MTV Movie Awards Go Live Tonight! Who Will Win Big?

The Girl on Fire and the Boy Who Lived are destined for Golden Popcorn greatness, while big things are in store for ‘Dark Knight Rises’ and ‘Magic Mike’ fans as well. You have no shortage of films and stars to root for when tuning into the big show tonight (June 3) at 9 p.m. ET, and that only makes the decisions harder. How can you possibly choose between supporting the Boy Who Lived’s last night at the Movie Awards and Katniss Everdeen’s first time in the arena? Too much pressure! Still, as in every competition, there will be winners and losers at this year’s show, with plenty of cause for triumph and heartbreak. And while we’re still hours away from knowing exactly who those victors are, we’ve got some sneaking suspicions about who will wind up owning the night. Keep reading for our predictions: “The Hunger Games” Before Iron Man and the rest of “The Avengers” sucked all the air out of the box office, 2012’s biggest commercial titan was the Girl on Fire. Tonight at the Movie Awards, Katniss doesn’t have to worry about Earth’s mightiest heroes — only Captain America and Thor are nominated for Best Hero , and it will take a miracle to boost them to the top — and can instead focus on main rivals “Bridesmaids” and “Harry Potter.” Fans have rallied behind “Hunger Games” in a massive way over the past year, and with a leading nine nominations to its name, the odds are most certainly in this movie’s favor for ruling the show tonight. “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” This is Harry’s final time to shine at the Movie Awards. As the fourth highest-grossing picture of all time, it’s safe to say that there are more than a few fans hoping for some good old-fashioned “Deathly Hallows” domination. Best Cast should be a lock for “Potter,” if only to acknowledge the phenomenal work of scenery-chewers Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes. It’s neck-and-neck between Potter and Katniss for Best Hero, but we’re placing our money on the Boy Wizard. And a Movie of the Year win is not out of the question, either. It has a huge obstacle to overcome in the increasingly hot “Hunger Games,” but as Lord Voldemort learned the hard way, you can never put Potter down for the count. “The Dark Knight Rises” Fans No matter who you’re rooting for at the Movie Awards, it’s the fans who will walk away the winners — Batman fans in particular. Christopher Nolan, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Gary Oldman will all be on hand to present exclusive “Dark Knight Rises” footage at the show, in case you haven’t heard. Though we’re still in the dark regarding what exactly we’ll see, Movie Awards director Hamish Hamilton has seen the top-secret footage, and he’s “telling you, it’s good.” Expect this footage to be the talk of the town (or at least the Twitterverse) long after the show ends. Shirtless-Men Enthusiasts Another someone with an outside shot at dominating the Movie Awards conversation tonight is Channing Tatum, who finds himself nominated for multiple awards, including Best Kiss and Best Hero. Don’t count on him winning either of those awards — the former is all “Twilight,” and the latter is a battle of the bows and wands — but who needs a Golden Popcorn statuette when you have abs to put Taylor Lautner to shame? There’s growing buzz that Tatum is going to bring some of his “Magic Mike” shirtless magic to Movie Awards viewers tonight, so if you’re a fan of hot men sans clothes, you might be this year’s biggest winner. Russell Brand Finally, hats off to the man who’s going to keep the trains powered by farts tonight: Russell Brand, host of the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. Mark Wahlberg’s threats aside, we’re very confident Brand is going to absolutely tear it up at the show this year, if his past performances as host of the VMAs are any indication. Casting news continues to trickle out for the film based on the wild life and times of CBGB, none of which is quite as eye-opening as word that the story of one of New York City’s most legendary, lamented live-music venues will be filmed largely in… Savannah, Georgia. So it goes! We get some stuntbozo driving a sportscar into a Sbarro for Jerry Bruckheimer, and Savannah gets Malin Åkerman as Debbie Harry , Rupert Grint as Cheetah Chrome, Joel David Moore as Joey Ramone, and Alan Rickman in the aforementioned role of club proprietor Hilly Kristal, all reviving the dawn of punk and new wave in the edgy metropolis where the Girl Scouts were founded Hollywood honchos go to self-immolate . Rock on, bitches : All of the movie’s interior shots will be done at Meddin Studios, which will be transformed to look like the iconic New York club, said director Randall Miller. “We’re going to build the interior of the club on the stages here,” Miller said. “Then the plan is we’ll do some shooting on the streets of downtown Savannah — and finally a few days in New York. “We’re using both Georgia and New York for New York,” he joked. “Savannah has a kind of downtown area that could really work for so many cities,” Miller said. “That translates pretty well in what we’re doing.” Fine, do what you’ve gotta do. Phillip Phillips ‘Excited’ For ‘American Idol’ Finale

