Shakira Gives Birth to a Boy!

Shakira has given birth to her first child. For real this time! A few weeks after Gerard Piqué pranked fans and claimed the singer had welcomed a son into the world, the couple confirmed today that Milan Piqué Mebara was born in Barcelona. He weighed in at 6 lbs, 6 oz. and mother and child are both in excellent condition. Wrote Shakira on her website: “The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification. Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.” Shakira and Piqué announced their pregnancy in September and their child’s gender a month later. Shakira had all she needed to hit the stage rockin’ Sunday night at Baku Crystal Hall in Azerbaijan. The singer, 35, announced in September that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Piqué. It’s since been revealed that Shakira is having a boy. “I felt awesome on stage!” she Tweeted post-performance, sharing a photo of herself flipping her hair. “We really enjoyed tonight!”
