Glee: The Canonization of St. Kurt [Video]

The cast of Glee is full of characters that are lovably unlikable. Except for Babygay Kurt. He is perfect in every way. And in case you didn’t realize that, there was an entire episode to drive the point home. More

Rihanna Wants (Male) Kids With Matt Kemp

Is Rihanna ready to settle down? In the December issue of Interview , Kanye West interviews the singer, who is much happier these days, and hints that motherhood may be on the horizon. “It could be a year from now,” she said. Seriously? MOTHER-TO-BE: Rihanna is, just not anytime soon … probably. Of course, “It could be 10 years from now. Whenever is right, I don’t really plan the age,” Rihanna tells the magazine. “I mean, I have a lot of other stuff to accomplish before I think about kids. Whenever the time is right, I’ll just know.” This much is certain: the pop star has found a great match in L.A. Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp in January, and wants an all-male household with him. “If I had a girl, she’d probably be really rebellious,” the singer laughs, alluding to her Good Girl Gone Bad ways. “She would be like a bundle of karma.” As for where she would raise her brood, Rihanna says she “would love to bring them up in Barbados,” though her job may prevent that from happening. “I can’t live that far away from everything now, without kids,” she explains. “I certainly couldn’t raise kids and [have a career] with the schedule I have.” She’s 22, fortunately, so she’s got time.

Justin Bieber Posts ‘It Gets Better’ Video

‘I just wanted to say there’s nothing cool about being a bully,’ singer says. By Gil Kaufman Justin Bieber in his “It Gets Better” video Photo: Warner Bros. Justin Bieber has joined the ranks of stars speaking out against bullying. The 16-year-old American Music Award-winning singer recently spoke to talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres about his own bullying experience, and in an “It Gets Better” clip that debuted on DeGeneres’ site on Monday, he urged his fans to take action if they see someone being bullied. In the 20-second video , Bieber, wearing a black T-shirt and backwards black baseball cap, says, “Hey guys, I’m Justin Bieber. I just wanted to say there’s nothing cool about being a bully. And if you’re getting bullied make sure to tell someone and, you know, it gets better. And if you’re a bystander, make sure to step in and, you know, help out.” The clip appeared to have been filmed during Bieber’s appearance on DeGeneres’ show earlier this month, when he discussed his own experiences with bullying. “Everybody goes through bullying,” he said on the show. “Everybody has, even me. On my YouTube page, there are so many haters. They just say crazy stuff. Like, I’m not mad, I’m 16 and I don’t have chest hair. I’m not angry about it at the moment. That will come. People are like, ‘Look at him, he puts helium in his voice before he sings.’ You just have to laugh at yourself. It’s funny.” His appearance on the show came shortly after he was reportedly bullied while playing laser tag in Canada in October. Bieber also had a similar message for those who see bullying going on around them. “There are so many bullies. It goes on so much,” he told DeGeneres. “I think that you should … especially if you are a bystander, you definitely should help out because it could be you next.” In the laser-tag incident last month, a 12-year-old boy allegedly used an anti-gay slur against Bieber after overzealously targeting the “Baby” singer during a heated match. Bieber joins a long list of stars and politicians who have joined the “It Gets Better” anti-bullying campaign, including President Obama , Secretary of State Hillary Clinton , Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Adam Lambert, Aubrey O’Day, Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington and Katy Perry, who dedicated her “Firework” clip to the campaign. ‘Glee’-Cap: Celebrate The Birth Of ‘Furt’