 isn’t that different from many of you. And, like you, the guy doesn’t always feel like showing up to work when he’s feeling sick. But when attendance means a shot at a major-label recording contract and potential stardom, you suck it up and punch the clock even when you aren’t feeling it. With just one more performance before Wednesday night’s coronation show, Phillips, 21, who has struggled with a painful case of kidney stones the entire season, is happy that the end is near. “Yeah, I’ve been sick the whole show,” said Phillips in a press conference on Monday, according to The Hollywood Reporter . Seated next to his rival, 16-year-old Jessica Sanchez, Phillips admitted that the painful condition has affected his singing on the show at times. “I’m doing all right. It’s almost over, so I’m excited.” As viewers may have noticed, Phillips has been absent from the weekly Ford video segments. A source close to the show telling the magazine that the singer has been experiencing pain that is “so severe” that he’s been given special permission to sit out the physically exhausting shoots. TMZ reported last week that Phillips’ doctors ordered him to undergo “immediate surgery” or face further complications. The singer said he wanted to put off the procedure to make it through the show’s finale, despite the fact that the medication he’s taking causes dry mouth, which has had some impact on his singing. Citing several sources, the site reported that when Phillips returned to Georgia for his “Idol” home visit, his doctor was alarmed at the pawn shop worker’s condition. Recovery from the kidney surgery would take at least six weeks. Phillips has taken a firm stand on the surgery, but he appears to be loosening up a bit when it comes to his equally adamant rejection of “Idol”‘s attempts to get him to jazz up his bland jeans and t-shirt wardrobe. He told the Reporter that he might switch things up a bit for Tuesday (May 22) night’s show. “You might be intrigued,” he said. “I might be looking a little sexy.” Phillips has been struggling 
, but rival Sanchez has also been making some serious sacrifices. “Right now people my age are going to prom and getting ready for homecoming,” she said. “I’m here performing in front of celebrities, singing with celebrities … singing in front of millions of people.” The Chula Vista, California native, who has a chance to be the youngest “Idol” champ and the first female to win 
 in five season, is happy to miss prom to get a chance to sing with original “Dreamgirls” star Jennifer Holliday on Wednesday night’s two-hour finale. But Sanchez might want also want to dodge the many online oddsmaker’s sites if she wants to keep her hopes up for Tuesday’s last singing round. Deadline Hollywood reported that betting sites are tipping heavily in favor of Phillips, with Ireland’s Intrade giving him a 78 percent chance of winning, while an “Idol”-focused wagering site puts him as the favorite with 4 to 13 odds over Jessica’s 5 to 2 odds. That means that you will get a $4 profit for every $13 you bet on Phillips, while Jessica will earn a $5 profit for every $2 bet. The Situation Opens Up About Rehab, Snooki And Sobriety

