Meek Mill’s House Arrest Extended Over Community Service Discrepancy Can this guy win at ANYTHING??? According to TMZ , Meek Mill’s house arrest has been extended because, once again, he did not follow the judge’s orders. Sources connected to Meek’s camp tell us he got hit with an additional 8 days of house arrest to give him time to complete the right kind of community service, because he volunteered at all the wrong places. According to docs, the judge specified Meek needed to put in 90 days of work with the homeless, Habitat for Humanity or senior citizens and veterans. Meek’s camp says that was never specified, but we’ve seen it in black and white. We’re told Meek spent time visiting schools, helping out with Flint’s water crisis and delivering motivational speeches. Another problem — we’re told Meek only worked 6 days per week. Black Merit Scholar Removed From Graduation For Wearing Kente Cloth A gifted Black teen was forcibly removed from his California high school graduation by police for refusing to remove his traditional African kente cloth according to NY Daily News : Nyree Holmes, 18, was ejected from the ceremony as he walked off the stage on Tuesday at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento. The graduating Cosumnes Oaks High School senior had been urged to discard the item of clothing several times, and was told police would stop him, if it came to that. “I go through shaking all the hands and smiling feeling as if I won,” Holmes wrote Tuesday on Twitter, according to the Atlanta Black Star. “Then when I get to the stairs I see three sheriffs at the bottom of the stairs. They tell me to leave with them and I said, ‘sure guys let’s go.’” After he was booted, Holmes said he and his father tried to retrieve the teen’s diploma, but school officials refused to give it up. But with the help of a black security guard, Holmes was able to get in “through the exit” and claim his diploma, he wrote on Twitter. Holmes felt the need to wear the kente cloth because as a “descendant of slaves, I have no firm connection to my roots in Africa,” he told the ABS. Katt Williams Charged With Battery After Fight In LA Katt Williams is being charged with one count misdemeanor battery after he claims he wad just defending himself against cruel short jokes in LA according to TMZ reports: Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … he’s been charged with one count of misdemeanor battery for the incident in L.A. in March where Katt allegedly struck bystanders in self-defense. Katt told us the guys were cracking short jokes on him after he ran to help victims in a car crash. Meanwhile, back east … prosecutors in Georgia filed a motion to revoke his bond in his bodyguard assault case. The Hall County D.A. said his last arrest — for allegedly throwing a salt shaker at a restaurant manager — was the last straw. If a judge signs off, Katt could be locked up until he goes to trial. He also faces 6 months in jail for the L.A. case. Can’t get right!!!!
