waitress told management about the error and the restaurant’s manager then told the parents. The manager reportedly said the child would be fine but the parents took the boy to the hospital just to be sure. Tests revealed the boy did have alcohol in his system, but that it equaled less than 1 percent. Officers said the child appeared to be fine, though he was a little shaken up. Police determined the waitress acted without any malice. Police also determined the family’s tab didn’t show that any alcohol had been ordered. Olive Garden released the following statement Friday: “We find this situation completely unacceptable and we are extremely upset that this occurred. “We have a zero tolerance policy for any violation of our responsible alcohol service policy, and the employee who served the wrong drink has been terminated. We are thankful that the child is OK and we will continue to work with the family to resolve this issue.” The mix-up came roughly a year after a mom said her toddler got a little tipsy after being served sangria at an Olive Garden southeast of Orlando, Fla. SMH. Sounds like someone should’ve been fired for this one! Source More On Bossip!
