2014 has been dubbed The Year of the Quarterback, and few field generals have turned in better performances than Tom Brady’s epic gun-slinging display in Foxborough yesterday. Brady threw for 354 yards and 5 touchdowns, leading the Patriots to a 51-23 rout of the Chicago Bears. It’s the kind of game that speaks for itself, but this is the social media age, of course, so what’s the point of accomplishing something if you can’t brag about it on Instagram? Brady’s supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen posted the above photo to her IG page, along with a caption reading, “So happy for my love!!! Go Pats!!! 51 points!!!” Of course, by his own admission, Brady pouts and whines when things don’t go his way, so Gisele certainly has cause to be happy. But even so, some consider the pic to be kind of a douchey move on the Bundchen-Brady’s part. We’re sure Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari wouldn’t take a gloating photo together if the Bears had won. Of course, that might have something to do with the fact that Jay and Kristin don’t really seem to like each other, but still! Hey, if your Aunt Edna can get 400 likes every time her cat squeezes into a small space, certainly Tommy Terrific deserves some social media props for one of the best games of his storied career. Although, to put things in perspective, we feel the need to point out that Tom didn’t even turn in the top performance of the week.
