Dustin Diamond is still in custody following his arrest for stabbing a man at a bar in Port Washington, Wisconsin, which he allegedly claims was in self defense. After cops say Dustin Diamond stabbed a man , he was charged with recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon. Diamond, who was interviewed after he left the Grand Avenue Saloon, told law enforcement officers he was defending his 27-year-old fiancée Amanda Schutz. Wait … someone is engaged to marry Screech!? In all seriousness, Diamond is claiming self-defense and reportedly seeking private counsel. He was set to appear in court a second time on Monday. According to a criminal complaint, the former Saved By the Bell cast member declined to shake the hand of a woman who was bumping into his girlfriend. Soon after, Dustin said, a man confronted him. He said in the criminal complaint that he decided to pay, get their coats and leave before a “brawl” erupted. Only that’s exactly what happened before he left. While going to pay and/or get their coats, he says he heard his girlfriend scream, and turned to see Amanda bleeding and two men holding her by the hair. Then a bar patron grabbed him, and “I moved his arm up and around, and I had the knife in my hand, or the, ah, pen in my hand,” he said in the complaint. Eventually, Schutz was released, and they left. During the interview, an officer observed: “Twice during his conversation with Diamond, as [he] was talking about having a pen in his hand he referred to it as a knife, and then corrected himself saying it was a pen.” Diamond was confronted with a video from the bar and told that cops had found a knife, possibly with blood on it. He then admitted he had a knife, the complaint states : “Diamond stated that he did not intentionally stab the individual, but that chaos broke out and people were grabbing at him and that he swung his arms to break free.” Shortly Diamond and Schutz left the bar, they were pulled over in his white SUV by the police, and he was taken into custody after the weapon was found. During a search of the vehicle, cops discovered a “stiletto folding knife with a 3.75-inch blade, which uses a thumb stud and assisted opening mechanism.” The alleged stabbing victim, identified only as “Casey,” was also interviewed and told police that he saw Diamond “being negative and fighting with people.” Saved By the Bell Cast: Then and Now 1. He said he approached Diamond and “had pushed him on one or two occasions.” Casey said that at one point, Diamond reached toward him and then left. He said he didn’t see the knife and initially didn’t realize he had been cut. He suffered a half-inch, non-life threatening puncture stab wound under his right armpit. Witnesses say a woman, identified as Marie B., was looking at her phone when Schutz shoved her, “stating something to the effect of, ‘that’s enough pictures.'”  A fight between them ensued after that. Schutz was charged with disorderly conduct for her role in the melee, but unlike Diamond was released without bond. Another witness said she saw a knife in Diamond’s hands and heard him exclaim, “get them off my wife” but didn’t see anyone attacking her and told him to leave.
