Remy Ma Continues Being Problematic Revolt TV’s State Of The Culture Show isn’t quite what we expected. The debates are powerful, enthusiastic and as intense as we imagine. However, we didn’t quite expect so much problematic material to come out of Remy Ma’s mouth of all people. Joe Budden? Sure. But Remy? Not Remy. The MC has made it a point to defend trash men as often as possible, from Bill Cosby, now to R. Kelly. On the latest episode, Remy tried to defend Kelly by stating that there are plenty of teenagers who want to sleep with older men, that the women in Kelly’s compound aren’t complaining and, finally, that rapists don’t eat the groceries. Are you f**** serious? Isn’t this the same Remy who used pedophilia as a main attack point in her feud with Nicki Minaj? Sigh. Random Ridiculousness: Dog Accidentally Shoots Owner In The Back During Hunting Trip

Ken Redding/Getty Imags Man Says Dog Shot Him While Hunting A New Mexico man is making national headlines for his bizarre story. 74-year-old Sonny Gilligan claims that his dog Charlie almost killed him when he pulled the trigger on a rifle while they were hunting. Gilligan told The Sun-News that as he sat in the front seat of his pickup truck with Charlie and another dog in the back seat, Charlie’s paw got tangled in the trigger of one of his shotguns and it went off. “Charlie got his foot in the trigger of the gun and I leaned forward and he slipped off the seat and caught the trigger — and it shot,” Gilligan said, according to The Sun-News . “It was a freak accident but it’s true, that’s what happened.” The bullet went through Gilligan’s back, broke several of his ribs and shattered his collarbone. According to Gilligan he “passed to the other side” after being in critical condition but first responders brought him back. “I was very fortunate I could get to my phone,” Gilligan said. “The DASO (Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office) first-responders saved my life. If they waited 10 more minutes I would’ve died. I lost so much blood. I know I actually passed to the other side just before getting to the hospital but they were able to revive me through CPR and bring me back. I have so much appreciation to the doctors and first-responders who saved my life.” SHEESH, what would YOU do if your “good boy” accidentally shot you? Luckily for Charlie, his owner says all is forgiven.

Ariyana Davis, of Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High School, has been accepted into every one of the 24 colleges she applied to. Twenty-three of those schools were historically black colleges and universities including most recently Spelman College. The last school was Eastern Illinois University, a predominantly white institution. Looks like there's another achievement that needs to be celebrated because…. Crusty Georgia Man Arrested For Assaulting His Mother With A Pork Chop

In random ridiculousness news… Man Arrested For Assaulting Mom With Pork Chop An Athens, Georgia man is making national headlines for his bizarre behavior. According to OnlineAthens Tery Bernard Ball Jr. became so upset that his 60-year-old mother didn’t get him cigarettes that he threw a pork chop at her before assaulting her further. Police were called to his home Monday after his mom called the police to report that her son not only assaulted her with swine, but pushed her and head-butted her. Luckily for the mom, Ball’s father was on hand to de-escalate the situation and he jumped on his son and held him down on the kitchen floor until the police arrived, according to OnlineAthens. This is far from crusty Terry’s first run-in with the law, he’s currently on 12 months on probation and has more than a dozen State and Superior Court cases dating to 2008. Get your life together Terry!

ATL Billboard Says ‘Black People Are Being Pushed Out Of Atlanta’—But There’s A Deeper Message

WELP! Black People Are Being Pushed Out Of Atlanta” Billboard An anti-gentrification billboard is making national headlines. On Atlanta’s I-285 highway, drivers are seeing a billboard that reads, “Black people are being pushed out of Atlanta”—which is indeed true. In addition to the message, however, there’s a deeper meaning behind it. The billboard is actually advertising a documentary from Black Channel Films. The doc is called “Gentrified” and it’s said to explore “the unspoken ethnic component behind the most devastating socioeconomic movement in American society today.” According to The AJC , the film was shown at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Shrine of the Black Madonna Cultural Center and Bookstore in Atlanta. It was also followed by a Q&A with Mary Gill of WAOK 1380 AM. The documentary will also be shown in New York, Chicago, London, Detroit, Houston and Washington D.C. It’s interesting to see gentrification explored in depth in a project like this. Do YOU think your city has a gentrification problem???