We’re not sure what was up with that Carol Burnett storyline, but sing along anyway. By Jim Cantiello, with additional reporting by Vaughn Trudeau Schoonmaker Chris Colfer and Cory Monteith in the “Furt” episode of “Glee” Photo: FOX This week’s “Glee” episode, “Furt,” featured not one, but two weddings — and not one, but two Bruno Mars songs . More important, it actually took the Kurt/bullying storyline somewhere. Celebrate with us and sing along! Do you want a wedding episode? I do! I do! Do I want “Glee” in a happy mode? I do! Do you Know why I’m crying When this show Used to Be funny and so shiny? But now I feel sad For tortured Kurt and lonely Sue His bully’s mad Kurt doesn’t know what he should do But cheer up, dude! Your bully’s dad is from “Lost.” He totally explodes. [ “Lost” clip of Arzt holding dynamite and exploding. ] Anyone remember that? Season one? Do you believe the boys stood up for Kurt? I do, I do Except for Finn, who tried his best to avert. So boo to Him until the wedding scene where We saw Finn Dedicate a sweet song to his New half-kin. But why were the pronouns all messy, She’s a him? I guess “Glee” won’t change lyrics unless It is about transsexuals. That’s right I’m still not over that “Rocky Horror” episode. Just sayin’. Sue Sylvester marries herself ’cause she can’t find a match. Mama Sue shows up but this plot point doesn’t attach. I guess producers had the chance to shoot with Carol Burnett, So they wrote in a Nazi-hunter filled with maternal regret How can I blame them for wanting to include Carol? Ryan Murphy clearly shrugged and said, “Sure, what the hell?” A shame her singing voice now sounds like her old Tarzan yell Is she coasting on her name? [ Clip of Carol emphatically saying, “I AM NOT!” ] [ Jim speaks ] Sorry, no disrespect! [ Tugs on his earlobe. ] [ Singing ] Do you want to know how “Glee” ends up? I do! I do! Sue expels the bully but the school board sucks, So Sue Resigns as principal in protest Mr. Schue Says regionals are coming next But Kurt’s to do List includes dodging closet cases Out to bruise His porcelain skin with so much hate He chooses to Transfer to the private school that’s basically paradise for gays. Let’s all praise! This storyline is great! What did you think of this week’s “Glee”? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Bruno Mars’ ‘Just The Way You Are’ Gets The ‘Glee’ Treatment

‘Furt’ episode also features ‘Marry You,’ the fourth Mars song to be covered this season. By Amy Semigran Bruno Mars Photo: MTV News It’s no surprise that one of 2010’s biggest collaborators, Bruno Mars , has already teamed up with the folks at “Glee” three times this season. While last week’s cover of “Forget You” (which skyrocketed to #1 on the iTunes charts after Gwyneth Paltrow’s take on the tune) technically belongs to Cee Lo, Mars did partially write the wildly popular tongue-in-cheek track. And new kid Sam sang “Billionaire,” Mars’ collaboration with Travie McCoy, in the season premiere. Now it’s his solo work that’s getting the “Glee” treatment. In this week’s episode, “Furt,” Finn (Cory Monteith) sang “Just the Way You Are,”

‘Glee’ Bully May Never Come Out, Max Adler Says

‘High school, that’s kind of your world and Karofsky’s fear is for people to find out who he is,’ he speculates to MTV News. By Kara Warner Max Adler Photo: MTV News McKinley High’s resident bully Dave Karofsky is causing a whole lot of trouble on “Glee.” Tuesday night’s (November 23) episode was especially painful to watch, what with his creepy klepto move with Kurt’s wedding-cake topper and that unbridled violence. It’s enough to make us wonder: What the heck is going to happen to him? Max Adler, the actor behind Karofsky , recently told MTV News he has some ideas about what might become of his character. “He could join New Directions, he could be a glee-clubber,” Adler offered. “Of course … he will maybe think about suicide,” he added. “Just because that’s going on in the nation right now, but I don’t know if they’re going to touch on that and go that deep. “I don’t know if there is any redemption [for Karofsky],” Adler continued. “I don’t know if he’s ever going to come out . In high school, that’s kind of your world and Karofsky’s fear is for people to find out who he is.” The “Glee” star emphasized that as far as his character’s arc is concerned, he really doesn’t know what’s in store but he’s glad to be making an impact onscreen. “I’m really just so thrilled to be able to play this part, and at this point in time in our nation and the world, even. I feel like I’m representing such a large group of people and it’s a crucial time. I don’t know where it’s going to go. I want it to be a great message,” Adler said. “I think I want him to have redemption and to eventually realize that people are tolerant and not prejudiced and there’s no ignorance and that he can come out and feel safe. I think that would be a great message,” he said hopefully. “But it depends where [creator] Ryan Murphy and all of them want to take him.” Where do you hope the “Glee” story line will take Karofsky?
