Justin Bieber ‘Never Say Never’ Ad To Air During ‘Glee’ Super Bowl 2011 Episode

Who says that young girls don’t care about Super Bowl Sunday? This year there’s a big reason for tweens, teens and non-football fans to get in on the action. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new spot for Justin Bieber’s “Never Say Never” 3-D flick will run during the super special post-Super Bowl episode of “Glee.” The 30-second commercial is set to air during the February 6 episode of the hit Fox comedy. The film opens one week later, on Valentine’s Day weekend. THR further reports that the ad will be shown during “Glee” and not the Super Bowl proper since the film’s target demographic is more likely to tune in to the musical TV show than the big game. This is not the first time Bieber has teamed up with a major sporting event to support a release. During Game 3 of last year’s World Series, the teen pop star debuted a mini-music video for the unplugged version of his song “Never Say Never” to promote his acoustic album, My Worlds Acoustic. Bieber’s flick isn’t the only movie taking advantage of the Super Bowl’s massive viewership. Several blockbusters will air commercials on Fox sometime during the evening, whether it’s preshow, during the game or, in Bieber’s case, postshow. It reportedly costs about $3 million for 30 seconds of airtime on the big night. Variety reports that the movies “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” “Super 8,” “Thor,” “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” “Cowboys and Aliens,” “Priest,” “Kung Fu Panda 2,” “Just Go With It,” “Battle: Los Angeles,” “Limitless,” “Rango” and “The Eagle” all will have commercials broadcast during Super Bowl Sunday.

‘American Idol’ Hopeful Travis Orlando Impresses Judges

‘Idol’ premiere auditioner is a bespectacled Bronx native who’ll take his touching, hard-knock story to Hollywood. By Mawuse Ziegbe Travis Orlando auditions on “American Idol” Wednesday Photo: FOX Travis Orlando was the final New Jersey auditioner to face the three-judge panel on Wednesday night’s (January 19) “American Idol” premiere, and they clearly saved one of the best for last. Sporting a snug red T-shirt and skinny jeans, the slender, bespectacled Bronx native first won over judges with a tender rendition of the Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby,” in a delicately soulful voice that newbie judge Jennifer Lopez later called “pretty” and “sweet.” Clearly feeling the teen singer’s cover, Steven Tyler asked to hear more, and Orlando obliged with Jason Mraz’s “I’m Yours,” which scored approving nods from judge Randy Jackson. However, despite his sugary vocals, Orlando entered the “Idol” judging session with a scrappy backstory. The 16-year-old took viewers on a tour of his rough Bronx neighborhood near the Grand Concourse thoroughfare, an area he described as being plagued with murder and crime, as he and some family members walked past a curbside shrine to a fallen neighbor. “You have robberies, you have killings — anything you can possibly imagine goes on here,” Orlando said. The teen crooner also spoke candidly about living in homeless shelters for a few years, when the tight-knit Orlando clan fell on hard times after their patriarch fell ill and they succumbed to the recession. Despite the adversity, Orlando said his twin brother, Timmy — who he admitted is nothing like him — supported him and told him to keep his head up and believe in his talent. So it was only fitting that not only was Orlando’s family waiting for him with Ryan Seacrest while he auditioned, but they bum-rushed the room with glee when the judges announced Orlando was headed to Hollywood. The final audition of the day took a heartfelt emotional turn as the twins embraced and fought back tears. As the last of the 51 West Coast-bound “Idol” crooners, Orlando said he wanted his story to inspire others to chase their dreams, regardless of the circumstances. The teen singer tearfully signed off by saying he wanted to “prove to other people that anyone can do this.” What did you think of “American Idol” on Wednesday? Let us know in the comments! Katie Holmes is a Strung-Out, Drugged-Up Mess, Tabloid Claims

Pity Katie Holmes. She’s been trying to leave Tom Cruise for, like, almost as long as they’ve been a thing. She just can’t quit that crazy Scientologist . What gives?! Drugs. Lots and lots of drugs. At least if you take Star’s word for it … and how CAN’T you!? Look at the photo of her below! What a MESS!!!! Gotta be strung out, right? It couldn’t just be a shot of her looking tired at the airport without makeup or something like that … no way. None. ADDICTION NIGHTMARE : Now we know why she stays. It all makes sense . Is this meant to imply that Tom actually drugs Katie into submission, or is he just her hookup for the really high-grade heroin and cocaine she loves? Guess we’ll have to pick up a copy at the grocery store to learn the real details. NOTE: We will not be buying this or any Star issue in any way, shape or form.

Robert Pattinson Gets ‘Hassled Too Much,’ Garrett Hedlund Says

‘He gets a lot of people following him around,’ ‘On the Road’ star say of fellow heartthrob at the Golden Globes. By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Garrett Hedlund on the 2011 Golden Globes Awards red carpet Photo: Steve Granitz/ WireImage Garrett Hedlund has already scored some unforgettable memories on the set of his Beat Generation flick “On the Road,” but getting heartthrob tips from co-star Kristen Stewart’s rumored flame Robert Pattinson is not among them. MTV News caught up with the “Country Strong” actor on the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday (January 16), and while he admitted that they chopped it up when Pattinson popped by the “Road” set to visit his lady friend, he didn’t score any gems on how to handle his budding screen-idol status. “You’re trying to milk me for great little things; I got nothing on it,” Hedlund shrugged to MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. “He’d come out to set a couple times and visit. It was great.” The “Tron Legacy” actor had fun hanging out with the world’s most famous onscreen vampire, but added that he sympathized with all the attention Pattinson has to grapple with constantly. “People just sort of hassle him around too much,” he said. “He’s a good guy, real good guy, and he gets a lot of people following him around. It’s not an easy thing.” Aside from seeing the effects of “Twilight” mania up close, Hedlund recently dished that filming “Road” had some trippy moments, including the last night of production when the actor spent time with 89-year-old Carolyn Cassady, the real-life inspiration for the book’s character Camille. “She was just so wonderful and so genuine to all of us and so happy to be there. At the end of the dinner, me and Sam Riley … walked her hand in hand up to Vesuvio’s, the bar where all these guys used to drink at. I remember the sole of her shoe had sort of come undone and started flapping, but I took off my boot and took off one of the socks and put it over the shoe so it intacted the sole. So we kept on walking,” he said. “It’s such an incredible, mind-blowing night.” We’ve got the Golden Globes covered!
