Amy Smart and Carter Oosterhouse are now officially wife and husband! The duo got married Saturday in Traverse City, Mich., Carter’s hometown. Both 35, the actress and the TV handyman were first spotted together in January and her rep confirmed they were engaged in April. When you know, you know! Smart is known for her roles in The Butterfly Effect and Varsity Blues . Oosterhouse is best known for his turn as a carpenter on TLC’s Trading Spaces. It’s officially on for George Clooney and Stacy Keibler. Following rumors of their relationship, and a meal together Thursday night , the new couple made its public debut at the Toronto Film Festival yesterday, holding hands at the after-party for Clooney’s upcoming movie, The Ides of March . Asked on the red carpet of the premiere for the movie what she liked best about Clooney, Keibler responded: “Everything!” A source, meanwhile, tells Us Weekly the two were ” comfortable and affectionate and seemed socially poised as a couple. The two clearly work not only as a pair, but also independently. [Stacy] really stood on her own. Alexander Payne’s The Descendants has just about everything you need for a male midlife-crisis movie, and more: A big plot of unspoiled family land about to be sold off to developers, sullen teenagers, a wife in a coma. Payne, in his first full-length feature since the 2004 Sideways , pulls out all the stops, including casting George Clooney, an actor who’s aging beautifully but who nonetheless, thankfully, has allowed himself to look his age.
Elisabetta Canalis has moved on from George Clooney to Valentin Chmerkovskiy. Sort of. The Italian model, who split from the Oscar-winning hunk in June , is a contestant on this season of Dancing with the Stars and is paired up with one of the show’s new professionals. But before she Waltzes into America’s living room, Canalis is opening up about Clooney. “At the end of the day I have always seen the end of my relationships as a personal failure,” Canalis tells Italian magazine Chi . “There is nothing ever pretty is saying goodbye.” Canalis adds that she’s typically a “tomboy,” but admits to being a “doormat when it comes to love,” adding: “I’m looking for men who can give me security.” But she rarely finds it. In what can only be interpreted as a diss to the actor, Elisabetta says she has “always seen cold and controlled men as the right ones for me. You would not believe how jealous I am of George Clooney, I can’t be the only one. I want to be at a point in my life where I can dump a hottie like Elisabetta Canalis and not even bat an eye.