14-Year-Old Linked To Tyga In Tabloid Story Speaks Out Gloria Allred just dropped a bomb on Kyga… The famed lawyer held a press conference today for her latest client, 14-year-old Molly O’Malia aka the aspiring model OK! said Tyga had been carrying on with behind Kylie’s back. TMZ got the footage from the press conference check it out below: Gloria Allred says her 14-year-old client has been forced to reveal her identity after Tyga repeatedly contacted her, and then OK! ran a story about it, claiming Kylie Jenner busted him. Allred held a news conference in NYC with the teenager, a model named Molly O’Malia … who claims Tyga initiated the convo with her, and not the other way around. Allred launched an attack against OK! because she says the magazine poorly pixelated Molly’s image. She says people figured out it was Molly, and have been hounding her about allegedly coming between Kylie and Tyga. Molly, who’s also an aspiring singer, claims Tyga reached out to her … first through Instagram … and she only responded because she thought it was about her music. She says she got skeeved out though when he allegedly asked to FaceTime. Allred says the magazine’s claim the two were “hooking up” is not true and what’s more, portrays Molly “in a completely false light” — and exploited a minor. Despite that … there was no talk of a lawsuit. Tyga’s reps didn’t have a comment. So we’re confused… There is no lawsuit, just a press conference. She’s just a child so we hate to speculate this girl is looking for fame revealing her face and name now, but if she really wanted to stay anonymous we’re not sure a press conference was the way to go. What do you guys think? Will this help her budding singing and modeling career or hurt it. Do you believe Tyga really has a problem and should face charges for pursuing these young girls? So sad… Stephen Hewett-Brown Dies After Being Crushed By An Elevator A 25-year-old New York man is making national headlines for his heroic act on New Year’s Eve. Stephen Hewett-Brown died on December 31 after he pushed a woman out of a faulty elevator before it fatally crushed him. The New York Post reports: ​A 25-year-old man ​wished “Happy New Year” to a woman just before he saved her life by shoving her from a faulty elevator that suddenly took a plunge — but the brave act cost him his own life, witnesses said. Stephen Hewett-Brown, 25, was in the crowded elevator at 131 Broome St. ​on Manhattan’s Lower East Side ​when Erudi Sanchez, 43, who lives in the building, ste​​pped inside around 11:45 p.m. with her 10-year-old nephew to throw out trash. “When I got into the elevator, I felt it dropping and I thought my feet would get caught in the gap but the man pushed me out and said, ‘Happy New Year,’” Sanchez told The Post on Friday in Spanish. But suddenly, the malfunctioning ​elevator dropped farther and Brown’s body was caught between ​it and the third floor, Sanchez said. “I saw he was trapped and the elevator was crushing him. It was awful,” she said. The woman’s son-in-law Emanuel Coronado, 23, desperately tried to pull Brown out, but it was too late. “I feel bad I couldn’t save him. I tried to pull him out but the weight of the elevator was too heavy,” said Coronado, who was still shaken up by the horrific accident. He said a woman in the elevator who appeared to be with Brown was in hysterics as she witnessed him being mangled. “She was crying. He was saying, ‘I can’t breathe. Please help me,’” Coronado recalled. ​“To me, he is a hero. My mother-in-law might not be alive right now.” R.I.P. to this hero. New Jersey Man Admits To Murdering His Wife Kyle Crosby’s horrific murder of his beautiful wife is making national headlines again. Crosby, who was originally thought to be a grieving husband, recently pled guilty to aggravated manslaughter for the 2014 death of his wife Erica Crippen. As previously reported authorities say he sold his deceased wife’s clothes for drug money and his mother was involved in covering up the crime after the couple had a simple argument that turned deadly. ABC 7 reports: A Mount Laurel, N.J., man has pleaded guilty to killing his wife last year on New Year’s Eve and later disposing of her body in a rural area in Maryland, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office announced Tuesday. Kyle Crosby, 29, entered a guilty plea to Aggravated Manslaughter and Hindering Apprehension. Crosby will serve a 31-year sentence in state prison. According officials, Crosby admitted in court that on December 31, 2014, he fatally choked his wife, Erica Crippen, 26, inside their Mount Laurel home and later transported her body to Maryland. Investigators found Crippen’s body March 17 along a rural road in Sykesville, Maryland. She had been missing since New Year’s Eve, and her body was discovered under some branches and brush. Prosecutors have said the body was wrapped in a blanket; her arms, legs and neck were bound with an electrical cord and duct tape was on her face and nose. Crosby’s mother, Jo Crosby, 68, of Sicklerville, N.J., was indicted in April on one count of Hindering Apprehension and one count of Tampering With or Fabricating Physical Evidence. She is free on $12,500 bail. As part of the plea agreement with Kyle Crosby, the charges against his mother will be dismissed at sentencing.2. SMFH…why is he only getting manslaughter?!
