Taylor Lautner Is ‘Proud’ Of New ‘Breaking Dawn’ Trailer

While out promoting new flick ‘Abduction,’ the ‘Twilight’ star had a chance to admire the latest trailer. By Kara Warner Taylor Lautner Photo: Getty Images Generally speaking, Friday is the collective favorite day of the week. For “Twilight” fans, however, Tuesday probably took the cake this week, as September 13 marked the debut of the second official trailer for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” To celebrate the occasion, we picked our top five favorite “Breaking Dawn” trailer moments and then consulted our trusted panel of “Twilight” experts for their esteemed opinions. Then we did one better: we managed to snag the opinion of Taylor Lautner at the Hollywood premiere of his new action thriller, “Abduction,” on Thursday night. “I definitely saw it. I didn’t see the reaction to it, but I’ve been really busy,” he said, sounding slightly apologetic that he hadn’t yet been able to scour the Internets for fan responses. “I’m so proud of it. I think the trailer is great. The movie is amazing, and I cannot wait for everyone to see it.” Lautner also told us recently that he’s done something very few people can say they have: He’s seen “Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” “I’ve seen it a few times,” he said. “I saw it for the first time while we were still filming, so it was a really rough cut, but I’ve seen several versions since then, and it’s getting better and better.” Lautner warned fans to brace themselves for an emotional roller coaster. “You are going to face a lot of emotions, definitely,” he teased. “You are going to be angry. I guarantee you [that] you will cry multiple times. There’s a good mix. It’s definitely different than any of the ones before.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Nicki Minaj And Lil’ Kim Are ‘RapFix’ Favorites For A Reason

Before appearing on Wednesday’s ‘RapFix Live,’ Maino talks to Sway about the femcees’ appeal, in Mixtape Daily. By Rob Markman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim Photo: MTV News / Getty Images Celebrity Favorites: Maino Do the ladies run this mutha? After being deprived of rap femininity for a few years, it seems that women are once again a hot topic in the hip-hop conversation. Take Wednesday’s “RapFix Live” one-year anniversary show , for instance. Not only is Trina making an appearance, but in two separate pre-show fan polls, Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim are leading otherwise male-dominated categories. Minaj is currently leading for Best “RapFix Live” Freestyle , and the Queen Bee is the leading vote-getter in the Best “RapFix” Moment poll. It’s especially interesting considering that the two ladies were tangled in one of the biggest rap beefs of the year as well. Maino knows both Kim and Nicki, and when he appeared on Sway’s Shade 45 morning radio show, he broke down the talents of both. “I told her years ago that if I believed in any new female, I really felt like she actually had it because she rapped very feminine, she had a lot of style with her,” Maino said of his early interactions with Nicki. “I saw her coming years ago, way before her name was even Nicki Minaj. I saw her actually being able to do it.” When Maino first came into the game with his debut single “Rumors,” Lil’ Kim was an early supporter, helping him navigate his way through the industry. “Kim is legendary, man; household name that’s gonna last forever,” he said. “I just don’t think that she maintained the work ethic to maintain what we wanted her to have, and that’s to be in the spotlight continuously. Some people are not built for that 10-year run of nonstop working, like a Jay-Z.” The “Hi Hater” rapper said that, with today’s fans, the only thing that matters is current hits, and while Kim has a powerful catalog, she needs some new bangers to return her to rap prominence. “She took time off. When you take time off, you kind of hurt yourself, because in this game, they judge you by today,” he said before offering advice to his onetime collaborator: “Get back to making hot music, because at the end of the day, that’s all it is.” Catch Lloyd Banks, Maino, Trina and the Outlawz on the “RapFix Live” one-year anniversary show on Wednesday, September 14, at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com! ‘Point Break,’ ‘Sparkle’ Get The Remake Treatment

Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks attached to update of 1976’s ‘Sparkle.’ By Jocelyn Vena Jordin Sparks Photo: Getty Images We can add two more films to the “classics” getting the reboot treatment in Hollywood: New versions of 1991’s “Point Break” and 1976’s “Sparkle” are reportedly in the works. TheWrap.com reports that Alcon Entertainment is currently working on a reimagining of surfer-heist flick “Point Break,” which starred Keanu Reeves as FBI agent Johnny Utah who goes under cover and hangs 10 with a group of surfing criminals, led by Patrick Swayze. The new film will also include an extreme sport, but no word on whether it will still be surfing. Producer Michael DeLuca explained that the Kathryn Bigelow-directed original was “a Zen meditation on testosterone fueled action and manhood in the late 20th century” that they want to re-create for the 21st century. In that other remake news, according to Variety, Sony Pictures is readying a remake of “Sparkle,” with Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston (who will also executive produce) rumored to star. Mike Epps has also been attached to the project, with production slated to begin next month. The original film’s plot, inspired by the story of the Supremes, revolved around three Harlem sisters who become a successful 1950s girl group and experience the pitfalls of fame. The new movie will tell the story of an aspiring singer (Sparks) in 1968 Detroit. This will be Houston’s first big screen film since 1996’s “The Preacher’s Wife.” This is Sparks’ feature film debut. Freddie Gibbs To Talk Straight, ‘No Filla’ On ‘RapFix Live’!

Gary, Indiana’s own Gangsta Gibbs will swing through on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com. By Rob Markman Freddie Gibbs Photo: Roger Kisby/ Getty Images The real is back! On Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, “RapFix Live” returns with Freddie Gibbs , who will hit the couch to discuss everything from coming up in Gary, Indiana, to signing with Young Jeezy’s CTE label to his upcoming project Cold Day in Hell. While rap has diversified its cast of characters to include MCs from all walks of life, Gibbs has remained unapologetically gangster . Originally signed by Interscope in 2005, Gangsta Gibbs struggled to get the label to see his vision and was eventually released from his deal in October 2007. But in 2009, Freddie proved that there was room for his brand of music. With his The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik, Gibbs made fans take notice. His grind paid off, and in 2010, Freddie earned himself a spot on XXL magazine’s 2010 Freshmen cover. He went on to drop the independent release Str8 Killa No Filla on Decon Records. In April, the Midwest MC made his biggest move yet when he inked with Young Jeezy’s CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment). Since the signing, the pair have released quite a few songs, including their hustle ode “Run DMC,” “Do It for You” and “Rough,” a song off of the Snowman’s latest mixtape, The Real Is Back 2. “RapFix Live” will also bring you backstage at the Rock the Bells tour stop in New York City this past weekend. On Saturday, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Slaughterhouse and Mobb Deep all performed, and “RFL” has all the exclusives for you as well as our regular Get in the Game and Weekend Rotation segments. Catch Freddie Gibbs on “RapFix Live” Wednesday, September 7, at 4 p.m. ET on MTV.com! Related Artists Freddie Gibbs

Adele Hints At Recording James Bond Theme

British songstress talks of 007 and her nervous habit of vomiting before shows in recent interviews. By James Montgomery Adele Photo: Andreas Rentz/ Getty Images One week after she wowed the VMA audience with her somber, sonorous performance of “Someone Like You,” Adele is making headlines for far less glamorous reasons thanks to an interview in October’s U.K. Vogue. In her cover story, Adele talks about battling stage-fright — saying she always “freaks out” before a performance — and added that, on a few occasions, those jitters have manifested themselves in more palpable (and sort of gross) ways. “One show in Amsterdam, I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit,” she told the magazine. “I’ve thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels, I projectile vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don’t like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot. “I puke quite a lot before going on stage. Though never actually on stage,” she added. “But then, I sh– myself before everything … the bigger the freak-out, the more I enjoy the show.” Of course, reverse peristalsis isn’t the only reason Adele’s been in the headlines recently. Over the weekend, she also appeared on the U.K.’s “The Jonathan Ross Show,” where she stoked rumors that she was in line to record the theme for the next installment of the James Bond series , set to hit theaters next year. “I’m going back in the studio in November, fingers crossed,” Adele said. When asked by Ross what she’d be recording, she responded: “Well, this is actually a theme, what I’ve got to do. Wow, that’s really giving something away!” When Ross began humming the iconic Bond theme, Adele blushed and covered her mouth with her hand, before saying, “No, it’s a concept.” A spokesperson for chart-dominating Brit’s label could not be reached for comment about the 007 rumors by press time. Adele will return to the states in October for a run of shows added after she scrapped her North American tour due to a bout with laryngitis. Demi Lovato Teases Tour Plans

