So Larry David apparently needed some street cred with his kids. There's a lovely West Wing scene where Bartlet doesn't fire the Attorney General, and Josh worries it will look like he didn't because his daughter asked him not to, and PB responds: “I think if you ever have a daughter, you’re going to discover there are worse reasons in the world to do something.” Basically that's the only way I can respond to what's going on here without yelling.
