American Idol continues to give us very little to snark about on Season 13. Last night’s two-hour stop in Salt Lake City produced 30 Golden Ticket recipients, 25 of which were given plenty of time on the air in lieu of those tired, overly produced and purposely lame auditions. The judges continued to exude charm and chemistry and the talent continued to come out in droves. What is going on here?!? These five stood out in Utah: Paisley Van Patten sang “When the Lights Go Down” and did so with subtlety and grace. She clearly oozes both confidence and talent. Dexter Roberts possesses everything it takes to win. Mostly because he’s a white guy with a guitar who sings country. But he does it awfully well. Kassandra Castaneda cracked us up by first giving Jennifer Lopez her uncle’s phone number (above) but then turned serious with a great take on Adele’s “Chasing Pavements.” Tiquila Wilson . The name is already a winner. Her pitch and her vocals then made us believe she could literally be the winner, following a rendition of “Someone Like You.” Austin Wolfe went with “Radioactive” and put his own spin on this often-played radio hit. Solid stuff.
You know we’re living in our last days when people go for a stroll on the beach and see headless animal carcasses. Headless Animal Carcasses Found On Beach This is beyond cray-cray. According to AJC: Police in coastal Georgia say they’re investigating the deaths of several headless animals that were found on a Tybee Island beach. Authorities say the headless bodies of a goat and four chickens were found on the beach last week and were removed by the Department of Public Works. Mayor Jason Buelterman told the Savannah Morning News city officials are doing everything in their power to find the person responsible for the carcasses. According to NY Daily News: A Georgia woman found out her boyfriend was cheating on her — so she stabbed him. Randi Marie Houser, 30, of Athens, was charged with aggravated assault by the Athens-Clarke County police for allegedly stabbing her 30-year-old boyfriend, according to OnlineAthens.com. The stabbing occurred after the boyfriend, who was not identified, asked Houser for a ride to work, but Houser did not want to get out of bed. He then pulled the blanket back and Houser attacked him, saying he could call “one of his other women,” the outlet reported. She then drove him to the hospital instead to treat internal injuries. The victim told medical staff he was injured by a piece of glass on the floor, but after Houser admitted to the stabbing to police he said she had recently caught him cheating. The boyfriend suffered internal injuries near his lung, the website reported. You know you’re crazy when you stab a person with one hand and use the other to drive them to the hospital. Toya is a free woman. Toya Speaks After Arrest Wonder what the first order of business will be for the ex-jailbird. According to TMZ: Toya Wright says her stint in jail was one of the worst experiences of her entire life … claiming she’s emotionally scarred … even though she spent less than 24 hours behind bars. As we previously reported, Wright — Lil Wayne’s ex-wife/baby mama — was locked up in Georgia yesterday after cops discovered a warrant out for her arrest during a routine traffic stop. Toya tells us the whole thing stemmed from a speeding ticket that “slipped through the cracks.” But Toya, who appeared on the reality show “Tiny and Toya” — is adamant she will never go back to jail because she’s so traumatized by the things she saw on the inside. Toya wouldn’t get into specifics … but says her fellow inmates were treated “inhumanely.” “I wouldn’t wish jail time for my worst enemy,” Toya says … adding, “What I witnessed was so bad that I don’t even want to leave the house right now.” Toya says she’s even considering turning the experience into a positive by working as an “advocate of better treatment for prisoners.” As for the speeding ticket, Toya says, “Please believe I’m working on lightening up my lead foot.” All this drama over a ticket though?
This guy truly ain’t isht. A Georgia woman successfully sued her cheating ex-fiancé and baby daddy after he kicked her out of their crib and his two kids out when she caught him cheating. According to MailOnline reports : A Georgia man has been ordered to pay his former fiance $50,000 for ‘breach of promise’ and fraud after he left her for another woman. Melissa Cooper successfully sued her former lover Christopher Kelley after she gave up her job and moved in with him only to be thrown out when she discovered his relationship with another woman. Ms Cooper contended in her lawsuit that she quit her job to become a housewife for her former beau, their child and another child he had from a former relationship. She made that sacrifice under the premise she would be his wife. Cooper testified that she was devastated by Kelley’s fraud and breach of promise to marry and that she quit her job to raise the couple’s children in reliance on the promise,’ the ruling cited by CNS said. Her promiscuous partner made his bed by cheating on her multiple times and carrying on a relationship with another woman despite handing her a $10,000 engagement ring, she argued. In 2011, she discovered the secret affair, the second she had found during their relationship, and he demanded she move out of their home – with both children. The scorned would-be spouse then sued the cheating Mr Kelley for fraud and breach of promise to marry. How is this guy gonna kick her out AND make her take his kid by another woman? And it gets worse, the guy tried to save his azz in the lawsuit by claiming their relationship was meretricious, which is defined as “having the nature of prostitution!” In the state’s Appeals Court last month, Mr Kelley unsuccessfully tried to use a legal techincality to argue that the promise to marry was made in a relationship similar to prostitution, according to CNS. The state court of appeals ruled that the relationship did not involve the exchange of money for cohabitation and sexual favors, making the defense inapplicable. Mr Kelley also tried to claim he merely gave Ms Cooper the ring without proposing, but the court not only shot that down, it held it up as proof he never intended to marry her. I never initiated the concept of marriage with her, outside of giving her that ring,’ Mr Kelley testified, according to CNS. ‘I never said the words ‘will you marry me’ to her.’ ‘This testimony, when juxtaposed with Cooper’s testimony about the proposal and her acceptance, can be construed as an admission that Kelley never intended to marry Cooper,’ said the court decision. The latest ruling upheld a previous ruling being appealed by Mr Kelley, it includes damages awarded and attorney’s fees. Serves him right. He sounds like a scumbag. Facebook