Following two shows slated for September and the release of her album Unbroken, Lovato says a bigger tour may be in the works. By Jocelyn Vena Demi Lovato Photo: Christopher Polk/ Getty Images When fans heard that Demi Lovato would be playing two intimate shows in mid-September, they promptly bought up the tickets. Lovato’s concerts , slated for the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on September 17 and Club Nokia in Los Angeles on September 23, sold out in minutes — 30 minutes, to be exact. When MTV News caught up with Lovato last week in Los Angeles, the singer explained that the gigs are meant to serve as a “thank-you” to her fans, who have been so supportive of her and her new music, including the chart-topping “Skyscraper.” “It definitely is [a preview]. I wanted to say thank you to my fans,” she said. “I wanted to show them how thankful I am for the support they gave me for ‘Skyscraper.’ At this point, ‘Skyscraper’ has done so well because of them, and I want to show them how thankful I am. “And hopefully when I perform the concerts, Unbroken will be coming out. I’ll be really nervous to get back onstage for the first time since then, but I’ll be really excited,” Lovato said of her new album, which drops September 20. Does this mean that Lovato is planning a bigger tour for her Lovatics? “It could be a tease for a bigger tour. I don’t know,” she said. In addition to “Skyscraper,” Unbroken will feature songs with Iyaz, Missy Elliott and Timbaland , Jason Der

T.I. Moved From Halfway House To Undisclosed Location

Officials cite ‘transportation issue’ following his ride to halfway house in a luxury tour bus on Wednesday. By Gil Kaufman T.I. Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images T.I. barely had enough time to unpack his things at a halfway house in Atlanta before Federal Bureau of Prisons officials moved him to another location on Thursday. The rapper’s lawyer confirmed for The Associated Press that the MC has been moved from the halfway house he entered on Wednesday to another, undisclosed location because of a “transportation issue” involving T.I.’s use of a luxury tour bus to the facility. On Wednesday, T.I. was released from a federal prison in Arkansas to the community living facility in Georgia, where he was slated to serve out the rest of his 11-month sentence for probation violation. He was followed by VH1 cameras on his journey as part of a reality show slated to air in December that will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at his life with wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Lawyer Steve Sadow did not specify why T.I. (born Clifford Harris) was moved, but said the action was not drug-related and that he was working to resolve the situation. “There appears to be confusion surrounding the method of transportation,” Sadow said. T.I. left the Forrest City low-security prison in Arkansas in the tinted-window bus, which was followed by four other vehicles. “The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!!” the rapper tweeted shortly after his release. “Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!” CNN reported that T.I. was moved to the U.S. penitentiary in Atlanta on Friday. Sadow said Tip had offered to provide his own transportation between Arkansas and Georgia, but officials apparently objected to the use of the bus (and an attendant entourage of private SUVs) and were reviewing if it may have violated his furlough agreement. LMFAO Call David Guetta A ‘Party Starter’

French DJ, who just dropped Nothing but the Beat, is the ‘happiest person you’ll ever meet,’ SkyBlu tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena LMFAO at the 2011 VMAs Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images LOS ANGELES — David Guetta’s just-dropped new album, Nothing but the Beat, features a handful of A-list contributors, including Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, will.i.am, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Akon and Usher. It’s Guetta’s latest entry into the world of mainstream music, and it seems that everyone in pop is scrambling to work with him. When MTV News caught up with dance duo LMFAO, who worked with the French house-music DJ on the 2010 track “Gettin’ Over You” (also featuring Fergie and Chris Willis), they revealed the real reason why everyone in the business wants to hop in the studio with Guetta. “Well, he is a party starter; great DJ, great personality,” RedFoo told MTV News last week before the 2011 Video Music Awards . “He shares his software with you. [He’s like] ‘Here’s the whole bundle, enjoy.’ I don’t think we’re supposed to talk about that … but he would.” RedFoo’s party partner, SkyBlu, said Guetta is such a pleasure to work with because he’s an easygoing guy. “[He’s the] happiest person you’ve ever met. He’ll put a smile on your face no matter how bad your day’s going. [If] you’re gonna hang out with David, you’re gonna have a smile on your face.” While they didn’t share whether they had any plans to work with Guetta again, the guys did reveal that they shot the video for their next single, “Sexy and I Know It,” in L.A. earlier this week. The 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards have wrapped, but the real action is just getting started!