‘I’m not gonna lie, it feels like you’re not gonna recover,’ the ‘Jersey Shore’ star tells MTV News in an exclusive post-rehab interview. By Gil Kaufman, with reporting by Sway Calloway Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Photo: MTV News The mantra you often hear from people in recovery is “one day at a time.” And two months after entering a facility to deal with a prescription-medication addiction, “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino knows exactly what that means. “Ever since I’ve been out, I’m not gonna lie … it’s not easy,” Sorrentino told MTV News’ Sway in an exclusive interview in which the “Shore” star talks about his struggle to get sober and his attempts to make amends with his “Shore” roomies, especially soon-to-be-mom Snooki . “But at the same time, where I’m at right now, I’m at a good place. But it took a little bit to get there. In the beginning? A lot of rainy days, so to speak. A lot of rainy days.” In the candid interview, Sorrentino opened up about how he got hooked on prescription pills while denying rumors that any illicit substances were involved. With a renewed, more focused sparkle in his eye, the drama king “Shore” viewers loved to hate in recent seasons said he could barely recognize the man he’d become under the grip of addiction as he recounted the struggle of his first days in rehab. “Your first day is detox,” he said of the program he attended. “It’s not a pleasurable experience at all. … In the beginning, for sure, when I was [at the facility] in Utah, I’d wake up and just be extremely disappointed with myself. Like, ‘I can’t believe I got here. How did I get here?’ ” Mike said he worried about how his addiction would impact his family, his health and his mind, and at one point, he wondered if he’d end up another tragic Hollywood headline if he pushed things too far. The hardest part for him, he said, was the headlong rush of emotions he felt once he began to come out of his drug fog, a torrent of feelings he’d been blocking that nearly overwhelmed him. “I’m not gonna lie, it feels like you’re not gonna recover,” he said about that emotional roller coaster. “It feels like an impossible deed … [but] day-by-day it gets better.” Now that the “old Mike” is back, Sorrentino said he’s gotten supportive emails from much of this “Shore” TV family over the past two months, but the one relationship he still needs to repair is his once-close bond with Nicole ” Snooki ” Polizzi. “She had my back and I had her back too,” he said of the formerly tight duo. “We were close for a long time. … I am going to say that I am upset that we’re not as close as we are today. I care about the girl, for sure.” Mike said Snooki did tell him she was worried about him and asked if he was OK during the throes of his addiction, questions he brushed off at the time. When asked by Sway if there was anything he’d done that he’d want to apologize to Snooki for, Sorrentino was quick to answer. “Hurting her feelings,” he said. “I would never want to hurt that girl’s feelings. That girl is very special to me. Casey Anthony to Be Subpoenaed, Flushed Out of Hiding in Defamation Case

After 10 months in hiding, Casey Anthony may soon resurface after being subpoenaed in a lawsuit by Zenaida Gonzalez, a.k.a. Zanny the Nanny. Investigators have been waiting outside her residence in Florida for days to serve her with a subpoena in a defamation lawsuit filed by Gonzalez . “Our investigation team has had her whereabouts pinned down,” says Gonzalez’s lawyer, Matt Morgan . “Their backs were against the wall.” “Her attorneys said that they would accept service on her behalf.” Gonzalez filed suit over Anthony’s comments in 2008 that a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez had kidnapped Anthony’s 2-year-old daughter Caylee . The toddler was found dead and Anthony was charged with murder. She was found not guilty after a sensational trial in July and went into seclusion. There was no babysitter by that name, but Gonzalez – who had nothing to do with Casey – claimed defamation because the two names are the same. The defamation case has proceeded , with Anthony living in a secret location in Florida (where she must remain due to her probation for check fraud). A judge finally ordered that Casey Anthony’s attorneys must disclose her whereabouts so that she may be served and answer questions under oath. Anthony had planned to leave the country after her probation was finished in September, but she now will must return to Orlando to face Gonzalez. Gonzalez, who is seeking unspecified damages, is “happy” to hear that Casey “will be held accountable just like everybody else,” says her attorney.

Erin Andrews and Chace Crawford are dating, according to reports. The genetically gifted pair have been spotted out and about in New York several times now and have celebrity gossip sites buzzing about their status. Crawford been out on “a couple” dates with Andrews, Us reports. “They’re getting to know each other,” but there’s a connection , their source says. Andrews, 34, is a well-known sportscaster on ESPN, although her physical attributes often earn her much more attention than her actual reporting. Despite holding her own for many years in the male-dominated world of sports, she may be best known for the hotel peephole tape that went viral. Michael David Barrett published the Erin Andrews nude video online, and is currently in prison after the FBI arrested him on a litany of charges. Perv. Chace Crawford, 26, is a series regular on Gossip Girl and has been named “Summer’s Hottest Bachelor” by People . The 26-year-old is also considered hot. The Bachelorette is back in full swing, and with it, all the scripted drama, misleading promos and man tears we’ve come to expect over the years. It doesn’t get any better than this … for us. Emily might beg to differ. After a season premiere that featured memorable first impressions – some good, some not so good – the remaining men took another shot tonight.
