In random ridiculousness news… Man Arrested For Assaulting Mom With Pork Chop An Athens, Georgia man is making national headlines for his bizarre behavior. According to OnlineAthens Tery Bernard Ball Jr. became so upset that his 60-year-old mother didn’t get him cigarettes that he threw a pork chop at her before assaulting her further. Police were called to his home Monday after his mom called the police to report that her son not only assaulted her with swine, but pushed her and head-butted her. Luckily for the mom, Ball’s father was on hand to de-escalate the situation and he jumped on his son and held him down on the kitchen floor until the police arrived, according to OnlineAthens. This is far from crusty Terry’s first run-in with the law, he’s currently on 12 months on probation and has more than a dozen State and Superior Court cases dating to 2008. Get your life together Terry!

The 2017 #HBOB Put The L In LIT The 15th Annual Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase was a dazzling good time bursting with Black girl magic, HBCU band excellence and phenomenal showmanship that rocked a sold out Georgia Dome crowd like never before. Alabama A&M’s Marching Maroon & White, Alabama St’s Mighty Marching Hornets, Jackson St’s Sonic Boom of the South, NC A&T’s Blue & Gold Marching Machine, Texas Southern’s Ocean of Soul and Winston-Salem St’s Red Sea of Sound came thru and KILLED IT. Benedict College’s Marching Band of Distinction made its very FIRST appearance while Bethune-Cookman’s Marching Wildcats returned as the longest standing Final 8 contender and turned all the way up for a sea of screaming fans. Ne-Yo brought the groove and slick moves with a splash of cool. Ruben Studdard popped up and reminded us why he was America’s idol. Overall, the 15th Annual #HBOB was a soaring success and fitting send-off for the Georgia Dome.

The winner was Mike Jackson, and he will appear in a Super Bowl commercial this weekend. According to People , Jackson beat out many other applicants in the clean company’s nationwide search for the bald guy’s stand in. As Mike already has a shaved head and winning smile, he easily snagged the role. A little more about Jackson: he’s a Georgia native who works in sports marketing, and spends his free time working out, traveling around the U.S., and reading. As Mike said in a recent press release: “While it’s impossible to replace the iconic Mr., I’m excited for the opportunity to help people tackle the most seemingly impossible messes while he’s away.” In addition, Jackson also won $20,000 and a lifetime supply of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, and also appears in the 2017 digital calendar. Sheree Whitfield Hit With Lawsuit From Landscaping Company Can Sheree Whitfield pay her bills ? The RHOA star has faced many challenges while building her grand Atlanta mansion but a recent report by RadarOnline claims Sheree hasn’t paid for services done to her property. In court papers obtained from the Magistrate Court of Fulton County in Georgia, contractor company Heritage Landscape is suing Whitfield for $10,012.50 plus $500 in costs. “Mrs. Whitfield contracted the landscaping services of Heritage Landscape to help in the completion of her home,” the claim filed on January 3rd read. “Mrs. Whitfield has paid some (less than half of her bill), although she was happy with the work.” The lawsuit claims Sheree first told the landscaping company that she “did not have the money” at first then blamed the company for “poor work quality.” “We would just like to get the balance owed,” the court papers read. Whitfield has 30 days to file an answer to the claim. Maybe Sheree should hit up Kenya for a loan? IG
