Gary Busey, Girlfriend Steffanie Sampson Welcome Son!

Actor Gary Busey and his girlfriend, Steffanie Sampson, welcomed their first child together early Tuesday morning. Congratulations to the new parents! The 65-year-old Oscar nominee (for 1978’s Buddy Holly Story ) and the 40-year-old Sampson named the boy – born at 6:40 a.m. – Luke Samson Busey. He weighed in at 6 lbs., 7 oz. “This feels like a dream,” the pair said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight . “We feel blessed and are overwhelmed with happiness at Luke’s arrival.” Gary Busey’s 38-year-old son Jake (with ex Judy Helkenberg) was the couple’s first hospital visitor. What wonderful, celebratory news for all involved!

In a new twist, Dr. Conrad Murray’s attorney, Michael Flanagan, says his client made a mistake in his initial interview in the Michael Jackson homicide investigation. “Dr. Murray’s timeline of events the day Michael Jackson died is wrong,” he says. “Doctors make mistake. That is what he did, and it was simply that. A mistake.” Really, Conrad Murray? Jackson’s personal physician is changing the story he initially told police in the aftermath of MJ’s death – a significant move for the prosecution and defense. According to police reports, Murray told the LAPD that he gave Propofol to Jackson at 10:50 a.m., then left Jackson alone for two minutes to go to the bathroom.

The Super Bowl has come and gone, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts and, still, Kim Kardashian does not have a diamond on her finger. A couple weeks ago, rumors had circulated that as soon as Reggie Bush won his championship ring, he’d follow up by placing a similar piece of jewelry – with a very different meaning – on his girlfriend’s hand. Alas, Kim is still single, but she sounds perfectly fine with that arrangement. “I’ve been married before I was 19 and I want to take my time,” she said in Las Vegas on Valentine’s Day. “There are rumors like, ‘Kim is pressuring him,’ and there is none of that at all, I really want to take my time. We are young and we’re having fun.” That actually sounds… mature and grounded. Who are you, and what have you done with Kim Kardashian?!? “We need to just support each other in every thing we do, so it’s just about spending time together,” she added. The couple will have plenty of opportunities for that. Bush has an entire off-season ahead of him and, well, Kim doesn’t do much aside from pose on red carpets. They can probably fit in some quality time in there somewhere.

While American Idol viewers are already comparing the aforementioned season nine contestant with David Archuleta, the former runner-up proved this week that he won’t be replaced without a fight. The talented young singer took to the stage with Jordin Sparks at the 2010 Jordin Sparks Experience, a pre-Super Bowl event held at Miami Beach on Wednesday night. Don’t they look adorable together? The former American Idol alumni performed a duet to “No Air,” the single Sparks originally made famous with Chris Brown. Could she have replaced Brown with anyone more opposite from him? We doubt it. This, of course, is a big compliment to David. The day he beats his girlfriend is the day Jon Gosselin starts caring about his kids. Watch the pair entertain the crowd below.
