Many (if not most) trial observers believe that accused murderer Casey Anthony is indeed guilty of killing her two-year-old daughter Caylee. Some of the physical evidence against her is less than overwhelming, however, according to a Casey Anthony defense witness testifying today. The air in Casey Anthony’s car trunk contained chemicals associated with human decomposition, but didn’t conclusively prove a body was there. Dr. Michael Sigman, a professor at the University of Central Florida, said Casey’s trunk showed traces of gasoline, chloroform and other chemicals. However, those readings were all low, and said chemicals also are linked to onions, cabbages and Clorox, among other things. So … it’s tough to say. As a result, Sigman told attorney Cheney Mason, “I cannot conclusively determine that there had been human remains in the trunk of the car.” This comes after prosecutors strongly suggested there were. Prosecutors in the murder trial in Orlando had called several experts who concluded that based on the air samples, a strand of hair, insect activity and the reaction of cadaver dogs that a body was in fact in the Florida mom’s car. Among several other witnesses who took the stand at the trial today was Madeline Montgomery, a forensic toxicologist for the FBI. She testified that she found no evidence of drugs – including calming medications Xanax and Valium – in hair presumed to be Caylee Anthony’s. But she also acknowledged she could not test the hair for chloroform, which was one of the ways prosecutors say Caylee was murdered . Casey Anthony, 25, faces the death penalty if convicted. It’s not clear from the video below if it was Chris or his bodyguard who said it, but according to TMZ , Brown accused several cameramen of alerting some parking enforcement personnel that his car was illegally parked, ranting: “Y’all n**gas is weak. You all call them to try and film me? Y’ALL N**GAS IS GAY!” Chris Brown Drops Gay Slur? Did Brown utter that quote? Again, it’s hard to tell from the clip above. Tracy Morgan has come under severe scrutiny for a stand-up comedic performance last Friday where he openly bashed homosexuals. Kevin Rodgers attended the show where he reported via Facebook: “I figured at some point the gay jokes would fly and I’m well prepared for a good ribbing of straight gay humor. I have very thick skin when it comes to humor; I can dish and I can take. According to TMZ reports : Dodson was popped in Alabama by Huntsville PD at around 2:30 AM. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana and released a short time after. According to the jail’s website, Dodson was hit with a few other misdemeanor charges — two for failing to appear on a traffic charge, one for failing to have insurance and one for speeding. Ride around ‘Bama gettin’ blazed and you will get busted … Now run and tell that homeboy!
Apparently the city of Philadelphia thinks that the perfect age to start giving kids condoms is… age 11!! (PHILADELPHIA) — With the largest rate of teens having sex in the country and the fifth-highest HIV/AIDS rate in that age group, Philadelphia has launched a campaign to reverse those trends with a website that offers mail-order condoms to children as young as 11. A similar effort in Provincetown, Mass., last year stirred up vigorous protest from parents when the school board made condoms available to children of all ages, as long as they went to a school counselor and asked. After the uproar, officials limited access to fifth-graders and up — or those 11 and older. But so far in Philadelphia, the parental reaction has been minimal, according to city health department spokesman Jeff Moran. Though not much data exists on sexual behavior among kids as young as 11, the 2009 CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey shows that 15 percent of children under 13 have had their first sexual encounter. “I haven’t heard much in way of public outcry — not yet — but I anticipate it,” said Gary Bell, executive director of Bebashi-Transition to Hope, a local nonprofit that works with teens on prevention of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The main impetus for this program was the reports of disturbing sexual behavior of young children. “We hear from teachers and school counselors and sometimes the principals that kids are cutting school in the afternoon and leaving early to go have orgies — and that’s in middle school,” said Bell. “They get groups together with kids of different genders — sometimes same-sex and sometimes mixed. The parents are not home and so they go there and have sex and trade partners.” He also reported that city teens use different colored lip stick to signal “how far they will go with oral sex with a guy,” according to Bell. “We are hearing about them acting out in school in the bathrooms and the stairways. Really? A bill?? We don’t want to see men’s underwear either but the government is going to tell people how to dress now??? State Senator Gary Siplin has been working on a bill aimed at a school’s dress code policy for six years and he’s close to making it law. SB 228 and House version, HB 61, makes it against the law when teens wear their pants so low you can see their underwear. The proposed rule under the school code of conduct applies to boys and girls. The Senate version passed without any dissenting votes. The saggy pants fashion among teens is bad enough to inspire this song on American Idol a couple of seasons ago. The opening lyrics say, “Pants on the ground. Pants on the ground, looking like a fool with your pants on the ground.” Florida lawmakers agree with “General” Larry Platt’s song and are fast approving a bill banning clothing that shows underwear in public schools. Mike Davis, a senior at Gibbs High School in St. Petersburg, says he supports the bill. “You should dress appropriately for school. It’s a business. It’s the place training you to become the person you will be in life.” A local school principal agrees wholeheartedly: Principal Kevin Gordon says school administrators are sending a clear message on what’s appropriate for school and the workforce. “If you are not dressed appropriately, then you’re not ready for school. If you are not ready for school, you’re not ready to be successful,” says Gordon. He adds, “Those are patterns students get into.
